And just what exactly is Stewart’s profession? Oh yeah, he’s a comedian. And we all know what a great source of intellectual wisdom they are.

We conservatives need to lighten up sometimes. I recognized myself with the peanut butter in a spoon. The suicidal bear and dead flowers were great! Come on folks… I found it funny. If I took all this stuff coming down so seriously all the time, then I would have to move to the woods or New Zealand!
Hannity and his show were clearly in error here and it was nice that he apologized. But, he should have lead his show with it and maybe could have been a bit more sincere with it. He had a pretty smug face when he said what he did. I thought Jon Stewart was pretty funny, even though I don’t agree with his liberal views. When someone lies or misrepresents the truth, people should be called out for it no matter what their angle is. Hannity is obviously a Republican hack and he doesn’t apologize for it.
Moral of the story – don’t lie or fake a news story to fit an agenda… period.

(Of course, not). If you made the correct assertion that Dubya was a democrat-lite on social spending they’d drop their jaw open even further. Stewart despises his audience more than a conservative ever could. The average college kid today knows less about civic matters than the average HS graduate did in the sixties. Stewart’s routine would not have sold nearly as well then as it does today. He knows just how naive and ignorant his public school/dumbed-down college educated fans are. And, he is loving it! So, just laugh along at the very clever antics he uses to amuse and distort further the world view of the dolts. I imagine many of them feel like they are smarter having bought the con hook, line and sinker. Now, that really is funny and we should be able to laugh at the spectacle.
