Amid this circus since Michael Jackson’s death, you forget that he had three beautiful children who have lost their father. How sad, these poor babies. He really protected them and loved them. Their lives will never be the same.

In 1990, Jackson paid 2 million to a young boy in an out-of-court settlement. In 1993, he paid 23 million to another young boy. Jackson’s security guard testified that he saw Jackson performing oral sex on the boy. In 2005, Jackson lost a civil child molestation case and had to pay 20 million to a 3rd accuser. This funeral/memorial is really disgusting. If you listen to that irrelevant slob Al Sharpton, you’d think Jacko was the greatest thing since Christ. But let’s face it, Jackson is probably burning in hell right now.

My wife passed away from breast cancer in 1990 and my sons were 7 and 3. The reason the kids do not look like him is because they are not from
his sperm. He used a white man’s sperm that was artificially inseminated
and implated into his white wife. Biologically does not belong to either

I only watched a few minutes – work and all but the ceremony was quite “nice” I guess for a memorial. Let’s all be human, remembering that all of us are flawed, and let the family get over the death of a loved one as they see fit. I am sure that only reason it was on tv was because the clamoring public, obsessed by fame demanded it and wouldn’t be denied. Perhaps his daughter wanted to get up in front of an audience perhaps not but in either case, she was courageous enough to do so, good for her. Let here cry until her tears flow no more. It’s part of the process.

We will never all agree about the character of the man, that much is clear. Lets all understand, he wasn’t perfect, and neither are we. Boy did you say it like it is. Alot of good posts here for just what this is, and the commentary of why this even comes close to an equivalent death of Christ, speaks volumes of why we, as a pop world culture, are in no way healthy, mental or otherwise. At least for Mr. Jackson, who’s life and childhood ended long ago, his demons are behind him. Unfortunately, for his surviving adopted children, it is only beginning. How any of them can hope to go on and live a normal life, is out of the question, unless they were to be put in witness protection and their identities erased from the rest of the world. Otherwise, their lives will forever be marred by this very troubled human being, assuming they were never molested, which is a stretch at this point.

The daughter’s moment was THE most genuine and heartfelt of the entire event.
And to address those who are convinced Michael is a child molester,
there was a full trial and an acquittal, and if one wants to talk about expolitation of minors, just revisit both the accusers’ stories and note that the entire case was created for extortion being directed at Michael, by the parents, through pressured coaxing of their ‘victim’ kids.

As a student of music history, I am confident that in 200 years people will be studying Michael Jackson the way that we study Beethoven today. He is without question the greatest contributor to world culture that the United States of America has ever produced and he is truly immortal.

You probably don’t hate to say what you just said – many people are acting like raving wolves when it comes to MJ. And by all accounts, his children are perfectly normal, not “freaks”. He kept them sheltered from the vultures outside – and with good reason.

For just a minute, think about how you would feel if the same thing happened to you : You – Accused of a crime, charged, arrested, had your “day” in court, were found/judged to be “Not Guilty” but yet for years, you continued to be accused of being Guilty and Judged and ridiculed by many many ppl

Michael Jackson wrote some excellent music and was a world class performer. We only know what the media spins to us. He may have done things that were in question, but he also did some really unselfish things back when he had money. He gave tons of money to help kids all over the world. He brought sick kids to his “Neverland Ranch” to have fun. You can spin what you want from that, but I really think MJ had no childhood and spent his money trying to stay young and on building opportunities for kids to have fun.

My childhood was nonexistent. Now days I get more joy from seeing kids laughing and having fun than any money could buy. Each year I help hungry families with children, and I provide a 4X4 run just for kids. I sort of relate to MJ.

People steered MJ in the wrong directions and maybe they steered him wrong when they advised him to pay those kids off, maybe he was guilty. It is not the time or the place to hash all that out. It has already been hashed.

I think people need to stand up against the haters of the world! Let people be, and quit running them into the ground. Hate should be a crime.

Has it ever occurred to folks that maybe Paris wanted to defend her father now that he’s gone. She may only be 11 years old…but that’s old enough to know that a lot of people have said many bad things about her father. So she decided she wanted to defend him.

