Don’t normally cover suicides = a lot more going on than you are being informed about! Record numbers of miltary members are killing themselves because they know our government’s wars are UNJUST!

gwar5   May 17th, 2010 - 9:47 pm

Makes sense, I mean you can’t foreclose on somebody if they’re dead. So I guess the dead people won alright.

Ron   May 17th, 2010 - 9:57 pm

Oh those darn banks, making people take on debt they might not should have. Oops gotta run, my credit card is signaling me to go shopping.

Travis   May 17th, 2010 - 11:10 pm

Why is it always the bank’s fault when dead beats don’t pay their bills?

Veritas   May 17th, 2010 - 11:29 pm

They should have turned their burden over to God. They did not need to do this evil thing. Remember, God is always their waiting for you to turn to Him with your problems and he will deliver you!!

One less loan the public now has to pay for…

Rogerb   May 18th, 2010 - 12:34 am

Hey Ron / Travis – Where do you get the idea that someone who is out of work and despondent has somehow ‘run up their credit card’ or is a ‘deadbeat?’ Do you have access to their financial records? How would you know anything about their situation? Do you know them personally? How would you know anything about these two people other than the fact that they’re dead? In your vain attempt to try and be cute and clever, you’ve both fallen off that high horse ass-first onto the dusty trail. You’ve shown your true colors, Ron and Travis – Losers with a Capital “L.” If you’re going to comment on something, try writing about something you know. Otherwise, zip it. Even a fool is considered wise if he remains silent.

Mortgages are taken because the future is bright and the payments set today will be cheaper compared with income as time goes on. (My first was $530 a month in 1976, but my parent’s was $78 just after WW-II)
As long as there is hope and optimism home ownership is great. When the money and the hope and the dreams leave and telephonic bill collectors take over, suicide might seem the best way.
A pox on politicians that ‘adjust’ the system to suit their agenda and to Hell with those that are killing this great country.
Remember in November and KEEP remembering those that gave us the freedom we so often give away in search of security and comfort.

democratslie   May 18th, 2010 - 9:36 am

Gee, they didn’t try to set off a bomb in a crowded city? Isn’t that what the MSM expects people to do when they can’t pay their mortgage?

Very sad.   May 18th, 2010 - 10:56 am

Why are people still in foreclosure? I thought obama was going to cure all our ills and set us back on the right track?? Where is the Reinvestment and Recovery that President Obama promised us???

18 months into his term and no recovery in sight–Obama owns this tragic event.

Chuck L.   May 18th, 2010 - 12:02 pm

Right…financial troubles. And, which prescribed psychotropic drugs were they on exactly?

O'Really?   May 18th, 2010 - 5:33 pm

Hey, kmichaels,
Pay your bills and the banks won’t try to take your house.

Guamley   May 18th, 2010 - 9:15 pm

Well its better then what that guy in Times Square did when he couldn’t pay his mortgage.
Oh wait, he was a Muslim Extremist.
Can I say that?
