Look Mr. Jindal. Louisiana has taken billions from oil revenues and leases and oil derived federal money, and, frankly, wasted it. If you are going to take money, make a profit, from oil, it is incumbent upon you to use some of the money for contingency planning, particulary the contingency of a spill. You simply can’t rely on the federal government because it, too, too hundreds of billions in profits from oil and wasted it without having the first contingency plan in place. And for those who now don’t want the consequwnces of oil harvesting, quit using the damn stuff yourselves first.

I don’t see how any one can be blaming Jindal or Louisiana for anything that goes wrong here. When Katrina hit it was Bush and the federal government that failed. The feds were responsible for policing, food, evacuation, and rebuilding. By this same standard, I think Jindal should just kick back and point the finger at Washington.

I keep waiting for the sort of outrage on this issue that we saw with Bush.

W.Vida…How about sticking to your own standards? Like stopping federal spending on certain special states that have fought oil/enviro regulation tooth and nail . Or is it more important to be “right” and throw your temper tantrums and gum up any progress on any front in America until your party obtains the power to rule recklessly again. I know you long for the day that your prez can manipulate us into another EXTRA BONUS Pork Barrel Iraq-like War again. And then point to others about deficits that your factions caused…and blame anyone who has to do unpopular things to right the ship again. What do you think a depression would do to the deficit?

Scientists are now blaming the Obama administration for lacking any coherent “solutions” to the devastating oil spill in the Gulf. They are also blaming the Obama administration for taking such a lackadaisical attitude when the oil rig disaster first happened and then waiting a whole week before they did anything. Just like Obama is “weak” on terror and border security and illegal immigration and the economy and practically everything else as far as I’m concerned, he is also weak on natural disaster response(s) which is all too obvious. It’s interesting that the Scientists are NOT blaming Bobby Jindal or Louisiana or even BP. They are blaming Obama. For his “tepid” lackadaisical response and for any lack of coherent solutions to the problem. Typical Obama right? ;P

Well after this debacle you can kiss the whole “Drill baby Drill” nonsense ta ta after this “Spill baby Spill”

By the way. The bigger this oil spill mess, the more benefit Obama and Democrats hope to gain from it. The flow will get stopped but the pictures will last a few years. Don’t expect any solutions from the Obama gang until after November 2010, if ever, only accusations, finger pointing, parades of liberal victims, blame, lawsuits, and taxes, taxes, taxes.

This spill is Bush and Cheney’s fault – deregulating oil industry, Halliburton paid millions to Cheney for eased restrictions, acoustic shut value not required, etc. Governor Hadji wants state’s rights except when he cashes federal stimulus checks and cries for help with the oil spill. Who cares anyway? According to Rush Oxycontin Limbaugh, the ocean will clean up the oil on it’s own.

Y’all can ping pong back in forth about the politics of it all, BUT the fact remains we have a very serious situation going on. My state is facing another tragedy and possably all of the gulf states. Who would want to swim even in Florida when u can’t be sure of the water?! This is really bad and finger pointing needs to stop. We need HELP.
