He forgot to mention she was a city council member and then the Mayor before she became a Governor.
17 years of executive experience, with an amazing list of accomplishments.

Dan Collins   November 25th, 2009 - 7:30 am

Oh, Huckster, you are pathetic.

therightscoop   November 25th, 2009 - 8:34 am

Dude, you guys have heard Hucakbee wrong. He said that she is nothing like the portrayal that she is near incompetence. He was PRAISING her, not diminishing her.

Greg Klug   November 25th, 2009 - 8:38 am

“He, who hath not sold 700,000 books, shall cast the first stone…..”

Huckabee is a loser from the start of this race….and he now knows it.

happy   November 25th, 2009 - 8:43 am

I remember round table discussions on pbs about Reagan. The news editors would sit around a table and tsk tsk Reagan the whole time.

Where are they now?

I don’t remember their names or what they look like.

Dave   November 25th, 2009 - 8:54 am

It’s funny watching leftwing nuts attempt to denigrate someone on the right by trying to imply that they’re stupid.
Remember how Dr William Shockly was lauded as a genius(and he was)for inventing the transistor?,well right afterwards he went into how genes are the biggest determining factor regarding IQ and that the races were clearly different as groups.
All of a sudden “he’s an idiot” by the lefties.
hahahaha!

doogle   November 25th, 2009 - 9:02 am

Why does ANYONE give this trollop, Catty Kouric ANY face time?

Going on “opposition” talk shows and not fully supporting GOP party members is a sure way to show that the GOP is still broken.

The GOP will never be a success again unless they pull together and start supporting each other. Could be why a lot of folks are moving to Independent. Ya think?

Airwick   November 25th, 2009 - 9:33 am

This is great! And Huckabee has it exactly right. Sarah Palin is not a complete boob…just a partial one. Being mayor of a hick town doesn’t qualify her to be anything nationally and she quit when she was governor. Do you really want her to be President?

Puleeessse!

Romney/Pawlenty 2012

K   November 25th, 2009 - 9:34 am

At about 0:54 Huckabee seems to wave toward Couric while mentioning that Sarah Palin is not what she’s been portrayed as, i.e., lacking in intellectual capacity, etc.

Palin/Huckabee wouldn’t be a bad ticket.

Paul Thompson   November 25th, 2009 - 9:45 am

Romney is what is wrong with the Republicans…
I wish he’d just drop out.

Personally, I’ll never vote for him, one because
of how the Mormons stole Howard Hughes empire,
and now are using that money to push Romney.

Two, because running Staples doesn’t make him
a business genius.

Three, he is all about himself, and won’t do
what’s good for America. Huckabee is the best
candidate and Romney needs to get over it and
support him.

Airwick   November 25th, 2009 - 9:50 am

K,
ANYTHING with Palin on it is a bad ticket. If you want to lose the next election then by all means include her. The GOP deserves to lose if they can’t find anyone better than her and there are plenty of good Republicans from whom they can choose instead.

SubjectofUSSA   November 25th, 2009 - 10:04 am

Huckabee needs to go away. Huckabee and his bible have about as much a chance as getting elected President as I do.

Paul Thompson   November 25th, 2009 - 10:11 am

You’re a useless bigot USSA,

Every President of this country has sworn their oath of office
on a Bible.

pro palin   November 25th, 2009 - 10:20 am

funny how palin has no friends and she only put the oil business together and sent the bad boys to court. She was city official, mayor then governor. She sold the jet, fired the cook, raised her kids loves her husband supports her son in the military and Yet it is not enough for even for a good christian man. I think they are not following their GOD they are following their fear of the good old boys in Washington.

Dave November 25th, 2009 – 8:54 am

It’s funny watching leftwing nuts attempt to denigrate someone on the right by trying to imply that they’re stupid.
Remember how Dr William Shockly was lauded as a genius(and he was)for inventing the transistor?,well right afterwards he went into how genes are the biggest determining factor regarding IQ and that the races were clearly different as groups.

You forgot to add the fact that along with John Bardeen and Walter Houser Brattain, Shockley co-invented the transistor, for which all three were awarded the 1956 Nobel Prize in Physics.

