We see in Mr. Dean the complete disconnect that exists in our elected officials. I was saying this the other day when the Dims released that campaign ad showing that this would be their strategy. When asked who they identify with more, the Democrats, Republicans, or Tea Party, the plurality of Americans say Tea Party. They think that equating the Tea Party with Republicans will scare them into the Democrat camp; I think equating the Tea Party with Republicans tells the Tea Partiers that the Republican candidate is the only one to vote for. Seems like a losing strategy to me, though I guess this explains why the Democrats are getting "Tea Party" put on the ballot in several states, hoping to siphon votes off of the Republicans. They might get a few, but the Tea Partiers I know understand that the Tea Party is not a political party, but a political philosophy. They also understand the best path to victory is by taking over one of the major parties, not by starting a new one, and 18 months of Oblahblah and a Dem Congress supermajority have made it pretty clear which of the two big parties is more receptive to their demands.
What Dean meant "Democrats don't win unless we get out the illegal, dead and felon vote".
