This President is weak. I’m getting sick of the state controlled media acting as if it isn’t so. This man is a shell.

Terry   October 25th, 2009 - 6:25 pm

She had to mention “Islamic Jihadists” while Jews like Madoff are destroying this nation from within in order to profit Israel.

robert m. simon   October 25th, 2009 - 6:30 pm

Ignorance is Charlie Gibson’s middle name….

txmike   October 25th, 2009 - 6:36 pm

During such difficult times it would be nice to have a President that was a leader and a uniter vice a wuss and a divider. Actually I would almost just settle for a President who was pro America. Democrats make horrible Presidents.

The ABC panel: four liberals against George W. and Laura – no balance there.

Clinger   October 25th, 2009 - 6:56 pm

John Podesta said a Fox producer said “We are the opposition” and this was not what what the press should be. Is that not the role of the Press? QUESTION, QUESTION, QUESTION, not be a cheerleader????

How noble for her to say she quit. She might have been a worthy tv newsperson years ago but she’s been awfully boring recently. I think she probably got canned.

CJ   October 25th, 2009 - 7:21 pm

Starting to wonder if Beck wasn’t right on this one again…all just a diversionary tactic to get us not paying attention to the healthcare knife coming from behind….

Directaction   October 25th, 2009 - 7:25 pm

Ingram is wrong. You can be certain the wiretaps, the “private” investigations and whispering campaigns funded by lackeys of the Cult of Obama at the behest of his administration have already begun. Expect investigative arm of the IRS to become a beehive of activity directed at anyone who opposes this regime. It won’t be long before the regulatory arm of the Federal State is used to attack and disable FNC and Talk Radio. The Department of Justice is, and has been, used to suppress the voting rights of potential opposition by action and intent, even at the local level.

This is how far-reacting the dictatorial ambitions in this Administration, and the Democratic Party, are. Totalitarian governments don’t achieve successful domination by belief, but by playing on the disbelief of their opponents, that it can’t happen here.

It’s already started.

Oracal   October 25th, 2009 - 7:37 pm

Contrary to popular belief Revolutions are never confined within the bounds of military action. Because its purpose is to destroy an existing society and its institutions and to replace them with a new structure, any revolution is a unity of constituent parts. In varying importance these parts are military, political, economic, social, and psychological.

Modern educated revolutionaries are aware that armed conflict rarely succeeds against established western governments or their political systems. Modern revolution usually seeks the preservation of the appearance of the status quo. Behind the scenes, its goals are the liquidation of the existing power structure and a transformation in the structure of society.

Modern revolutionaries know that our bourgeois American lifestyle is one marked by a concern for material interests, wealth and respectability. We have a tendency toward mediocrity and are dominated by commercial and recreational interests. We are not, as a society or as individuals, attuned to subtle changes in our daily lives that leads up to the revolutionary takeover. We (the “bourgeois”) accept what is fed to us by our media as fact, or at least factual in basis and are trained from a young age that we must respect and acknowledge the omnipotent wisdom of our government, its representitives, its laws and the revered system that supports it. The modern revolutionaries exploit these uniquely American behaviors as weaknesses.

The revolutionaries know that to control a large number of people, they need only to control the media and popular culture. Their target audience are persons in lower societal status. They appeal to the poor, the fringe, the outcasts and people with special agendas They declare themselves the champions of citizens that feel they are not treated fairly, or their concerns are not adequately addressed by the existing government. They promise wealth and prosperity, power and influence to persons that have had none in the past. Using the media and popular culure to disseminate propaganda that disparages those that disagree with them, they easily sway these disinfranchised persons to their cause. Throughout history, the goal of the revolutonary is to rally the “peasant class” and the fringe to their cause by demonizing the existing Status Quo as wrong thinking, dangerous or greedy.

As with other revolutions, once in power they forget the promises made to the persons that helped them gain power. The also find that they cannot promote the changes they desire within the boundries of the existing governmental structure. They must now face dissent from those that supported them to power and also from those that opposed them from the beginning. They find that to maintain power they must restrict the freedoms and rights of individuals who are demanding they are given what was promised to them. They begin to change and bend the laws of the existing government structure so they can implement their ideas. They find that to implement the changes they have promised they must quiet or ignore any and all opposition. In the end the only ones that actually prosper from the revolution are the ruling class and we, the poor citizenry, are back where we started only weaker as a nation and with fewer rights and liberties.

Shoot the kneecaps, give them cement overshoes, put a bullet in their heads… That’s the way the Obama administration takes care of anyone that disagrees with them. Why wouldn’t they?? Mao did, Lennin did, Chavez is, Pappa Doc and Baby Doc did, Castro does, Pol Pot did, Putin does etal, why not Obama the Marxist has many mentors that did.

Just what I would expected. [Boy, we stood by and told the WH to accept Fox. Now we can go back and be good lap dogs. Aren't we lucky to have "O" for president. It's really Buch's fault. What a bunch of crap.]

Obama and the rest of the U.N. loving people love this endless debate about health care!! why health care gets defeated, Cap & Trade will get slipppeed by…… AND GIVE UP OUR REAL SOVIERNTY

Deek   October 25th, 2009 - 8:54 pm

Is it really any surprise?