He was also a paranoid nut case. He suspected that members of his staff were purposely trying to undermine his projects and prohibited them from access to some of the work.

The final straw came when he decided the entire laboratory staff should undergo polygraph tests to determine who was responsible for a minor injury experienced by one of the office workers.

He became interested in the origins of human intelligence. Although he had no formal training in genetics or psychology, he began to formulate a theory of what he called dysgenics. Using data from the U.S. Army’s crude pre-induction IQ tests, he concluded that Blacks were inherently less intelligent than whites— an analysis that stirred wide controversy among laymen and experts in the field alike. But you hold on to that white power thinking if it makes you feel better.

Huckabee must have forgotten that he said and I quote “Now I must say I did not think that either the Charlie Gibson interview or the Katie Couric interviews were unfair,” Huckabee said. “In fact, if anything, Katie Couric was extraordinarily gentle, even helpful. [Palin] just … I don’t know what happened. I can’t explain it. It was not a good interview. I’m being charitable.”

There has been so much information about Palin in the news. Most since the election. Of course that is because her book is out and many support her and many want to destroy her.

NOTE: Did you read that her polls are starting to come back up. They are almost to the level of Obama. Palin is at 44-46% and Obama is coming down at 47-49%. Soon they will meet in the middle. But right now Romney is the only one in the polls that is currently beating Obama in a one to one race, Huckabee is the next closest. Huckabee is the most liked among Republicans at a Conservative Convention, but just beating Romney. Palin is right there after both, staying very close and that is with all of her opposition and remember her polls are just starting to come back. So this will be an interesting race for 2012.

SubjectofUSSA   November 25th, 2009 - 10:31 am

Bigot, please. Swearing on a bible, and being a bible thumper are two different things. Huckabee and the religious right are not going to retake the White House after freaking Bush.

SubjectofUSSA   November 25th, 2009 - 10:34 am

And such a good Christian your current President has turned out to be. Tell me, how many times has your Christian Obama gone to church since he was in DC? And not since he was President… since he was Senator. That good Catholic Obama couldn’t even be bothered to find a church in his 2 years there as Senator.

Yes, he is a good Christians President, aren’t you glad he got sworn in on your bible.

So again, what does taking the oath on the bible mean? Nothing.

NEOFREEDOM   November 25th, 2009 - 10:36 am

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES,AMERICA ! Mike don’t quit your day job. It is time to start a third wave the NEW FREEDOM PATRIOT PART( NFPP ) with Sarah Palin at the head the line. I will donate the first 100 Dollars, and I’am sure their are 80 million more of us out there.

Sean R.   November 25th, 2009 - 10:38 am

Guys, you all know that I’m not a fan nor I’m not a hater of Sarah Palin, but if she ran
against Obama today, more likely she’ll beat Obama. On the other hand, if the GOP hand
picks Palin, then it’ll be another four years of Obama, and the Republicans can change
their symbol from the elephant to the “mammoth” (the mammoth is a over-size large extinct
elephant with two large sabre-teeth), and I don’t think that Sarah Palin is going to be
the person on white horse for 2012, right now I have no idea who’s going to be the man
on the white horse to save this country. Only the good lord himself can save America,
not the damn government!

Ha! The whole bunch of you Jesus freaks are batcrap crazy!

H2K   November 25th, 2009 - 10:57 am

I would not support Huckabee on a republican primary. There are others much better including Palin, Romney, Thompson, Pawlenty, and even the liberal Giuliani. If Huckabee ran against Obama, I’d have to support him.

Huckabee was the one who forced Romney to resign from the primary. He split the conservative republican vote and McCain became the winner. I think Huck thought that McCain would run Huck as VP. Ha! Huck should have had enough political sense to realize what was happening – and therefore, we ended up with Obama.

Don’t you think Romney as president would have assembled a better capitalist-focused economic team than the Marxist Obama? I thank Huckabee for that.

Huck, get lost. Maybe you should turn to professional bass playing as your next job.

EEuro   November 25th, 2009 - 10:59 am

Americans are so brainwashed that they will reelect Obama and right now the democrats are searching for their next candidate in Uganda, Congo, Mexico and the ME.

