ANYONE who has worked in Vegas for even a few weeks realizes very quickly how very many people sit there and destroy their lives literally.
It’s their life.. that’s fine.. but the President is correct.
I ran a gaming room here in Montana until last year.. I had to get out because I was sick of seeing people make a B line from the Pawn shop next door to the ‘casino’ and then cry later they have no money. So many people, day in and day out.. one man who works for Conoco (refinery town this is) comes into town for about a month every year, most of that time, from 8 in the morning until I would have to poke him awake as he dozed off at closing time.. actually said he was going to sue me because there is no way he could spend 45,000 dollars there in the last several days and not win anything.. said he would never be back again.. the next week, there he was, back again, he has sold his Lexus (didn’t need it anyway, he said) and pissed all that money away as well.
Personal responsibility? YOU BET..
President out of line for noting that Vegas is the last place you should be putting your money if you are having money problems?? Nonsense.. that was common sense speak. I understand vegas could get upset by the comments.. but drug dealers get angry about the signs that say they need to stay 1000 feet away from a school.
We MUST get over this partisan nonsense.. every time a republican or Democrat say something lately, the other side pisses it’s self in their rabid haste to make something of it.
These politicians, thee partisans are killing us..
I too want the country back.. but common sense talk like what the preseident was saying about money and vegas, should NEVER cause ANY Reasonable person to cry foul.. because like it or not, it’s the fookin truth.
Vegas is eveill it is a fun fun place to go when you have no money worries.. it also consumes and destroys people at what would be an epidemic if it were something like swine flu.
Instead of Vegas crying about this revelation, they should step up to the plate and say ‘hey, this is the reason we are making the best value family packed BUDGET vacation packages available, so you can do a LOT here for the least.. instead of crying about ‘the truth’.
People are daft.. both sides.. I am SO sick of partisan crybabies. And the Dems and GOP can kiss my and I like to believe a growing number of real Americans ars’es..
And the Mayor of Vegas.. you sir are an executive of a city with deep roots in the financial destruction of others, I can think of NO BETTER example than your city, as to the kinds of activities those with financial troubles should avoid at this time of financial upheaval.
All of those SEIU clowns in Vegas voted for Obozo and now he’s killing their service industry jobs.
Obama should have also included spending a wad of taxpayer money to attend Eco-conferences in Iceland.
What did everyone expect would happen when an over-educated moron with a drug habit and zero practical life experience was elected to manage the worlds biggest economy? Obama is a child in a suit. This fella has no business being president.period.
