‘Kill the Bill!’: Tea Partiers Flock to DC in Bid to Stop ObamaCare

"My favorite sign that I saw said 'Grandma isn't shovel ready,'" Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said.

O'Really?   March 16th, 2010 - 1:22 pm

Haw! Haw! That sure if funny, Michele. Under your system of do nothing and let the insurance companies throw out whomever they want, Grandma can spend all of her assets to live and leave nothing to her Grandkids to remember her by or she can drop dead.

No one is suggesting that we limit Granny’s health care. And even if you are correct about your so called “Death Panels” and she is denied medical coverage because it is somehow deemed to be futile, she still has the same option that she has now…she can pay for her medical care herself.

God Bless these Patriots.
Liberals know NOTHING of patriotism.
It’s a curiosity and disgust for them.

CNN lost its credibility on this issue and will never get it back   March 16th, 2010 - 1:33 pm

I don’t want to watch CNN especially about anything having to do with Tea Parties. I refuse to watch that. I’ll be getting my info from the net on the protest today thankyouverymuch.

lalz @ “O’Really?”

Apparently obamas plan to have operative drones call talk radio has expanded into the area of internet comment boards.

O'Really?   March 16th, 2010 - 2:21 pm

Gee, Robert, do you have anything of value to add to the discussion or are you just regurgitating Hannity, Limpbrains, and the rest of the right wing talk radio hacks? There are people out there who support health care reform and they aren’t all “Obama operatives”.

And you call me a drone…

Desiree   March 16th, 2010 - 2:47 pm

O’Really is the perfect example of why I don’t want the government forcing me to pay for anyone else’s healthcare. Healthcare is not a right. Name a right you
are forced to pay for.

You pay the taxes for four years before the “benefits” kick in. Okenyan you lie and peelousy and dingy you lie. Stop obamanation care now!!! Thank you Patriots
for storming DC. If you can’t make it to DC, call your representative and make your voice heard. This is the most corrupt and criminal congress ever. It’s
time to take our country back!

Where in the Constitution does it state the government can force me to pay for something or pay for someone else’s healthcare?

America…DO NOT GO THROUGH THE GENERAL SWITCHBOARD IN WASHINGTON! IT WILL BE OVERLOADED AND YOU WILL NOT GET THROUGH!

Go here instead to get the numbers/emails of your State reps:

1. USA.gov
2. At top…click on ’site index’
3. At left…click on ‘federal government’
4. In middle…click on ‘legislative’
5. Pick Senate and then put in your state
6. Pick House and then put in your state

This is the only way for you to make an impact…not the switchboard!

O'Really is an O'Commie   March 16th, 2010 - 4:16 pm

The American people reject the government take over of healthcare, particularly considering the mismanagement of Medicare and Medicade.

You’re obviously a seminar troll dispatched to pimp Obama’s “CommieCare” and shove the agenda.

Get a real job.

How many years has it been since we paid so much attention? & are we ready to see this through to the end? This will not fix in an election cycle, or even ten. We need to draw the line with our elected officials, & tell them, NO MORE BIG GOVERNMENT! We must take the reigns, or so help us, we will go down in flames.

Power to the people!

Kent Pankow lives in Edmonton, in a province and a country that is trying to either kill him or bankrupt him.

No sense mincing words.

Suffering from brain cancer, Kent Pankow was literally forced to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. for lifesaving surgery — at a cost to family and friends of $106,000 — >>>>>>>after the health-care system<<<<<<<< (aka “Death Panels”) in Alberta left him hanging in bureaucratic limbo for 16 crucial days, his tumour meanwhile migrating to an unreachable part of the brain, while it dithered over his case file, ultimately deciding he was not surgery worthy.

Now, with the Mayo Clinic having done what the Alberta Cancer Board wouldn’t authorize or even explain, but with the tumour unable to be totally removed, the province will now not fund the expensive drug, Avastin, that the Mayo prescribed to keep him alive and keep the remaining tumour from increasing in size — despite the costs of the drug being totally funded by the province for other forms of cancer.

Kent Pankow, as it turns out, has the right disease but he has it in the wrong place.

Had he lung cancer, breast cancer, or colon cancer, then the cost of the drug — $4,555 per treatment, two times a month — would be totally covered by Alberta’s version of OHIP.
