I don’t consider myself a “birther” per se, but I do admit that it is troubling that this President refuses to share his college information. The people have a right to know about how his education was paid for; what forms of Affirmative Racism he was able to take advantage of, if any; what his writings stated; what his grades were; and, most importantly, what citizenship he claimed upon enrollment for acceptance, and for financial aid, if any.

The fact that he continues to hide these basic facts only feeds speculation that he is not qualified to hold his office. It is unbecoming, and unacceptable that he not share this information with the American People. I think it should be a legal obligation that this information be made public. The fact that Obama’s supporters continue to stand behind him, after they justifiably ridiculed GWB’s college record and his perceived lack of intelligence, shows the boundlessness of their hypocrisy.

The economy is not in freefall and our stock portofolios are much healthier. Taxes have been reduced for 98% of Americans and jobs are slowly coming back. So president Obama has earned the right to say as he wishes especially when a lot of his detractors have mired themselves in the muck of xenophobia and paranoia.

You are against freedom, liberty and our constitutional republic and the notion that all of our rights are inborn and are given by our creator. Some autocrat in Washington does not grant rights – the constitution simply enumerates them for added protection. The constitution also limits the Powers of the Federal Government yet an expansionist authoritarian view is used in modern times contrary to what Madison had intended. If you support Obama you support the biggest threat to our free will in our history, and when the last bastion of freedom in the USA falls, there is nowhere else to go.

Two questions:
1. How many of you voted for Obama but now attend teaparties to protest Obama? It is just too hard, with all the misinformation and illusions to figure out if there actually are ex-Obama supporters and have actually embraced many of the Tea Party sentiments.

2. How was it even allowed for a president to make a dictatorial move of sealing all his records once elected? Was that really true he did that with his first executive order? Can’t this move of his be challenged as censorship or abuse of power or something?

There is no hope for swaying the opinion of people like jillianmcbride. They will be standing behind the barbed wire one day wondering what the hell happened. Our fearless leader would never do this to us! Study history. This has all happened before. Different actors, but the same play.

I don’t understand how people can be giving Obama credit for the current tax reductions. What you are enjoying right now are the Bush era tax reductions that will expiring soon since this administration voted not to continue them.

Obama’s pledge is to give a “tax refund” to 96% of Americans, this amounts to $500.00 to each individual, and $1,000.00 per couple. HOWEVER, as the Washington Post noted, 47% of American do not pay ANY taxes to begin with, so the “tax relief” is just another form of welfare for the majority of people that are eligible for this. Most will not invest, or save it, so it merely becomes another transfer of wealth from one group of society to another.

What everyone is upset about are the increases in taxes that are without any doubt going to come in the near future. We cannot sustain this debt, AND take on new entitlement programs without increasing taxes. The VAT tax is gaining ground, and it will effect everyone. New fuel taxes are coming, and increased taxes on business will keep unemployment high. As for the stock market, it rebounded without the stimulus bill, which largely has not even been used.

Most of Obama’s programs will not come into effect for a few years, THEN when inflation, and higher taxes hit, ask yourself if think he has done a good service to this country.

I find it extremely irritating that people did not bother to listen to what Obama was saying as he ran for office. He actually TOLD us what he was all about. His changes FOR AMERICA were described yet people failed to listen but voted for him. rick: Just for the record, I don’t personally use “evil” or “socialism” or “communist” etc.,etc. so before you make presumptuous statements that lump me in with a bunch of people you might want to actually know whether or not I “wildly accuse and attack” ANYONE. Likewise with your Hillary remark – what do you know about my “side”? Are all liberals moving in mental lock-step? Are you individuals with differences of opinion? Just so I’m an individual to you and not a “thing” to be demonized: I believe I’m entitled to make my point by quoting anyone who’s words are applicable. If you could use a Reagan or Goldwater quote to make a point against Bush that would be your right. So what if “your side” hated them all?

Also, you missed my whole point about 1960; that there’s plenty of lying and distortion from the left and has been for decades – especially from the Chicago political machine Obama traces his roots to. By the way, if I had an example from the ’40s, I’d have used it; it would have done a BETTER job of making my point.

As far as Governor Palin is concerned, I would like to meet her but I don’t glorify her. I certainly don’t swoon over her the way I’ve seen people react to Obama. For example, I’m no more likely to ever buy or read Palin’s book than Obama’s books (and yes, I can and do read; I just have other preferences).

Anyway, if you want to dump on me then dump on ME not some one-size-(mis)fits-all preconceived notion of me. Of course, lots of people of all political stripes make assumptions about fellow posters on sites like this. I just chose to give you a more accurate picture of me.
