He walked away and nothing was done until the next day! Huge difference! Huge! Laura Bush was not an elected official. Wow–I haven’t heard rabid anti-Irish crap like that since the last time I watched “The Gangs of New York.” Why Kennedy kept getting elected in Massachusetts is explained by the lack of intelligence of the LIBERALS. Here’s one raging conservative, moral, teetotalling, Kennedy-hating Irishman who is glad the pig is dead. If you mean the liberal Boston slobs of whom many are of Irish descent, please specify so.
What I don’t understand about Good Time Teddy the Sandwich King is why somebody didn’t waste him like his brothers.
None of what I’m about to say excuses the behavior described in this story…
Being and official Kennedy hater, I loathe to say this; but I doubt he was ever in that car. Look, when Mary Jo was found, the diver said she was clinging to the roof of the car where an air bubble had formed. If Ted had been in the car and managed to open the door before the car submerged, no air bubble would’ve formed.
Had Ted escaped out an open window, No air bubble would’ve formed and why wouldn’t
Mary Jo escape through said window. Also, there is no physical way a closed door
could’ve been opened once the car was submerged. The water pressure on the outside
of the door would’ve made this impossible. Thus Ted would’ve been killed too.
I think a story told to me by an Edgartown native, who knows the area pretty well,
is the most likely story. They’re on the beach fooling around, about to be discovered.
He’s a married man and a senator. He hands her the keys and says go to your hotel.
He goes back to his. She doesn’t know the area, she’s from out of town. Misses the
angled bridge, which didn’t have a guard rail back then and in she goes.
Like I said, I can’t stand the Kennedy’s and Ted is the worst of the bunch but,
there it is.
Poor deluded Barbra! Ted was never a gallant, caring individual. He only cared about himself. Barbra, you should apologize to the Kopechne family for your remarks. How utterly irreverent of you! Nostromo is right, Ted was born to a life of priviledge. That priviledge was borne out of a career that his father created…selling illegal booze. That entire family has lived a lie and some of the public continue to close their eyes to it. Poor Mary Jo never had the chance to live her life, to marry, have children and watch them grow up. She remained trapped inside that watery grave while Ted swam away to safety. I wonder what he was hiding? Hmmm. Gallantry was never a part of Ted’s psyche, nor was he caring, nor was he working for the American public. He was the murderer of Mary Jo Kopechne, and promoted the murders of millions of unborn children. What’s so gallant about that, Barbra?
America will be better without the Liar of the Senate. He joked about the killing of an innocent girl and his friends found this acceptable? They are all so dispicable. Teddy will be remembered by many as the student expelled from Harvard, a drunk, a philanderer, an adulterer, a liar, a murderer, an irresponsible Uncle who while spending time with his nephew allowed a young girl to be raped.
What a horrible guy.