Paul Thompson   November 25th, 2009 - 11:05 am

H2K,

Romney did what you blame Huckabee of….
and this arguing between their supporters is
going to be harmful.

Tim   November 25th, 2009 - 11:22 am

Hey Airwick, I bet Katie feels the same way you do, anyone but Palin…lol, Katie might even donate to Huck or Romney. In fact I’m sure if she runs in the primary’s against Huck and Romney you know who the Main Stream media will support and it surely won’t be Palin.

You sound scared again there Airwick. Do you hear her footsteps.

Matt   November 25th, 2009 - 11:32 am

Hilarious. Katie spouts stats from 2 extremely biased polls the CBS News poll and the CNN poll. Of course Couric wouldn’t use results from any non-biased polls. The left is just plain pathetic and built to stay that way.

H2K   November 25th, 2009 - 11:36 am

Paul Thompson
I’m not arguing, my brother. I may disagree with you, but I think we’re both on the same team. Huckabee was 3rd in the race. He never would have won whether Romeny was on it or not. Polls at the time showed Huck’s supporters would have gone to Romney….but Huck stayed in long enough to wear Romney down.

If Huck was #2 instead of #3 in the standing, I probably would have agreed with you.

My feeling is that Huck should have backed out which gave the Republicans a weak quasi-liberal candidate in McCain. Of course it didn’t help that the RNC rules allowed democrats to vote in the primary!

jason   November 25th, 2009 - 11:38 am

Romney? HA!
The dummocrats will chew his butt. All they have to do is bring up Romney Care.

Our next President will be GOP   November 25th, 2009 - 11:54 am

Well folks, in a little over a week, the 2010 elections happen. My friends and I, a group of smart Engineers and Political Science majors have done our own analysis, which is really fun and totally independent and not “weighted”, like the Quinnipiac poll. We survey 33% GOP, 33% Dem, and 33% Independent “Likely” voters. We ask Independents how they “lean” and then balance out their group (most lean Republican, so it is hard to find a Democrat leaning Independent). The results will amaze you. Our Presidential poll shows Obama with a 42% approval rating as of today. We show well over 100 total seats in Congress & the Senate combined flipping for the GOP in 2010 (Dick Morris predicts this also). Congress & the Senate changes hands back to the GOP by a wide margin and 12 Senate seats (bordering on 14) are lost by the Democrats. As far as our Presidential 2012 poll, Obama loses to any GOP candidate that would run against him, with Obama taking a mere 37% of the vote. We continue our data crunching every week, and with current trends, the 2012 Presidential election will be a landslide win for the GOP candidate. Right now, we show Huckabee #1, Mitt Romney #2, and Sarah Palin running a very, very close 3rd to Romney.

Jeremy   November 25th, 2009 - 11:54 am

Mike   November 25th, 2009 - 12:55 pm

People need to watch the video before they start trouncing on Huck. He was actually defending Palin and was countering the perception by the lame stream media of Palin not being qualified or smart enough to be President. Since I am rather certain Mike Huckabee will run for President in 2012 he will most likely change his tune about Palin once he enters the race and goes on the campaign trail. That is of course, if Palin also enters the 2012 Presidential race herself. While I think Palin will probably show more class and be more respectful to opposing candidates on the campaign trail we won’t know for certain until the race begins and she’s in it. The only real hesitancy I have about Huckabee is his tenacious propensity to raise taxes like he did in Arkansas. While he says he’s a conservative some of his principles convey otherwise in my opinion. If it was down to Palin and Huck I would probably go for Palin because she portrays herself like an open book and she is a “true” conservative, and she has a tremendous amount of common sense and the needed drive and ability to get things done, and to get them done quickly. Which we’ll need after Obama and his hucksters get done trashing our Country and running it into the ground and toward the brink of bankruptcy by the time the next elections arrive.

