It’s about time that Senator Barbara Boxer was seen publicly for being the racist that she is. When Harry Alford came to testify before her sub-committee, she essentially tried to call him a “stupid black”, and shut him out. But, he would not stand for it.

Kudos to Mr. Alford for standing up to Ms. Boxer with facts not opinions, with truth not myths, and with courage despite her bitterly arrogant treatment of him! Before today, I had never heard Mr. Alford speak. But after listening to him for just a couple of minutes, he got my attention and my respect. Ms. Boxer, on the other hand, lost what grudgingly little respect I had previously accorded her.

She could not believe that an intelligent, educated, and well-spoken black man would have an opinion different from the liberal tripe that she spouts daily. She could not believe that he came prepared with facts, figures, and the ability to intelligently use them. And, she could not believe that he wouldn’t just shut up and go away when she tried to assert her senatorial superiority. It backfired. Harry came away looking like the factually prepared and intelligent man he is. Senator Boxer came away with mud on her face.

We need more Harry Alfords, men who will cite the facts even if the liberals don’t like them; men who will stand for truth even when it’s unpopular or not politically correct, men who are not afraid of the Barbara Boxers of the world.

Harry, I don’t know if you’ll ever read this. But you have my deep admiration and respect. Keep on fighting the good fight!

I had the privilege of hearing this amazing interview live, and Mr. Alford is one incredible, ballsy guy.

Mr. Alford made the mistake of commissioning a study by a highly reputable firm in order to predict the impact of the Cap and Trade Bill on all businesses in our economy.

He came bearing facts, and the facts demonstrate that Cap and Trade would be a huge economic burden on our already teetering economy.

“Ma’am” Boxer freaked. She panicked. She played the race card and dragged out resolutions and opinions of leftist organizations whose members have never produced anything other than rhetoric. The NAACP, 100 Black Men, and the Pew Charitable Trust are leaches that nourish themselves with the wealth generated by entrepreneurs.

Mr. Alford represents people who perceive a need in the free market, creatively propose a way to fulfill that need, raise capital, and take enormous economic risks to pursue the American Dream. These entrepreneurs do not have the luxury of theorizing or pursuing pipe dreams. They must deal with hard, cold economic facts.
They know a ridiculous, destructive idea when they hear it. They know instinctively that Cap and Trade is Crap in Spades.

It’s a shame “Ma’am” Boxer has contempt for the very people who have the knowledge and skill to lead us out of our recession and who very likely will develop market-oriented solutions to energy and pollution problems as well.

and minorities to have opportunites to attend the best schools. EDUCATION is the great equalizer, and the

students who are being forced by Democrats to attend failing public schools are NOT being given the opportunities

BEST SCHOOLS, and do not think that low income individuals should be forced to send their children to failing
public schools. Minorities need to research this issue and realize that Republicans are the party of equal

Former President Bill Clinton, Democrat, sent his own daughter to the expensive Sidwell Friends private school,
but would not allow school vouchers to be given to low income and minority families so that they could make a
choice to send their children to the best school as well. President Obama, Democrat, sends his two daughters
to the same exclusive Sidwell Friends private school, and he ELIMINATED the school voucher program in
Washington D.C. effectively denying anyone but the wealthy to attend the same school that his daughters get
to attend.

I used to be a Democrat until I realized that the Democratic party is the real home of racists in the US. I am a Republican now because they want the government to lower my taxes and get out of the way of my hard work. My family is proud and hardworking and all Democrats seem to say these days is how we in the minority community cannot make it without them and government. Boxer should be chased out of office by Californians for making this racist argument. The witness was correct that she was trying to pit one minority member against another. We are all Americans, not the Democrats’ split-up groups. They are doing divide and conquer- keep the rich and poor, brown, white, gay, straight fighting so they can keep power. I am proud to have become a citizen the legal way and I am angry with people like Boxer who keep offering the fruits of others’ labor in exchange for votes and power. I know Americans heard Henry Alford today. I can only hope Californians will listen to Mr. Alford and shake off the last forty years of toxic “old-ways” dust that Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi so vividly personify. If Californians do so, they have a chance to no longer be people held hostage by these self-serving, millionaire politicians who act like they care about the very poor so that they can pay no more than “lip service” to ‘The Forgotten Man’ – the working people (now many of whom are the unemployed) of California – whatever their respective salaries might be or were.

