Howard Dean: GOP Won in MA Because Obama Not Liberal Enough

"This is not, contrary to what alot American pundits are talking about, this is not a revolt of the right, this is Barack Obama's core base not thinking what we've done what he's ask to do."

Where’s the waitress? This man’s Kool-Aid is almost empty!

katy   January 24th, 2010 - 1:50 pm

That’s right Howard.. Yes! That’s it!

Keep this up. Good analysis.

The more the lefty loons spew this bilge the farther right the country will go…

Insanity… Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

ed357   January 24th, 2010 - 1:51 pm

OH $HIT……

PLEASE OBAMA……

PLEASE……PLEASE……PLEASE……

MOVE FURTHER LEFT.

The Liberal Mind   January 24th, 2010 - 1:52 pm

Your absolutely right Mr. Dean! He is not a Liberal at all! He is a Socialist/Marxist. Nothing he is doing furthers the Liberal agenda. What it does do is further the cause of Black Nationalist Socialism by creating a redistribution of wealth to provide reparations to poor and minority citizens. That ain’t Liberalism Pal! That is Socialism/Marxism.

jp2feminist   January 24th, 2010 - 1:54 pm

Keep talking, Howard!

Anti Stupid   January 24th, 2010 - 1:58 pm

only someone as dumb as dean could say this with a straight face

beavis-n-BH   January 24th, 2010 - 2:02 pm

WOW ! Howard must be taking too many meds !

middleclass   January 24th, 2010 - 2:13 pm

Would anyone in their right mind go to this Kook of a doctor? How did he get through med school?

jujubee   January 24th, 2010 - 2:14 pm

His tie is tied way too tight…he’s asphyxiating himself as he unsuccessfully tries to dig himself back from oblivion.

He’s so truly clueless. It like that stereotypical boyfriend or girlfriend who holds on so tight, they end up losing that which they are trying to hold onto.

Liberalism does not work…it never has…it never will. It’s the destroyer of Nations and Empires.

rulisteningnow   January 24th, 2010 - 2:16 pm

OMG! Obama is making himself a joke. If voters had known that the Soros hand puppets we doing to undermine the country for the sake of an election (Obama was in the Senate) the winds would have blown these traitors out of office. These robbers, looters, liars have held the majority in Congress since the 2006 elections!

I just had to share the joy of knowing the pathetic poser president is
under attack from his own progressive (code word for communists) for
not destroying America fast enough!

Leftwing Professor Writes Hilarious Essay About ‘Conan Obama’
By P.J. Gladnick (Bio | Archive)

It is no suprise that conservatives have been highly critical of
Barack Obama. However, a new development has set in recently: leftwing
disgust with The One especially since it now appears that ObamaCare is
DOA. And perhaps the absolute funniest of the leftwing critiques of
Obama comes from the pen of David Michael Green, a professor of
political science at Hofstra University in New York.

Here is just one nugget of pure comedy gold that Green wrote in his
latest essay at CommonDreams.Org:

Another great trick for crashing a presidency is to pick all the wrong
priorities to ‘fight’ for. Imagine, for example, if FDR had
substituted for his ‘Day of Infamy’ speech right after Pearl Harbor a
ringing call for an American revolution in cobbler technology! Yes,
that’s right, in response to the devastating surprise attack by the
armed forces of the Empire of Japan, what if the president urgently
called upon us all to start making really amazing shoes?! Before it’s
too late, and we all get blisters on our feet! Similarly, Mr. Obama,
your spending the last year on (jive) health care and jetting around
the world dipping your toes into foreign policy problems while
Americans are losing their jobs and their houses is a fine way to kill
your presidency. Guaranteed to work every time.

And if you should doubt Green’s leftwing bonafides, there is this:

It’s the same party that stood by silently while two presidential
elections in a row were stolen away from them.