God I hate Republicans. They care nothing about the people of this country. They care ONLY about power. Huckabee would vote for any lunatic, as long as it’s a Republican lunatic.

whosebone   November 25th, 2009 - 2:45 pm

It’s hilarious watching perky katie and the rest of the whacko hate mongers on the left panic everytime Sarah says anything! Sarah is a huge force in American politics and has the grounded beliefs in true conservatism that Ronald Reagan did. Thats why the left is attempting to smear her at every turn, but the American people are now realizing the absolute empty suit this current president is and will wash away this illegal administration with a conservative tsunami soon…..have a nice day katie….hehehe

Airwick   November 25th, 2009 - 3:10 pm

Huckabee’s comment that Palin is not “completely lacking of any intellectual capacity” is quite accurate. I have seen comments about what a high IQ she has and how “bright” she is, yet when she opens her mouth, her brain betrays her. IO is a measure of your ABILITY to learn, not an indicator of any knowledge that you may have accrued. The biggest and most damaging criticism of Palin I have seen is that she is not “intellectually curious” or, in other words, doesn’t care to learn anything beyond what is in her Bible. She clearly lacks any significant knowledge of current events, history, geography, science, law, or any other pertinent topic that you can mention. What is worse is that she doesn’t seem to care. “People were asking me ‘gotcha’ questions” is a pretty lame excuse, especially if you should have been able to answer them. If she is serious about running for the Big Job, maybe she should stop writing books…and start reading them!

And, Tim, you are right…I am afraid of her. If she gets the nomination, then she will be the GOP’s equivalent of George McGovern. And we all know what happened to him!

Really??   November 25th, 2009 - 4:05 pm

I must have watched a different video than did most of you people here. Huckabee tells it just like it is. He speaks the truth to the subject and doesn’t expel nicities as in what you WANT to hear. And that goes for the “so-called” conservatives spouting off here. Huckabee left the Governership of AR with a budget surplus of over 700 mil dollars. Does that sound like a spending liberal to you? I can answer that..NOPE!! Huckabee does not and will not impose “The Bible” on the American People as you loons like to portray him. And as for Palin…I will never vote for a quitter….sorry. She lost me. And for Romney…will never vote for him either. He is a liberal in conservative clothing. And boy does he think alot of himself. It amazes me how people just won’t open their eyes and see Huckabee for what he “Really” is….A man of character, integrity and intelligence who can communicate his ideas better than anyone on the stage today. Don’t matter what lies others say about him…I will support him win or lose. I have voted for the Rep candidate for the last 20 years….but that day is over. DC needs a complete overhaul and Term Limits.
The other reason Huckabee gets my vote is because of his suppport fot the FAIRTAX.

I would love to see Romney win the presidency in 2012. His first act as president should be the appointment of Sarah Palin as SECRETARY OF ENERGY. Talk about “drill baby drill?” The U.S. would be energy independent in one term. When Romney serves his 2 terms, then we can elect Sarah Palin……..brilliant woman that she is!!!!

fulljump   November 25th, 2009 - 4:54 pm

What a big rino huckabee is… he treats Huffington and other Dem’s better then he treats Palin. The Cuda will be around for a long time. Reagan was not a genius either he stuck to his core principals he stuck to his guns and never wavered. But he was not the highest IQ in the room. Reagan knew when to smile and point out what was right and what was wrong like mega wisdom… it is easy when you have core principals. Cuda can do the same because her core can not be shaken if she can write speeches as good as Reagan then she will be unstoppable..

Laffing   November 25th, 2009 - 5:50 pm

Airwick the know-nothing speaks but nothing smart ever comes out.

Airwick   November 25th, 2009 - 6:07 pm

Ah, kmichaels, I was starting to wonder when you would add your stupid comments to the discussion. How about posting in some else’s name again? That is about all your little mind can handle.

By the way, idiot-boy, you never did answer my question from a previous posting. Hopefully you found someone who could read it for you and explain it, so here it is again. Who would you rather have in the White House…Romney/Pawlenty or Obama/Biden? Concentrate very hard and see if you can come up with an answer.

