Amid this circus since Michael Jackson’s death, you forget that he had three beautiful children who have lost their father. How sad, these poor babies. He really protected them and loved them. Their lives will never be the same.

She clearly wanted to say something, and I think it was very brave of her. I’m sure she’d seen her father on stage, with a mic in hand a thousand times and it wasn’t foreign to her. I don’t think it was exploitive…I actually think it was great they let her do it. She’s not behind a mask any more and hopefully she can have a bit more of a normal life now.

Leave these kids alone, it’s already apparent they are going to be used and exploited just as their father was in his younger years. They are hostages, absolutely. In 1990, Jackson paid 2 million to a young boy in an out-of-court settlement. In 1993, he paid 23 million to another young boy. Jackson’s security guard testified that he saw Jackson performing oral sex on the boy. In 2005, Jackson lost a civil child molestation case and had to pay 20 million to a 3rd accuser. This funeral/memorial is really disgusting. If you listen to that irrelevant slob Al Sharpton, you’d think Jacko was the greatest thing since Christ. But let’s face it, Jackson is probably burning in hell right now.

The song he wrote with Lionel Richie (“We Are the World”) raised over $63 Million dollars for African famine victims alone.

It looked like she was forced to go up there and say something. Maybe not forced, but manipulated into it. She didn’t look comfortable up there, and the family was just all over her. They are a weird bunch. Poor kids.
Whether or not the kids are related to MJ biologically, he is the one who raised them therefore he’s their dad. End of story. Adopted kids aren’t related to their adoptive parents so does that mean that they can’t love them or be upset if they die? Plus, the mother or the two older kids is white. You were not there to orchestrate anything, so you do not know that she wasn’t the one saying, “I want to say something about my father.” She is 11, not 5, and clearly wanted to be up there to say something.

My wife passed away from breast cancer in 1990 and my sons were 7 and 3. My oldest wanted to speak..and I let him. as much as I think the tributes were WAY overdone…her moment of reality was touching and I don’t see her as being exploited. Janet could be clearly heard and seen asking the oldest if he wanted to say something and he said..no…. and that was that.

Could all the Jackson apologists explain one thing. The first boys who accused Jackson described Jackson’s genitals to the police. Because of his vitaligo – it often affects the pigment on the extremities – the boy described the size and distinctive shading on Jackson’s “parts.” A judge ordered Jackson to be photographed and the police photos matched up with the boy’s description. How does a young boy accurately describe a grown man’s genitals – distinctive shading and markings – unless he’s seen them. Jackson settled out of court shortly after the pictures were compared. The reason the kids do not look like him is because they are not from
his sperm. He used a white man’s sperm that was artificially inseminated
and implated into his white wife. Biologically does not belong to either

I only watched a few minutes – work and all but the ceremony was quite “nice” I guess for a memorial. Let’s all be human, remembering that all of us are flawed, and let the family get over the death of a loved one as they see fit. I am sure that only reason it was on tv was because the clamoring public, obsessed by fame demanded it and wouldn’t be denied. Perhaps his daughter wanted to get up in front of an audience perhaps not but in either case, she was courageous enough to do so, good for her. Let here cry until her tears flow no more. It’s part of the process.
We will never all agree about the character of the man, that much is clear. Lets all understand, he wasn’t perfect, and neither are we. Get over the differences and quit bashing on a family and a person who are not in a position to defend themselves against those who only know what they read or saw on tv or in the tabloids. Boy did you say it like it is. Alot of good posts here for just what this is, and the commentary of why this even comes close to an equivalent death of Christ, speaks volumes of why we, as a pop world culture, are in no way healthy, mental or otherwise. At least for Mr. Jackson, who’s life and childhood ended long ago, his demons are behind him. Unfortunately, for his surviving adopted children, it is only beginning. How any of them can hope to go on and live a normal life, is out of the question, unless they were to be put in witness protection and their identities erased from the rest of the world. Otherwise, their lives will forever be marred by this very troubled human being, assuming they were never molested, which is a stretch at this point.
The daughter’s moment was THE most genuine and heartfelt of the entire event.
And to address those who are convinced Michael is a child molester,
there was a full trial and an acquittal, and if one wants to talk about expolitation of minors, just revisit both the accusers’ stories and note that the entire case was created for extortion being directed at Michael, by the parents, through pressured coaxing of their ‘victim’ kids.

As a student of music history, I am confident that in 200 years people will be studying Michael Jackson the way that we study Beethoven today. He is without question the greatest contributor to world culture that the United States of America has ever produced and he is truly immortal.
There should be more attention given in the media to the CONSEQUENCES OF CHILD ABUSE and HOW IT TWISTS A CHILD WHO LATER GROWS INTO AN ADULT WHO IS VERY TORMENTED AND SEEMINGLY BIZARRE.

As a student of music history, I am confident that in 200 years people will be studying Michael Jackson the way that we study Beethoven today. He is without question the greatest contributor to world culture that the United States of America has ever produced and he is truly immortal.