His leftwing fantasies about stolen elections (even 2004?) aside,
Green provides some of the most hilarious critiques of Obama yet seen
in print in How to Squander the Presidency in One Year. Sometimes
great comedy is spurred on by great anger and here is the source of
the liberal professor’s disgust with Obama:

Barack Obama has now, in just a year’s time, become the single most
inept president perhaps in all of American history, and certainly in
my lifetime. Never has so much political advantage been pissed away so
rapidly, and what’s more in the context of so much national urgency
and crisis. It’s astonishing, really, to contemplate how much has been
lost in a single year.

Okay, now that we know the source of Green’s angst, let us now mine
the rest of his essay for the comedy gold nuggets:

…he doesn’t really “charge” at anything. He just talks about things,
thinks about things a real long time, defers to others on things, and
waits around for things to maybe happen.

…I have never seen a president so utterly lacking in passion. This
man literally doesn’t even seem to care about himself, let alone this
or that policy issue. He doesn’t seem to have any strong opinions on
anything, a sure prescription for presidential failure.

He has therefore let Congress ‘lead’ on nearly every issue, another
surefire mistake. Instead of demanding that they pass real stimulus
legislation – which would have really stimulated the economy,
big-time, and right now – he let those dickheads on the Hill just load
up a big pork party blivet of a bill with all the pet projects they
could find, designed purely to benefit their personal standing with
the voters at home, rather than to actually produce jobs for
Americans. And on health care, his signature issue, he did the same
thing. “You guys write it, and I’ll sign the check.” Could there
possibly be a greater prescription for failure than allowing a bunch
of the most venal people on the planet to cobble together a 2,000 page
monstrosity that entirely serves their interests and those of the
people whose campaign bribes put them in office?

…if you’re trying to run the most failed presidency ever, a really
good idea is to campaign in the grandest terms possible, and then
deliver squat. You know, talk about bending the arc of history. Invoke
Martin Luther King’s dream and his struggles and even those of the
slaves. Ring the big bells of generational calling. Remind voters
every thirty seconds that the country badly needs “Change!”. Then get
elected and turn around and continue the policies of your hated
predecessor in every meaningful policy area. Only with less
conviction. People will love that.

And if you think there is a chance that Green might kiss and make up
with Obama, there is this:

I don’t give a shit about Barack Obama anymore, other than my desire
that really ugly things happen to him as payment in kind for the
grandest act of betrayal we’ve seen since Benedict Arnold did his
thing. But what about the country?

Ouch!

And Howard Dean still doesn’t “get it”. I doubt he ever will. Obama is trying to take our country toward HUGE government. We, the People, don’t like it.

I can usually never tell if the things these leftys say and do is based on lies, stupidity or insanity. Dean doesn’t seem like he’s lying, so I’m going to conclude that he is stupid and or insane.

The only thing Dean knows is how to do the hog call, if Barry was any more liberal we would be flying the Fabian Socialist flag already.

America…these ‘mentally unstable’ Democratzi are true loons of the left! Not liberal enough?

Did he get his brain damaged when they threw him under the bus?

Was it a concussion of rational thinking…probably not…he was probably always just stupid!

Let them speak…again I say…it will be just another ‘nail’ of deception that we can use to seal the lids of their political coffins in November and beyond!

America…thank goodness that “real” Americans in all parties have seen the truth and are fighting back to recover our government from the insane!

Never be weary in well doing…they are dirty…they are evil…they are liars and they are going…soooner rather than later!

Nostromo12   January 24th, 2010 - 3:39 pm

Howard Dean’s scream sums up where he lies within the realm of reality. Any Brits her watched this nonsense should take a walk down any U.S. street in middle class America and ask for the average voter’s opinion. Maybe we should get Elle Light’s opinion–straight from the White House basement.

Scientists against Obama   January 24th, 2010 - 3:40 pm

I am a scientist and Thank God Howard Dean isn’t one. It makes zero sense that people would vote for a Conservative because the other constant isn’t Liberal enough. These Democrats try to defy Einstein’s theory of relativity on an hourly basis. A very splendid fool indeed.

Elle Light has been found   January 24th, 2010 - 3:42 pm

Nostromo12, I see you have learned who Elle Light is. Yes, the blog poster who has written hundreds of comments praising Obama and finally discovered to be sourced to the White House itself.

