Last Segment of John Ziegler’s Last Hour on KFI

Talk radio pro John Ziegler leaves Los Angeles's KFI on a golden note. Good luck to a man who stuck by his convictions no matter the consequence.

We’ll miss ya!

gary   November 14th, 2007 - 10:23 am

Why why why why why?????? what will I listen to now? Ziegler, well you will be missed very much. Don’t know you will even read this. I’m going to subscribe to your mailing list to find out if your going to do more radio.

Jaek   November 14th, 2007 - 3:06 pm

Thanks for publishing John’s signoff… KFI has almost successfully wiped any bit of Zig from their corporate memory. Too bad, John Zigler was the last Talk show host I listened too in their line-up. Good bye KFI!

Stuart O'Melveny   November 14th, 2007 - 4:49 pm

I considered John Ziegler one of the best, and I hope he gets back into radio in the not too distant future.

Cable executives should seriously consider hiring John Ziegler. There are so manny channels out there that I’m sure there’s one channel, one executive, who is willing to take a chance. Believe me. There’s an audience out there who will watch and listen to a person who can articulate his political views in an aggressive, persuasive, and humorous manner.

Susan   November 14th, 2007 - 10:20 pm

John Ziegler was one of my favorite KFI talk show hosts, I have found myself listening more and more to KRLA (conservative talk radio). Will miss you John (will try and keep a watch out for you)

Ron Klaver   November 14th, 2007 - 11:52 pm

Man, I loved your show!!! I missed it last night, Nov 13th, and I guess I missed a lot!! Your conservative/libertarian views are just fantastic. We will miss you very much. KFI needed your show and they’ll find out it was their loss in the not too distant future!! Hope to hear you soon John!!!

EngineerMeg   November 15th, 2007 - 12:05 am

John Ziegler was the the only Libertarian on KFI’s station. I’m angry that you can not speak the truth, unless you are Rush, without getting “kicked off” the biggest radio station in the country. And the only reason Rush doesn’t is because he is so large. It shouldn’t take that to get somewhere. This just goes to show that us little people mean nothing.

I miss Zig like crazy. Where else will I hear the real noise in the evening hours. It’s a shame there are not more people that stand up and say what’s what without getting flack. Political Correctness is killing this country.

We were listening Zig!!!!!! We stand with you!!!! We did NOT want to see you go.

EngineerMeg   November 15th, 2007 - 12:45 am

If you want to keep up with John Z, get on his mailing list

We love you, Zig! Remember you have many fans who will be awaiting your return on air, tv or other media. How about Fox News Channel?

LynnC   November 15th, 2007 - 3:00 am

I miss Zig already and I don’t think that any talk show will be able to replace him. Don’t know what the backstory is between him and KFI however to my way of thinking they made a huge mistake. Only reason to listen now is to hear Rush.

GailG   November 15th, 2007 - 10:21 pm

Definately KFI’s loss. However…as much as I’m going to miss the show…I have to say that for sometime now I’ve thought Zig is truly a talent destined for much bigger/better things than the likes of KFI. Some of the interviews he’s done this past year have been more than amazing and exhibits a level of talent that was just being wasted there.

KarlaK   November 15th, 2007 - 11:41 pm

Such a shock not to have Ziegler on KFI — Wishing John the best and hoping to hear him on the airwaves again soon!

EngineerMeg   November 16th, 2007 - 12:09 am

I’m really looking forward to his documentary on the Clinton’s. That should be as good as “The Path To 911,” that to this day Mrs Bill Clinton will not allow to be released on DVD and has stopped all but underground links to be able to be seen. Find it if you can and watch it. This tells you everything about the Clinton’s and how they will destroy this country if voted into the White House Again.
Thank you Zig for always telling the truth, regardless if people can’t handle it.

GailG, you are correct in your assessment. He’s destined for bigger and better things. And rightfully so.

Rock On Zig!

ZigFan   November 16th, 2007 - 1:59 am

The evenings are not the same without you and your show! You are missed!

Zephyr_Leo   November 16th, 2007 - 2:50 am

I will miss Zig very much. A genuine voice of truth is gone. Come Back !!!! I have lost a friend. Take care, Buddy!

EngineerMeg   November 16th, 2007 - 11:17 pm

I miss the closing theme.

“We Will Not Tire, We WILL Not Falter and WE WILL NOT FAIL”

“Are the any real men left in Washington…or are they all cowards”

Sgt. Steve Garrison   November 18th, 2007 - 3:24 am

John Ziegler was in the important issues and in depth. He was the only stimulant on the air that gave the public truth and justice to facts. Wayne is limp compared to Zig. John and Ken seem to be after facts, but insincere on following up any issues off the air. I know John Ziegler after four years of listening is the best you ever had. He certainly followed up issues personally to a frightening degree-but that was stimulating…Now the show is blah, blah and no longer exciting with real slammimg and blamming. Just limp like any 790 AM show or others. Please let Zig know he is missed. I certainly would like to have him back. Maybe you can slot him on a week-end show for six to eight hours to go over the issues we need exposure and truth on. Please don’t let him get away. His efforts with ours won’t be in vain, when we freely speak the truth. Thank you.

lolly arden   November 20th, 2007 - 10:58 pm

I will miss you John.. moved from LA to Nashville and was addicted to your podcasts.. the best and most important man in the media.. had the courage to tell the truth…

cywave   November 24th, 2007 - 2:39 am

I never really liked you but I respected your views and honesty of your convictions and that is what kept me listening to you.