My uncle came back from the memorial today in tears. He was so distraught, he just handed me his program, wristband and ticket stub and told me to keep it someplace safe for him. Don’t know if there were ulterior motives in having the child speak at the service, but if there were, it probably was for the purpose of showing how LOVING the Jackson family is/will be toward those children, so that the ex-wife Debbie will look even worse in the upcoming custody battle.

Those poor children are going to be bandied about in a nasty custody fight right in the midst of their grief over losing the only parent they knew. We should all be praying for them.

Look- Though I am totally NOT an MJ fan, while watching all the sad hoopla on tv, it occurred to me that somehow, in some very deep way, this man’s life and his music have touched many, many millions of people around the world.

It has been said by some men far wiser than I, that the quality of a man’s life may be judged in large part by the number and quality of those who weep at his funeral.

So… I ask you, fellow skeptics- if YOU died tomorrow, how many would weep for your passing? How many would even notice you were dead?

In my opinion from watching the memorial, she wanted to say what she said. It did not appear “planned”. I was not a fan of MJ, I would most likely turn the station if his song came on…depending on which one it was. The people who say they are not “his kids” are wrong. I do believe he is the biological father, but even if he is not he was their dad. Even if someone else donated the sperm, do you really think that man cares about those children? MJ was the only father they knew. Blood or no blood. It takes more then blood to create a bond to make a family. There are plenty of “full blood” families out there that are at each others throats. I hope they let these kids grow up to have as normal a life as possible given their situation.

I think Michael Jackson was a pedophile addicted to painkillers, and an extremely talented man musically. He admits to liking to “sleep with children,” and seems to be a completely regressive personality (remember the interview where he said his favorite activity is “climbing trees?”). He lived in a place called “Neverland,” which had statues of children everywhere and doors that seemed to have incredible locks once you entered because he “liked his privacy”. I like my privacy too, but I don’t need multiple locks on my bedroom door.

Nonetheless, he did leave behind two children. Just like many, they don’t see the flaws in their parents, but likely loved him as he was. I feel badly for their loss, but in the end, it might just be for the better….unless they go to the rest of that wacky Jackson family. they are just a showcase of what abuse does. Janet who seems to have zero self-esteem, Latoya who I think worked for weird psychic hotlines (and was in some adult mags I think), Michael (speaks for itself), etc…

Talk about moral relativism. Was Michael Jackson a great entertainer? Yes. Did he change the face of pop music? Yes. Did he revolutionize the music video? Yes.

Now let’s get down to the real deal here. Even though Michael Jackson was acquitted of child molestation charges, it doesn’t change the FACT that he had some very disturbing ideas about expressing “love” to a child.

Let’s say your neighbor’s son invited your 13 year old son to a sleepover. The dad wanted your son to sleep in his bed with him. What would you do? Would you allow it? I would call the police so fast your head would spin. It is NOT normal for a grown man to want to sleep with a teenage boy. What if you learned that the neighbor gave your son wine? That is not only wrong, it is against the law.

Michael Jackson did all of these things, and it is a matter of public record. To laud this man as a great entertainer when he clearly had disturbing behavior towards teen boys is disgusting. He was a disturbed man who continued on a downward spiral. A normal, well-adjusted man does not have so many surgeries on his face that he looks like plastic. A normal man does not dangle an infant over a balcony with a blanket on his head so the pres can take pictures. A normal man doesn’t keep the kinds of drugs in his home that were found in Jackson’s at the time of his death.

This is not hate. This is a presentation of the FACTS. Mussolini made the trains in Italy run on time. He was a great orator. Does history look to him as a good man because of these things? NO. Michael Jackson had so much wrong with him, it outweighs the good. To worship this man the way the media has, and to exploit his death the way his family has is abominable. The guy needed professional help and instead had a bunch of sycophants and yes-men around him that kowtowed to him rather than getting him the real help he needed. It’s a shame to see this happen to anyone. It’s even more tragic when it happens to someone so talented.
