Naturally Matt thinks that the wall would have fallen by itself without any help from Pres Reagan or Margaret Thatcher. Anyone with any kind of perspective of world events understands Reagan and Thatcher’s contribution. There were thousands of German families reunited after the fall.

Matt, Katie, and all liberals had no interest in the wall coming down. They were happy with complete East German communist domination. It fits their world view of people under government oppression but they are the chosen view who are blessed with perks by the ruling class for representing their policies on TV. East Germany was an incredibly bleak country prior to the wall coming down, and there have been much improvements since.

It was a proud American moment when the fall occurred. I’m sure little Mattie had no idea.

Typical self-loathing comment by Lauer…what a cry baby…he’s says things to make himself sound astute, but he’s just another talking head doing the bidding of Obama. They’ll do anything to minimize or degrade something good that the Democratic party wasn’t envolved with.

Reagan not only told Gorbachov to “tear down that wall” he built up Western Europe’s
defense, and the U.S. military, and Gorbachov was FORCED to tear it down. So, if
Matt Lauer and Tom Brokaw want to say it was the benevolence of Gorbachov that
led to the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, they can live in their pc fantasy.
When you tell the bad guy who breaks into your house to “Get out or I’ll blow your
head off!” should we praise the bad guy for his judgment to leave? Or should
we praise the home-owner for protecting his family and property?

Lauer and Brokaw are so conditioned to rewrite the history of the cold war. What a pair of mindless tools! First, Lauer takes a cheap shot at his own country, dicrediting it for liberating Eastern Europe from Communist tyranny. Second, Brokaw takes a cheap shot at President Reagan by crediting Gorbachev, a dictator who was invested in the destruction of our country.

Clearly, Reagan’s words and strategy turned his stated goals into reality.

Conversely, Gorbachev’s goal certainly wasn’t to tear down the Berlin Wall and liberate the captive nations behind the Iron Curtain.

If you take Reagan out and put in…say…Carter, the outcome would almost certainly be different.

But if Reagan is still there, making the same decisions, with some other card-carrying commie in Gorbachev’s place, I think it’s safe to say that the wall still would have come down. Reagan is the one who made it all happen. He was the one who took action. Gorbachev simply reacted to whatever Reagan did.

Not only do these two media bozos question the importance and the goodness of our country and president, they also inflate the importance and imagine the goodness of one of the most evil and destructive forces in the 20th century.

Lauer and Brokaw make me sick, pure and simple.

Matt says things like this because he really sees America as the problem and cause of may injustices in the world like most neo-communist do that call themselves liberals these days. History and reality are irrevelant. We do not have to consider the efforts and heroic commitment to the fall of communism from John F Kennedy to Ronald Reagan. If Jack Kennedy were alive today he would slap this twit right across the face. The real issue is not Matts political opinions but a public that tolerates such treasonous speech and historical revisionism.