Tim   November 25th, 2009 - 6:22 pm

Hey Airwick, come on man quit pretending you care about the republican party and who’s picked to run against Obama…you dislike Palin for the same reason Katie dislikes her.
Again Airwick you’re not fooling anyone here. Your hatred towards Palin is obvious to everyone. At least some people are upfront about it but you hide behind this facade because you’re afraid to be exposed of your stupid hatred for a good woman.

anne can   November 25th, 2009 - 7:30 pm

Really??   November 25th, 2009 - 8:14 pm

If we the true conservatives do not come together putting our differences aside, extinction of the Republican Party will be the best to hope for. At this point though, we might be beyond hope by the time we elect a TRUE CONSERVATIVE to the Presidency. Too many different people and too many different opinions that it really makes me nausea. Everyone thinks they have the answer. If you don’t believe it just ask one of the posters here on this site. Wow….how will we ever come together if we are so far apart? Too bad that people don’t understand true conservatism and leadership when they see it.
Huckabee/Pawlente 2012

Airwick   November 25th, 2009 - 10:56 pm

Really??
You got it right. But as long as there are people like kmichaels and Tim, the GOP is in trouble. For Republicans to win they have to have a bigger tent. Excluding everyone that does not share their narrow version of the way things should be is a recipe for disaster. The fact is that Palin is a loser for a national ticket. Most Independents and a lot of Republicans (Rhinos to them) will not vote for her. You are not going to win without us. I would support a Huckabee/Pawlenty ticket but would vote against any combination including Palin. She has a lot of learning to do and right now does not seem to have the slightest intention of doing so.

So keep up the insults, kmichaels, and see how far you get!

chukmaty   November 25th, 2009 - 11:06 pm

He defended Palin, he honestly could cll her the second coming of Ronald Reagan and republicans would criticize him.

Who cares, Huckabee was not really slowed down by silly criticism, everyone knows what they see on the debate stage when he speaks, he has real talent and that will win votes from a lot of people if he runs again. I like Palin too, I am glad Huckabee stood up for her.

Tim   November 26th, 2009 - 12:16 am

Airwick, so you’d vote for Obama over Palin…lol…we can see which side you’re on now. Give it up Airwick and man up, we know you’re a lefty all the way. Fact is you’ll vote for Obama no matter who he runs against. Tell me Airwick why are you so afraid of her…so much so you’d vote for Obama over her.

Even old Huck said he’d vote for her over Obama.

Black Bart   November 26th, 2009 - 12:57 am

I’d like to give Katie Couric a facial.

Airwick   November 26th, 2009 - 12:52 pm

Tim,
I’ll take a smart liberal in the White House over a dumb Conservative any day. Smart will always trump dumb. Not only do I think that Palin is incapable of running the country, more importantly, I don’t think that she is capable of putting together a team of advisors that would help her do it. She is, quite simply, in way over her head. She reached her level of incompetence when she was mayor of Wasilla and couldn’t even handle the job as governor of Alaska. How do you expect her to serve as president of the most powerful country in the World?

Now give me a smart Conservative…then I’ll support your ticket!

Tim   November 26th, 2009 - 1:57 pm

Airwick, you’re still hiding, you really think you’re fooling anybody. You wouldn’t vote for a conservative if it was the last day of your life.

Obama a “Smart Liberal”..lol..with absolutely no common sense, totally out of touch with this country and it’s people, can’t make tough decisions, makes decisions based on Politics, deranged view of this country in the process of destroying it..Can’t even read a teleprompter, and so on and so on. You call that smart…lol

Palin dumb conservative…lol…She has common sense, she’s in touch with this country and it’s people, makes decisions based on what’s best for the country. She can wing it when the teleprompter fails. I want to know Airwick when she ran alaska where are you finding this so called “dumb” decisions she made? And even now what is she saying policy wise that is so “dumb”…..please tell me.

No Airwick you can’t defend your man Obama by marginalizing Palin because comparing the 2 you know yourself Palin will win every time.

With every post Airwick you’re being exposed…you soooo hate her you sound sooo desperate. It must be because she’s gaining more and more support each day while your man is losing more each day. Stings don’t it.