Not only is Dean an idiot, his fellow politicians are nothing less than a bunch of dishonest arrogent elitists, who think we are their employees and they know what is best for us. They keep saying they are doing what the american people want. Well where can I get off their list. The progressive liberals are doing a pretty good job of destroying the greatest nation in the history of the world and Obama and his administration are at the helm. They make me want to throw up. Seems the ‘good’ Dr. Dean is in serious need of a psych-eval.

Actually, if I were bleeding I am not too sure I’d let this guy lay a hand on me. Shouldn’t he be ‘helping-out’ with John Edwards in Haiti? The Scientologists could use them both down there.

Socialism Anyone?   January 24th, 2010 - 4:39 pm

Will someone give this idiot some smelling salts…he is so completely clueless as to the reality of the situation. It makes me sick that our country is being run by such space cadets. Thank God WE THE PEOPLE are now fully aware of this evil regime.

ellie light - aka G. Soros   January 24th, 2010 - 6:35 pm

Gosh, I don’t think we can expect Obama to wave a magic wand and make things better overnight. It’s Bushes fault. He was a bad man.
It’s hard work being the president and he’s only been there one year and he’s such a good man and Michelle has such nice arms.

If only everyone could see Obama the way we all did during the campaign, it would be a better country. Please make another pledge to support your president, Obama, and help him complete his mission of social and economic justice and healing the planet against the bad corporations.

And don’t forget to follow MSNBC and Media Matters for all the truth!

margot   January 24th, 2010 - 6:45 pm

After listening to Dean I feel like I’m stoned! I must be or is he really saying the problem with Obama is he is not Left enough?? Let’s do some reform and then after we’ll listen to what the people of the country want??? I must be high!

Gandhi's Fist   January 24th, 2010 - 6:46 pm

Dean has officially “gone off the rails.” Better get himself checked for a cerebral anomaly. My guess is his denial comes from a series of mini-strokes.

It sounds like an unusual condition, but it is really quite common, over 20% of democrats have the very same affliction. The only known cure is common sense, freedom and self-reliance.

DA BEARRRS   January 24th, 2010 - 6:51 pm

Go ahead… Make my election cycle…

poof   January 24th, 2010 - 6:52 pm

Does Mr. Dean not remember what happened to Clinton after the election of 94? “A turn to the right is a loosing proposition..” Dean says. Tell that to Bill Mr. Dean… Obama would be an absolute fool if he does not steer that way…. But im crossing my fingers he is as stubborn as this weener..

psutopgun   January 24th, 2010 - 7:08 pm

If Obama goes any further left he will have to go to Cuba or Disney World. He and Dean could get together there and swap ice cream stories. That’s it…brain freeze from eating ice cream too fast.

Campbell 62   January 24th, 2010 - 7:16 pm

Oh I wish the Dems would listen to Dean, then we would have the biggest house and senate cleaning in history!

R from ID   January 24th, 2010 - 7:19 pm

The Dems are just beginning to pile on each other. If the conservatives keep kicking them in the rear-ends, that will continue.

Remember, this is just the beginning. They still have not forgotten their health care bill, but if Howard wants to think that Americans want to move further to the left, just keep thinking that Mr. Dean, just keep thinking that..

Owen   January 24th, 2010 - 7:24 pm

I love it when he talks, and the more he talks the funnier he gets.

iconoclastKM   January 24th, 2010 - 7:31 pm

Hey “ellie light – aka G. Soros” January 24th, 2010 – 6:35 pm,

It’s hard work being the president and he’s only been there one year and he’s such a good man and Michelle has such nice arms.”

“…and Michelle has such nice arms.”

I’m still crackin’ up laughing.

The truth is that people still really feel that way; like so many of the MOON-BATS that buy into the AL GORE HOAX. They are out there still too.

Please Barry, move more to the left!

Please do!