Check out the new article on the New World Government, Cap and Trade, Climate Change, and the loss of American freedom at http://twilightfalling.blogspot.com

What determines a state of emergency? Why does this need for national healthcare cause such despiration.
The funny thing is if you look at the numbers the balance of births to deaths have not changed.
This is an opportunity to fix our “national emergency” of over population, pollution, starvation, deforestation
now. How is it that cancer, aids, TB, car accidents , suicide, new flu H1n1, seasonal flu, smoking related deaths,
ETOH, drug abuse, gun shots, knife stabbings, motorcycle, ATV, boating ladder falls, stroke, all these deaths happen every day. How come all of a sudden everyone needs to be on some sort of
“healthcare plan”. What will change? will all of a sudden all deaths stop? We will all die someday not a real newsflash
The health care debate will not cure death. Their are homeless people who if were given shelter might not die.
we as this so called rich nation have forgotten the homeless who really want and need healthcare but not before
shelter and food. Lets fix the homeless problem first then move on to the bigger and better and popular healthcare issue.

Didn’t you hear what George Wills said? Brilliant.

“they (the liberals) are all for diversity and everything but thought!” ha ha ha

Also so what Kennedy canceled subscriptions . . . I’m sure Obama turns off FOX. Don’t watch, don’t read it. Great. But don’t attack, discredit and destroy anyone that disagrees with you.

Reagan 2012   October 25th, 2009 - 11:00 pm

Stacy,

I did hear that and couldn’t stop laughing. He is absolutely correct.

“Attack, dicredit and destroy” is a leftist tactic taken right out Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”. Rule #12: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” They are using this tactic on virtually everyone, who poses any danger to their agenda: Sarah Palin, Tea-Party protesters, 9/12 marchers, FOX News, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, etc.

snaggletoothie   October 26th, 2009 - 12:09 am

Ingraham says it could be coming that they will be pulling people’s tax returns. I think they already have with Joe the Plummer. But who else’s private records have they accessed?

RobbieK   October 26th, 2009 - 12:20 am

George Stephanopolous and John Podesta are weak little men. They are actually very sickening to listen to, much less look at.

Guy Average   October 26th, 2009 - 12:33 am

There is no question that the diversion from the issues with long-term gravitas is something that, top to bottom, The Left welcomes.

I have heard the term “Cold Civil War” used recently, and I agree that this describes the current situation quite well.

Think back to what things were like in regard to personal freedom and free enterprise just one year ago….

….now imagine what they will be like one year from now if they continue to go in the direction they are going, and at the current rate of CHANGE….

…and realize that we won’t even be at Election day 2010 in one year from now.

There is a lot of time left in the “Cold Civil War”.

banh   October 26th, 2009 - 2:48 am

It is wonderful that this administration is so blatantly trying to control and eliminate “dissent” from its agendas. It is wonderful to see a wanna-be dictator attempt to change the political and social profile of a country which was created for and based on freedom, individual sovereignty and private enterprise. It gives me a chill sometimes to witness heavy-handedness in Washington Obama/Chicago-style, because it is causing true freedom-mindedness to resurface from its long nap in America. We as Americans need a good kick from Marxism to raise us from the stupor we’ve been plodding along in. We need to get a “taste” of Marxist medicine to realize that we won’t accept it under any circumstances. Looking at that table of elitist journalists, on both sides, who will NOT be suffering as much as the “commoners” under Marxist government, it fills me with determination to put more of my day into ACTING on my own convictions, and to spend more time COMMUNICATING with those around me, in order to spread the word of preservation for our country’s Constitutional model. Elitists wear Red AND Blue.

Yes, but if they create ENOUGH CRISES, they just might “pull it off,” no matter how “enlightened” the hoi-polloi might become. EVERY AMERICAN must act NOW to head off such CRISES, by demanding of their legislators that there will be NO so-called “REFORMS” on any front! NO mandatory health-care reform! NO “cap & tax” reform! NO so-called “IMMIGRATION REFORM”! NO AMNESTY! On and on, every time they come up with their pie-in-the-sky REFORMS & “PROGRESSIVE” SCHEMES, *JUST SAY NO!*

Notice how Steffie just brushed Laura aside? It’s pathetic…totally.

FastFacts   October 26th, 2009 - 5:33 am

I think this was a fair Roundtable. Laura was great. She spoke the truth that the main stream media pushes these topics that were very important to the side. Look back at the ACORN scandal and you will see how Fox and the TV commentators were the first to cover and nothing was done in the main stream media until after Van Jones or ACORN was done for.

myron_monk   October 26th, 2009 - 8:48 am

Bravo, Laura! It’s about time for conservatives to “grow a spine” and throw the C-R-A-P back at the purveyors of fecal matter (aka the mainstream media). Call the media on their selective ignorance of real news that would hurt their favorite president since, well, Bill Clinton. The msm is in trouble and for good reason… they’ve hitched shamelessly onto the left, and no longer credibly pass as “unbiased”. Americans finally see what and who they are.