Airwick   November 26th, 2009 - 11:12 pm

Tim,
Sorry to disappoint you, but I voted for “W” once (not the second time because of Iraq), Dole, George H. W. Bush, Ronnie (twice), Ford, and Nixon. I still think that Nixon was one of our better presidents even though he became a little paranoid and went over the line with Watergate. Nixon was probably more responsible than Reagan for bringing down the Iron Curtain when he opened relations with China and essentially ended the Bamboo Curtain. I would vote for “Tricky Dick” again even with his flaws. A true Republican and Conservative should be very afraid of Palin. She is an incompetent with a huge ego and that makes her dangerous. You say that she makes “decisions based on what’s best for the country”? Really? What decisions has she made of any consequence other than quitting the governorship prematurely? As I mentioned earlier, I consider Palin to be the conservative equivalent of George McGovern. The Liberals pushed him for ideological reasons and he got crushed as a result. Palin needs more than the loud, conservative base to get elected to higher office; she needs moderate Republicans and Independents as well. Right now she has neither group and her negative numbers with them are far higher than her positive ones. She simply cannot win and nominating her will essentially guarantee another four years of Obama/Biden. If you want to “stick to your principles” and push her anyway, then you have to face the consequences.

My suggestion is to find another ticket that can beat Obama. Any combination of Romney, Pawlenty, Crist, Huckabee, and someone like Condi Rice or Elizabeth Dole has a real chance, especially if the economy does not recover by then. Palin can raise money and energize the base but anything else would be a disaster for the GOP. There are a lot of Republicans who feel this way and we are not all “libs” or Rhinos.

I would like to add that most of the Liberals that I know absolutely love Palin and anxiously await her latest gaffe. Every time her name comes up they chortle and laugh. That is a strange kind of fear. Maybe the Republicans are the ones who should be afraid instead.

Tim   November 27th, 2009 - 12:02 am

Airwick, first you say you’d vote for Obama over Palin…Now your excuse is she can’t win if she runs against Obama. And you’re giving tips on how the GOP can win. Sorry Airwick your logic doesn’t make sense.

And you said, “A true Republican and Conservative should be very afraid of Palin. She is an incompetent with a huge ego and that makes her dangerous”. Please Airwick explain why she is incompetent and dangerous.

Oh and I suppose these moderate Republicans and independents you speak of wouldn’t vote for her over Obama…lol…give me a break Airwick.

I suggest you read her book because it’s apparent you know absolutely nothing about her. But that just might drive you crazy because you’d see how awesome she was and her views and accomplishments. And you haven’t answered my question on why her policy’s and decisions in Alaska, and her policy’s now are so “stupid”.

Let me suggest something to you…If you care about this country like you act like you do (some of the time, other times not)get behind her like many Americans are starting to. Because in 3 years you’ll look pretty stupid bashing her while your man Obama has become the new Carter but much worse.

I know Airwick you’re so concerned about the GOP….lol…what a Joke.

mark   November 27th, 2009 - 5:06 am

I don’t envy conservatives picking from your leading choices…it’s like which ugly stupid doberman puppy in the litter would lose to Obama LESS.

I think Huckabee is a phony and an opportunist..should never run for pres again…Romney is one of the good old boys..not in touch with the common man! Sarah has more experience in her little finger than Obama has in his whole body …And she feels comfortable shopping at the salvation army & Walmart she is in touch with us common folk.

Tim,
The reason that I think that Palin is incompetent is because she has yet to demonstrate any competence in a wide variety of subjects. I get the distinct feeling that she doesn’t know much about anything and, as I mentioned earlier, what’s worse is that she doesn’t seem to care. This is all about her and her huge ego. She actually thinks that she is good enough right now and THAT is what makes her dangerous. She is may be good enough to get the nomination, but will never win the big one. Your comment, “Oh and I suppose these moderate Republicans and independents you speak of wouldn’t vote for her over Obama…lol…give me a break Airwick”, is appropriate…because that is exactly what just happened. We certainly didn’t vote against McCain; he was collateral damage.

I voted for Obama over a ticket including her because I thought that I could stomach four years of him over the POSSIBILITY of ANY years of her.

Airwick, you are what you are, a hired pen, paid by stimulus funds. A fool who plans the advocate, who is the clown behind his own blogs.

poetopoet,
Why is it that when someone posts an opinion different from yours he/she is a “hired pen”? I get my pay from the lab in which I work. Who pays you to post on this site? You seem to know a lot about that sort of thing. If someone is paying you, they certainly are not getting much for their money!