Independent-in-Massachusetts   January 24th, 2010 - 8:21 pm

Hey, earth to doctor Dean… my vote for Brown was a vote AGAINST the Obama polices… agenda… and not because he wasn’t left or liberal enough…

Howard… put the kool-aid down… step away from the table… and get some help man… really… you’re not thinking logically…

drprobus   January 24th, 2010 - 8:22 pm

You just keep thinking that he’s not liberal enough! Give that same message to all his advisers, too! Then 2010, and 2012, will be so very much easier for US to turn this country “right” back around!

drprobus   January 24th, 2010 - 8:27 pm

Maybe your “thought process” is the biggest reason why you’re the “ex-chairman” of the DNC!

Howard Dean a whack job?
he is one of the only clear thinking individuals on the hill.
unfortunately for most of the public and most politicians he makes weaklings nervous.

Occams Gun   January 24th, 2010 - 9:32 pm

After reading these posts I got the clear impression that most of the people who consider themselves ‘right wing conservatives’ thought that Dean had made a fool of himself. But I disagree.

I consider myself conservative but I think Dean did a remarkably good job of presenting his case. That said, you really could sense that he didn’t feel comfortable saying what he was saying… exactly the way he said. Without putting too fine a point on it let me just say that is seemed to me that his comments were… shall me say… ‘coached’.

Let me reconstruct what I think happened with his handlers before this ‘interview’ was taped.

DEAN: So, what I plan to do it point out that my polls show that Obama is clearly *not* being liberal enough and that, at this critical time, he has to now pivot *hard* left. And, at that point, I will let out a nice… and very convincingly emotional… “YEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!” What do you think?

HANDLER: Well… I’m with you on the cold statistics of the poll results, and I agree that if you state them… with a straight face… then many of people, who currently support the president, will be emboldened by that clearly party line stance, and so, there might be… some… advantage to doing that… but… I would leave out the “YEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!”. I really think it might give the impression that your argument is less based on ration and more of a… shall we say… an emotional appeal.

DEAN: Really? You think it might actually detract from the message? I don’t know. I’m thinking that people might want to see my personal attachment to what I’m saying. How about I end with a brief… “BULLA-BULLA-BULLA-YABA-YABA-BA-BA-BA-YEAAAAAH!”

HANDLER: No… no…. I think that might convey the same message as the “YEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!” I suggest we go with the simple… poll results… as silly as they might be… but… if stated… *with* a straight face… they *might* re-enforce your already committed base and… with a little luck… confuse the independant voter enough… that he *might* not immediately decide to vote against Obama, leaving an… opportunity… for the president to come forward with a… more ‘realistic’ plan to deal with the current debacle he has created.

DEAN: Humm… so your really think the way to go is with dry facts? Strange… but clever… who knows… it might work? Whatever. We pay you guys the big bucks to do the thinking for us so I guess we would be silly to ignore your advice… as silly as it sounds to me… I’ll do it!

Cabby - AZ   January 24th, 2010 - 10:07 pm

In Dean’s mind the Dems were handed a lemon (defeat in Mass.) and he is making “lemonade” out of it. Ridiculous!!
His conclusion as to why the upset in Mass. is about as far-fetched as one could get. I guess that when you be-
lieve a lie, as he does, you deceive yourself, and that is exactly what he and others of the same opinion have done.

Buford T Justice   January 24th, 2010 - 11:10 pm

2010 should be lots of fun – Welcome aboard the Obama train train of denial, lefty sheeple – next stop – over the side of the cliff.

This train wreck is gonna be entertaining!

John Evans   January 24th, 2010 - 11:32 pm

I agree. Obama has gone way too far to appease the idiot right wing that has destroyed our democracy. The last thing the American people need is to go further to the right. We need a liberal agenda. The right wing of the supreme court just sold our country to the highest bidder. Now Foriegn Companies can freely buy our elections. It was the liberals that opposed this. Why do right wingers hate our nation and its people so much?

IamJohnGalt   January 24th, 2010 - 11:36 pm

Howard Dean makes “MoonBats” look like the sanest beings on the planet.

Howard Dean is CORRECT and iam a democrat, and so far Obama have annoyed me beyond belief, he continues wars and bailout like george Bush, Zero public option push by him which speaks volume, this BILL have NO single payer or public option thats why i think its a BAD BILL and i would never vote for it .Now had the bill had at least the public option i would have gone out and support the president.