As for Mr. Gibson, a lackey of the left’s tattered grip on the news pipeline… mixing metaphors, but sooooo appropriate!

Jack Ryder   October 26th, 2009 - 8:59 am

I like Podesta’s fangs. Are they just for Halloween or does he keep them that sharp all year round ??? You think someone would have told him to have them grinded down along time ago… that it invokes images of Lucifer. He is a very scarey looking creature.

wade   October 26th, 2009 - 9:22 am

This was a typical roundtable for the MSM: Moderator is a previous Clinton flack who spent years lying to the press attempting to protect his party and sorry excuse for a president. Cynthia, a leftist just to the right of Fidel Castro who would lie, cheat and commit suicide before ever criticizing a liberal president. Podesta of the Obama and Soros financed Center for American Progress, a wild-eyed leftist organization who would never be heard with any criticism of Obama if it was established the administration was caught exceeding Nixon’s crimes. Hunt, a leftist who has never found anything Clinton or Obama did or will ever do that he would consider wrong. George Will, labeled as a conservative but a right down the middle fair guy who will call it like it is, regardless of party. And finally, the true conservative Laura Ingram, the “token” among the group who will be labeled as a liar (although they will never be able to give any examples)despite her radio program being monitored every day by Media Matters and other Soros financed groups.

Yes, George, YOUR SHOW is a prime example as to why FOX NEWS provides such a service to citizens.

wade   October 26th, 2009 - 9:35 am

Such a typical discussion on liberal network show. Notice how little Stephy boy can’t let Ingram get by with an critical comment without attempting to correct her or counter her argument. No rebuttle however on Tucker or Podesta comments.

Typical round table on ABC, NBC CBS or MSNBC:

Moderator Stephenopolous: Previous Democrat flack for Clinton who spent years lying to the press on a daily basis.

Cynthia Tucker: A Marxist just to the right of Fidel Castro who would rather cut her wrists rather than criticize any liberal

John Podesta: Head of Center for American Progress. He hired Van Jones when Obama had to boot him out of the White House after Beck exposed him as a Marxists radical revolutionist. Podesta also a Clinton flack who defended every criminal act the Clintons were caught doing. Now he is just a shill for Obama and will continue defending all unconstitutional acts we see in the Obama adminstration.

Al Hunt: Simply a leftist liberal who will defend anything Obama does.

George Will: (how he keeps his sanity being on this show week after week and has to be questioned when he agrees to stay on a show that hires a political flack to moderate it). Basically a down the middle gue who will criticize Republicans as quick as Democrats. A “fair and balanced” guy.

Laura Ingram: A true conservative who has criticized the Bush administration time and again for all eight years. She will be called a liar by the others but they will never be able to give you any examples. Her show is monitored by Media Matters hoping to discover any stretch of the truth so they can attempt to tar all talk radio but they never seem to come up with anything.

This round table is the best example as to the service FOX NEWS provides for the country and why Obama wants to see FOX go away.

Jim   October 26th, 2009 - 9:46 am

Gibson is a fool with bad breath.

rich wilcox   October 26th, 2009 - 10:47 am

two questions after watching this clip: 1) How many billions of dollars has GE, who owns NBC/MSNBC/CNBC, received and will receive from TARP, Health Care Reform, Cap and Trade, etc.? It was the MSNBC anchors who said, on inauguration day, that “we got him elected and now it’s our responsibility to make sure he succeeds.”
2) Why is Freedom of the Press constitutionally protected? Adoring coverage needs no protection.

Jerry M   October 26th, 2009 - 10:50 am

I can’t remember the last time I watched one of the Sunday morning talking head shows. This video just confirms that I have had no reason to waste my time listening to a superficial, dishonest treatment of the critical isues facing our nation by a bunch of pseudo journalists. Anyone with an IQ above 50 knows that Obama is trying to launch an all out offensive against those honest enough to criticize his policies, whether it be Fox News or the Chamber of Commerce. This is nothing less than an attack on freedom of the press and an abuse of power. Fox has been the only news outlet with the courage and journalistic integrity to stand up to the hugo Chavez like tactics of this White House.

Bush Knew!

Justin R   October 26th, 2009 - 4:18 pm

Love to read all of these comments…with all of the idiotic slogans I feel like I’m at a tea party!

Let’s be clear here, fox news is and has been a shill for GOP policies and candidates.

one tiny sample that speaks volumes

Fox’s founder and president, Roger Ailes, was for decades one of the savviest and most pugnacious Republican political operatives in Washington, a veteran of the Nixon and Reagan campaigns. Ailes is most famous for his role in crafting the elder Bush’s media strategy in the bruising 1988 presidential race.

bravo to the obama white house for exposing these exploitative sycophants.

JUST TURN HIM OFF...   October 27th, 2009 - 1:52 am

We’ve decided that every time we hear The Great O on TV, we will hit the MUTE or the OFF button! We are sick and tired of hearing that voice and seeing that face. We are convinced that this current Regime is trying to BRAINWASH and BEAT DOWN all of us Americans, and … it AIN’T GONNA WORK! We just wish these new-fangled digital televisions had a way to FILTER OUT TOTALLY any and all transmissions from THE ONE!!!
