Even that bastion of accuracy, Wikipedia, will reflect that Guevara met the Brothers Castro and together, they embarked on their bloody revolution. Guevara was the point of the gun with which Castro took Cuba. (Overthrowing the rich people was such a glorious victory, because now, only one person in Cuba is rich: Castro)

Following up on my comment above, I asked the nice young lady how the Congresswoman’s history of Cuba clashes with that of —- Castro himself. I’ve never heard the story that he was out in the countryside – a country lawyer? – and he was discovered after the revolution. Hell, he had a gun and led guerillas alongside Raul and Che. I did go to Cuba, it was a hell hole. You want to know what I learned? Communism = no toilet paper/ no food. The local people in Havana live like rats. There healhcare didn’t look all that great to me, I saw quite a few sick people begging for money on the streets. There were check points everywhere.
