What he's saying seems to me to be really constructive criticism of the tea party/Republican agenda/Fox News, and I'm willing to bet that even though nearly all the comments so far resulted in retaliation criticism directed at "all liberals" or making conclusions about "all Americans", the Republican party heeds this advice 100%. Here's why:
He said what Fox did something racist, not that they were racist or that by doing something racist, they become a de facto racist organization. He also said that the Republican party and the Tea party need to stop appealing to the fringe. Which is 100% correct. Not only that, but it's really hard to argue with… it's much easier to argue against a made-up extremism, which is exactly what We_the_People is doing a couple of posts above this one. (Not to pick you out, but I don't feel like naming every single example, many of which would be applicable.)

Most Americans are middle of the road, myself included. Most are forced to take sides with one extreme because they associate on sites like this, that cater to extremism and require extremism to stand out. But they should not define a party. Make 98% of the people happy and let the 2% extremists be unhappy. They always will be. It's good advice.