Good luck in the path you choose. I know you will do well in whatever you get into
Bye for now.

GailG   November 25th, 2007 - 7:54 pm

OMG…can’t say I’m impressed with the replacement guys so far. One talks about his cat’s blog(?)…the other…annoying voice with the kind of meandering style that often makes it difficult to figure out what the heck he’s talking about and forcing you to make a conscious decsion about weather or not you care enough to figure out The only thing interesting left are those rare moments when Leah is talking….I miss John

EngineerMeg   November 30th, 2007 - 1:41 am

Wayne Resnick is rather cool but very politically correct when explaining his tenuous opinions. I know he wants to go there but just does it with kit gloves. His show on Saturday cracks me up cause I love his music. Anyone that talks about “the immograchion situaachion” then plays Genius, “Illegal Alien” cracks me up. And lets not bag on Isabella, she’s just a cat trying to blog; that’s pretty damn impressive. (joking to all those that don’t get humour)
Chris Baker I can’t figure out. I think it’s that scare tactic conservative talk. He’s not diverse enough for me.
If i’m “stuck” without Zig, I’ll take Wayne over Chris. But I’d prefer Zig. Not going to happen so i’ve accepted it now.

Man Down, Man Down…..

GailG   December 1st, 2007 - 3:44 pm

I e-mailed Laura Ingraham and asked her to interview Zig…….like she will listen to me…but hey…she did play one of his interview clips on her show…so who knows and if we don’t ask right???

Okay Meg…on your word…I’ll give Wayne (and Isabella) some extra time to grow on me…but no disrespect intended…just can’t see ever liking his show as much as John.

Happy Holidays

EngineerMeg   December 3rd, 2007 - 2:54 am

GailG, Wayne will never be as good as Zig. No one will ever be as good as Zig. Even though Rush is up there, I know too much about whats what to always take what he says at face value. Not That There Is Anything Wrong…with Rush. He is The Man. Just Zig is more The Man of this day.

Wayne can rule when he wants to, wish he would do that more often. And Isabella is funny at times; right now super funny with her attacks on illegal Mexican dogs taking over the veterinarian health care system.

GailG   December 3rd, 2007 - 10:07 pm

What in the world is up with this Ask a Mexican? They are kidding…..right?

It was nice to at least get to hear the video clips of John at the Thompson gig. Just wish there would/could have been more

EngineerMeg   December 3rd, 2007 - 11:57 pm

Agreed! I wanted to complain to the radio station but didn’t get an answer of who was producing the show. It was completely one sided and defensive not too mention ridiculous of KFI. I’m sure it made a lot of listeners mad. I turned it off after an hour and went to on demand. As much as I disagree with Handel’s need for universal health care, I’d rather get stuck listening to that then Ask a Mexican. This station might be lost. I blame that on John and Ken for many reasons.
Zig’s comments at the F. T. gig was awesome! I want more John Ziegler. He was my “crack”

GailG   December 4th, 2007 - 6:43 pm

Although I started listening to KFI because of John & Ken…John Ziegler was what kept me listening after the novelty of John & Ken wore off.

I’ve never really listened to Handel…but if he’s so pro Universal Health Care…he should go read the post back comments in the UK Newspapers to learn about the reality of people who have to live with it…it gives you a whole different perspective.

Like you…listening to the Ask a Mexican guy about an hour into it I realized it wasn’t a badly played skit and turned it off…haven’t tuned in since.

Although I’ve seen some vague references to bad feelings between Zig and John&Ken…I hadn’t been a listener long enough…what is up with that?

Thanks

EngineerMeg   December 5th, 2007 - 12:06 am

Unfortunately, I have no life evidentially and listen to KFI from 5 am to 10 pm. Everyday, including weekends accept the 2 hours on Sunday that the idiot Sean Rima spends jabbering repeatedly. John Z was the perfect end to my day and I looked forward to the 7 o’clock hour Mon through Fri every week. I know the dealio between John Z and John C but will leave it up to Zig to explain. He will if you get on his mailing list and check out his website. http://www.johnziegler.com/
Again, because I listen all the time, I was aware that Zig was being booted a ways sooner than everyone else that didn’t catch the slip that John C made on the John and Ken show. I was pi$$ed. At that point, they’ve been on my bad side. Plus there is a candidate for Mayor that is trying to get the word out that he wouldn’t let LA become Mexico and John and Ken won’t even bring him on the show. For all their complaining about illegal aliens taking over you’d think they would help the cause but I have some inside info on why they won’t help Walter Moore but again, will not say anything and leave it up to Walter to explain.
You can check him out if you like: http://web.mac.com/waltermoore/WalterMooreForMayor/Home.html for more info. Zig doesn’t think this guy has a chance but if we all think like that we will lose this fight. And like our wonderful military hero’s, I’m not willing to throw in the towel and just give up in defeat.
Plus anyone that says, “I won’t clean your toilets but I will clean Villaraigosa’s clock,” gets my vote right there.

The biggest thing I love about Zig is that he doesn’t tip toe around stuff, he just says it like it is and that’s why I respect him. Anyone that steps up, I’ll stand right next to…not behind.

GailG   January 19th, 2008 - 3:01 am

So nice to hear John back on the air…though the clips are all too short.

Not listening to KFI at all now except for Dr. Laura…found another station to hear Rush and if I could find another for Dr. Laura in the same time slot…I’d go elsewhere for her too!

Mike   January 12th, 2009 - 2:11 am

There’s a reason why Zig can’t keep a steady job. I guess his only source of income now is making biased documentaries like Michael Moore
