I’m sorry, those who break our laws must be “punished” for their transgressions. Should we also allow American citizens who break the law to escape justice? Of course not! Yet that is what Obummer and liberals in Congress are wanting to do by granting “amnesty” to “illegals” who are here in the United States illegally! What does this say beyond the scope of just giving millions of law breakers complete abdication of responsibility from their illegal actions? Well, for one thing it shows Mexico and Canada, and the rest of the World for that matter, that if you break our laws and enter the United States ‘illegally’ our Government will look the other way and eventually grant you amnesty as well – because they just did it for 12 million other law breakers before them.

You have to live in an area that is overrun with illegals to even begin to appreciate the many facets of this problem. One thing that I can tell you, from personal experience, is that illegals do not consider themselves to be doing anything wrong. They consider Mexico to be their home, their country, and their sojourn in the US as just a necessity.
I know one woman who has lived in the US for over 30 years, hardly speaks English, and has absolutely no connection to the US as a country; for her Mexico is home.
And, also from personal experience, I can tell you that anchor babies who are now adults are very, very proud of the fact that their parents walked across the border. To them it is a symbol of courage and strength and it equates to the pioneers who settled the west, which used to be taught as part of US history.

Jeb Bush Opposes Arizona Immigration Law

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush says he opposes the new Arizona immigration law, making him the first top national Republican figure to do so.
The new rules make policemen check the status of any immigrants they reasonably suspect to be here illegally and arrest them if they can’t prove they are here legally.
“I think it creates unintended consequences,” Bush told Politico. “It’s difficult for me to imagine how you’re going to enforce this law. It places a significant burden on local law enforcement and you have civil liberties issues that are significant as well.”
Bush explains that after giving a speech Monday night, a Hispanic man expressed his concern that the law will foster racial discrimination and unfair targeting of Hispanics.
“He said, ‘My parents live here, my grandparents live here — I’m Mexican-American. I could be picked up.’”
The uproar that sparked the Arizona bill is understandable, Bush says. But he maintains that immigration should remain a federal issue.
“I don’t think this is the proper approach,” he said.
Bush and his brother believe comprehensive immigration reform is the way to go. Jeb Bush favors tougher border security and permitting more immigrants to become citizens.
He sees a bright spot in the Arizona law, calling it “an opportunity, not a problem.” That’s because it makes clear the need for a new federal immigration law.
Today Bush will be part of a conference call sponsored by Conservatives for Comprehensive Immigration Reform to push for such a law, The Washington Post reports.
Carlos Gutierrez, who served as Commerce Secretary under George W. Bush, will also be on the call.
Bush said it represents a “nationwide strategy call with key business and Evangelical leaders to share convictions around the need for immigration reform this year.”
Bush’s comments Tuesday coincided with former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio’s announcement that he too opposes the Arizona law. Rubio is running for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate from Florida.

Summary: The Heritage Foundation issued two studies in 2007 pointing out that the big problem with mass legalization is that (a) most illegal aliens are low-skilled and therefore do not earn enough money to pay enough taxes to cover the government benefits they receive; and (b), amnesty would eventually make them eligible for the full array of welfare and medical benefits offered by local, state and federal governments. They found the cost of allowing illegal aliens to remain in the United States, and eventually to become citizens, would be $3.7 trillion through the year 2056. That works out to a present cost of $1 trillion, at a 5 percent discount rate. In other words, immediately upon passage of an amnesty bill, the United States government would need to put $1 trillion into an investment earning 5 percent per year if it were honest about paying for the costs of amnesty.

TEN YEARS AGO (in 2000), there were over 35 million Hispanics in the USA (this included Mexicans, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, etc.). In 2006, U.S. Census estimated the Hispanic population in USA had risen to 42.7 million. Nobody even seems to know TODAY, in 2010, how many Hispanics are in our country! (Pew Hispanic Research Center estimated 44 million in 2009!! SOMETHING IS OBVIOUSLY WRONG WITH ALL THESE FIGURES! (i.e., they are WAY TOO LOW.) (And yet the Lib-Clowns want AMNESTY for an UNKNOWN QUANTITY OF THESE PEOPLE????)