After forty years, NOTHING, has improved in San Francisco and EVERYTHING has worsened. Poverty is greater, diversity is less, education is worse, small businesses are closed or on life-support. Without a twist of fate, the rich remain rich and those who would like to become rich find it is impossible because they pay out their incomes in high housing costs and higher taxes with nothing left on which to become “rich.” People who earn salaries are taxed at 40% and 50% and 60%. This is an insult and isn’t the least bit fair, it is just an effective way to insure that no one will ever join the “rich” they are just labeled as “rich” because they actually earn a living. Indeed the Boxer/Obama/Pelosi policies insure no one will become “rich” except for those who are already wealthy. That’s why Sen. Boxer, Rep. Pelosi, Sen. Rockefeller, Sen. Kerry (okay he married money), Sen. Snow, and the list goes on, don’t flinch at the programs they advocate – they have already accumulated their money. Notice that none of these folks propose that the IRS reach into a rich person’s net worth and levy taxes on that amount. Notice that these taxpayer paid congress people have exempted themselves from Obama’s plans to take over your medical care and medical insurance. They and their families will still have access to doctors and medical insurance that will not determine and ration their healthcare. TAKE NOTICE. They know that if they can incite black to hate white, democrat to hate republican, middle to class to hate the rich, the poor to hate the middle class, and on and on – they will win. I used to live in the Bay Area years ago, and I can remember when Barbara Boxer was on the Marin County Board of Supervisors. Back then, most Bay Area folks considered her “crazy liberal”, even by the standards of Bay Area politics (so was Nancy Pelosi), in contrast to mainstream Democratic politicians like Dianne Feinstein, who was (and is) universally respected. I am stunned that both Boxer and Pelosi have reached high office, since they always seemed like strictly local talent when they were starting out.

THANK GOD FOR MR.ALFORD. There are notable exceptions, however, most of these are true of the typical liberal black.

As an aside, ODuma is NOT Black or African America. In order to be Black, he would have had to have at least one parent who was the descendent of African slaves in the US. Instead, his lineage is made up of African, who ironically not only sold our descendents into slavery, but also think VERY little of African Americans.

His opinion as the head of a Chamber of Commerce was that ‘green jobs’ were not actually creating jobs.

It is really quite simple. If she had used that condescending tone of voice with me I would have been offended as well. She was talking to a well educated, successful, adult, not a recalcitrant 5 year old. Then to add insult to injury, she was trying to rebut this man’s testimony with statements from other black groups while not addressing the fact that the total statement from the NAACP was in opposition to her point of view. They were supposed to be discussing energy policy which the Black Chamber of Commerce has a legitimate perspective because they represent many small and medium business that will be adversely affected by those laws. The NAACP doesn’t really come across as being a legitimate organization to be jumping in to this debate unless they are pointing out that a disproportionate number of Blacks will be adversely impacted by this legislation. It was totally refreshing to hear someone clearly speak their mind, whether I agree with them or not, instead of the mealy mouthed spin we usually hear. I do think, though, she was dismissive of a person who was trying to present their side of the argument and her dragging out other reports by blacks had nothing to do with the issue he was trying to make.

Hey Joe, how can someone representing the Black Chamber of Commerce be insulted by having his argument countered with NAACP reports? He was trying to give the impression that blacks don’t support green jobs. Wrong, as Barbara Boxer showed.

I e-mailed him this morning at the National Black Chamber of Commerce . I also urged him to run for national office. Been thinking about this whole thing some and agree that he had a right to be annoyed at what Boxer was doing, ie, presenting an opposing viewpoint from other “black organizations” without those organizations being directly business-related. Had she had statements from some, say, the AABBA, that might be a little different. Of course I can say the politics of race and the organization of business groups by race (even if it’s only minorities doing it) is troublesome, as it seems to me, such divisions will only make a day when they aren’t present anymore very hard to come by.

Anyway, I feel he would have done a better job of making a point that appealed to everyone without pushing any race buttons by stating that the statements she got were from non-business entities, and while interesting, they are not SMEs (SME = “Subject Matter Expert”). Had she started arguing that the points were fine even so, he could have said that they simply weren’t relevant and that he felt they should focus on the subject matter and not bring in opinions from groups that were not really meant to discuss business issues directly, whether those groups are “black” or not. As it is, he has just done something that was almost unthinkable 2 days ago: He has white supremacist groups sticking up for Barbara Boxer.

I resent Ms (call me senator please) Boxer claiming veteran status as moral high ground based on her husband’s service. Did she herself serve? Of course not, although she certainly could have…the military was hiring women when Boxer was of appropriate age. Californians still live with Bird’s rulings that have taken years to overturn by costly ballot initiatives. Boxer has voted to make similar mistakes in her position as Senator…and is about to make more costly mistakes with her votes.

