So, does that mean he does see redeeming features of HAMAS? Is he gonna meet with Hezbollah next? What an ignorant fool.
How did this idiot ever get elected (I was too young to vote). Oh yeah, probably by the same idiots who support Hussein Obama.
I don’t see any redeeming features of Jimmy Carter at all.
Accepting hamas terrorist scum without them recognizing Israel and renouncing terror, is not an option. The should be shunned and destroyed.
Well, I’m glad to know that former President JimBo Carter has a minimum requirement when meeting with terrorists.
Just remember folks we are still paying for this guy… and his security detail.
PMD, for the US, violence has always been the choice.
That’s how we got the country in the first place and kept it and enlarged it We fought off the Indians, we fought off the British, we fought off the Spanish and the Mexicans. We whupped the Catholic immigrants in 1844 when they got too uppity and the Irish immigrants when they acted up a few years later. Not to mention the Chinese workers and the African Americans — slaves and ex-slaves alike. We kept them in their place for the welfare of the entire country, although it was hard on those particular folks. Just collateral damage.
We whupped ‘em in the Phillipines in 1898 and got the Phillipines, Puerto Rico and Guam. Then in the 20th Century we really got busy: Panama, Nicaragua, Haiti, Cuba, Guatemala, Dominican Republic — the list goes on. Sure we lost some of that but mostly because we let it go when we had gotten what we needed. The Lord helps him who helps himself. Thank you Lord.
All this has made us the best, strongest, richest country on the planet, led by the smartest, most articulate, caring and dedicated President the world has ever known.
Just to be fair – there really are two options when dealing with Palestine’s elected government of Hamas.
1) You can break off all forms of diplomacy and focus solely on killing them.
2) You can talk to them and try to make some progress towards peace.
Jimmy Carter believes option 2 is a better option. That may make him wrong in many people’s minds but neither option is really all that great.
The consensus by most in the United States is that violence is a better way to go.
“How did this idiot ever get elected (I was too young to vote). Oh yeah, probably by the same idiots who support Hussein Obama.”
Texan if I remember correctly Carter ran on a platform of change in DC similar to how Obama is herding in the sheep now using the same empty promises of” Change”. History is repeating itself but with a much more dangerous candidate this time.
Go to hell you terrorist loving moron.
Adam Jones, with all due respect, thats a fair and concise recitation of some of our USA history, however you do present that history in a very simplistic and one demensional fasion, thereby building a false premise. It’s not that “for the US, violence has always been the choice,” as you say. It would be more accurate to say that for the national interests of the USA those rescources and means to achieve a standard of living and freedom sometimes had to be either obtained by force or defended by the same means. It’s not that we automatically made the choice to use violence, it’s that we occasionally found that violence was the most sure and productive method that allowed us to defend our allies and maintain our sovereign rights.
[...] Jimmy Carter says that while he will talk with an organization that launches attacks against unarmed civilians and is listed as a group responsible for terrorist attacks by most western countries, Hamas, he doesn’t ”see any redeeming features” of another terrorist organization, Al Qaeda. http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=81983 [...]

So as long as evil is recognized by their own people that makes them ok?
What a naive, idiotic man.
