Well, in order to win the lawsuit, you would have to prove that SEIU encouraged its members to attack healthcare opponents. It is doubtful they would be doumb enough to do this. If the pizza delivery guy has a clean record and shows up at your door and starts punching you, you can't sue Pizza Hut.
Ok, here's what I saw on the video. The video starts with an SEIU member on the ground. Another SEIU member and Gladney approach the guy at the same time, The SEIU member pushes Gladney out of the way to get to his friend. Gladney falls down and immediately gets up and walks around like he is fine for the rest of the video. Where was the "brutal beatdown"? If I saw my friend laying on the ground with another guy standing over him like he is about to stomp on him, I would push someone out of the way to get to him, too. Just because you find SEIU's political stance repugnant (as do I) is no reason to create a false narrative like this. It just makes you look bad.
The union's usefulness have run their course, they nearly bankrupt everything they touch and their involvement in politics should be halted.

Well, sure you can sue them, but you're not going to win. It would be kind of a waste of time. Plus, depending on how the complaint is drafted, it could potentially be the type of claim where the loser pays the other parties attorneys fees. I really don't think Gladney wants to be stuck paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees.
Plus, after watching the video, no lawyer in his right mind would take the case.

I definately will be carrying mine here in Houston. After the warehouse that houses all the voting equipment for the county was destroyed by fire, (strangely days after a group was charged with voter registration fraud). I'm concerned about the whole process here, since the likelyhood of getting 8,600 replacement machines bought or loaned to them in time is in doubt (In the week since the fire, they've ordered 2,500 machines from the vendor who thinks they can meet the timeline, but the rest is up to other counties in the state that use the same system). They've promised paper ballots (the fill in the oval with a pencil type, not the "hanging chad" type) as a backup for large queues, but either way there's still a risk of a polling station having problems.
That's why I'll be early voting (considering getting an absentee ballot), and will have my camera on standby in case there's trouble from SEIU or other groups at the polling place (a community center).
I supported Gov. Carnahan in 2000-2001 when I was fighting my case against the Labor Relations Board, and the Democrat he placed on the board voted in my favor. (The 3-person board was without a member for most of a year, and the other two members were deadlocked on the case).
After that, I could care less… I moved on (I didn't live in Missouri anyway, so it didn't make a difference to me – I was dealing with Former Kansas Governor and now Secretary of HHS Sebelius and trying to get rid of her – after I got burned by an insurance company and she, as Insurance Commissioner basically backed the insurance company with no concessions).