Leverage is what enables a group to be taken seriously by both parties—which is what groups such as the Hispanics have. Both parties compete for the Hispanic vote, and it is raising the profile of the Hispanic-American population. Blacks need to do the same. Then, the ignoramuses like Sen. Boxer won’t take men such as Alford for granted.

Mr. Alford hit the nail on the head. His reaction made me PROUD to be an American. Great interview on Breitbart. Boxer? Arrogant, corrupt, racist, weasel. 1. Harry Alford’s little astroturf operation pulls a “study” out of their butt and claims that black Americans will suffer disproportionately from climate change legislation.

2. Senator Boxer responds that other (legitimate) representatives of black Americans hold the opposite view.

3. Alford tries to imply racist motivation to her criticism. I know, I know; step three should be “Profit!”

4. Assorted right-wing tub-thumpers feign indignation over the plight of their oppressed “brothers”.

To answer an earlier question as to why Boxer didn’t admonish Mr. Alford for not calling her “Senator,” yes, she is afraid of black men–as are all white liberals. That’s why when conservative commentators have the courage to stand up to racists who happen to be black, the white liberals try to portray that courage as prejudice. What they lack (courage) they try to paint as racisism. Can you say, “Puck, puck, paduck,” (the cry of a chicken), liberal whiteys?

If Harry Alford is going to be offended when someone quotes various specifically black groups against him, he shouldn’t have founded an organization called the National *Black* Chamber of Commerce that is dedicated to “economically empowering and sustaining *African American* communities.”

Obviously Alford and the NBCC take the position that they do on this energy issue because they believe their position is best for *blacks*. How silly would it be for Boxer (whom I can’t stand) to say to Harry Alford, “Actually, Mr. Alford, my plan is better for African Americans than yours is.” She’s not an African American.

So instead, she quoted a couple of other specifically African-American groups, one highly respected, to try to make the same point.

Alford wants it both ways. He wants to derive political power from his race, but he doesn’t want anyone to respond to his race. The Pew report is okay, but not the NAACP. What a joke.

Boxer didn’t bring race into the discussion. Alford did, by charing a group called the National Black Chamber of Commerce. If he wants color-neutral dialogue, he’s the head of the wrong group. He should try the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The reason that Boxer busted the General is that she thought that he was being condescending to her, i.e., “whatever you say,little lady”.
She didn’t react to Alford because she thought it was just natural and appropriate that a black man (let’s say a “negro”) should refer to her as
“Ma’m”, as in “Yahzzir” and “Yez’m” as all “good Negroes” did when she was a young girl growing up in the fifties. John – um, it would be nice if you would get some context and also actually listen and get the facts. He NEVER said he spoke for for all black people. He asked her if she was speaking for black people. The whole issue was that the conversation was supposed to be about energy and the facts he brought to the table, but Boxer did not want to talk about facts because they weren’t supporting her agenda, so she turned the conversation to race. That is the whole point of what he was objecting to.
He is a business leader who has given testimony for Congress for 13 yrs. His group went to the top researching firm in DC and ordered a study done on green jobs. He was bringing the study to congress and having it put in the record. Since the study did not support Boxer or the libs agenda, she started quoting all these black groups that do support her agenda. Groups that are not experts in the business world as this gentlemen and his group. She turned it racial because she was shocked and twerpt that a black man had the nerve to present evidence to congress that didn’t support the Dem/lib agenda.

Califorians that vote for Boxer are not necessarily stupid, they believe as she does. Democrats are masters at weakening opposition by pitting one group against another to strengthen their own power. It’s called, “let’s you and him fight”. The patronizing attitude that Boxer portrayed is not just towards blacks, it’s towards anyone who has a different political agenda. She is a political activist intent on destruction of the credibility of anyone not endorsing her political agenda. I’ve been intrigued by the fact that many people attack and blame California for the Dems sick agenda. I wonder how many of you know it is happening in your own state and don’t have a clue how to stop it. Californians have been fighting this beast for years. If they do manage to kill the multi-headed beast don’t expect that to save you from the same fate. You best get busy and kill it in your own state, if you can. I can see why Alford took it in a racial way because he has had those experiences. What is great about what he did is that he had the balls to name her game. Republicans didn’t do anybody any favors by refusing to call out Dems on their Machiavellian garbage.