Obama and the Dems have the majority and they wasted it , say what you will about republicans when they are in power they know how to be lock step and don’t have any INFIGHTING , the democrats can take some lessons.

After this year i realise Howard Dean would have made a great President. he would have taken the bull by the horns in congress instead of leaving bills/policies up to them to shape.

Jana   January 25th, 2010 - 12:32 am

I agree with the other posters. Just keep thinking that way Dean, yep, you got it all figured out. Keep moving farther left…. 2012 can’t come soon enough.

Rock   January 25th, 2010 - 12:56 am

The unfortunate truth is the Liberal Left did fail to get the vote out, because many view Obama as a traitor to the liberal cause. And while most voters in fact cast their votes for Brown because of the dismal failures and direction of the Obama administration, the only one’s Obama, Dean and the rest seem to hear is the minority extreme Left. Every speech since Browns win has included his need to pass government controlled health care. He not only does not hear us, he continues to ignore us. At least those with in the Belt-Way are starting to hear the Voters, and I think we owe the Tea Party participants some credit on that front. This administration has now put us all on notice, he does not care about our wish’s, and as a typical liberal is of the opinion he knows what best for us. I’m way past needing a father to hold my hand, I want a President who loves America and all it’s people and will help defend it against her enemies foreign and domestic.

I CAN’T BELIEVE IT … most of the people here don’t believe Dr Howard Dean. Well, let me tell you all, right now. There are thousands of people who will swear that he is right on the mark. Fortunately, they are all locked up, in Dean-Jackets, at the State Mental Hospitals all across this great country.

Yee Haaaaaaaaaaaaa, Little Missy. Another transmission from Planet Clueless. With such a small minority of voters admitting they are “liberal,” I’m looking forward to admiring the results of your strategy.

If Dean were a chief of a fire department he would order all water be removed from the fire trucks and be refilled with gasoline.

He is also proof of how out-of-touch with America the liberal Democrats are.

RAM   January 25th, 2010 - 4:47 pm

Keep up the stupidity Dean, (and Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Gibbs)! Misreading why “We the People” voted as we did, or didn’t vote at all the last two elections in 2006 and 2008, is why the Republicans lost so many seats in Congress, AND I am not sure they have heard much “WE” have said since or even now!!!

Every time morons like Dean, Pelosi, Reid, Obama speak things like this, they only prove the Bible correct when it states what GOD says about “thinking themselves wise, they will become fools”!

I pray for America when, (not IF), Obama tries to give Israel’s land to his Muslim brothers. GOD will unleash HIS wrath when that happens!

RAM   January 25th, 2010 - 4:50 pm

PS: The ONLY people that make more left turns than Obama has are the winners of the Indy 500 in May each year!

nono524   January 25th, 2010 - 4:56 pm

This the best advertisement the GOP can get and it’s free. What a moron!

RAM   January 25th, 2010 - 6:47 pm

I just heard the Obama sound byte, where he said he had hoped that Republicans and Dems would start playing “as a team”.

In order for that to happen moron, you have to allow the Republicans into the huddle, or at least let them attend “team meetings”.

This guy is either brain dead, or he thinks we are!

Army of Davids   January 25th, 2010 - 10:07 pm

Dick Morris…rumor of stealth backdoor healthcare passage Reid and Pelosi.

Tom Baker   January 26th, 2010 - 2:46 am

I want the democrats to listen to Dean and Oberman and Kitty Kranky….so the republican victory next time will be greater than ever.
Ameica is waking up to the reality of the democratic party and seeing the difference between the way the democrats speak and the reality of what they actually do.

FLGuy   January 26th, 2010 - 8:47 am

@trying.to.please-You are as delusional as Dean is. Sorry but I can assure you that the vast majority of Americans don’t think like you do. Have you considered moving to Europe? Their Socialism would fit you perfectly and it is already well ingrained there. We won’t allow it to happen here so take your free-loading, Socialist ideals and stuff them!

kmichaels   January 26th, 2010 - 10:50 am

Which proves one thing. THe democrats have the dumbass stupid vote wrapped up real tight.
