I guess I made the right decision to leave the States seven years ago. My heart is broken over this horrible socialist maneuver — despite the fact that I stand to make a lot of money off of it.

People need to remember who was part of this crew on the Titanic. By the same token, those Democrats who withstood the pressures of Obama, Pelosi etc. should be congratulated. I’m waiting for the Senate’s vote, but I really have lost all confidence in this Nation, it’s government, and most of all, it’s people. America, as it stands today, will vote for whomever promises it the most free stuff from the public tax revenue.
This all started after the first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, freed the slaves. The Democrats swore they would never allow the blacks to vote. After African-American’s were given the right to vote, the Democrats set out to insure that their vote would be controlled by Democrats, for Democrats. They would accomplish this by keeping them poor, giving them crumbs, and promising them the moon. And black America has fallen for it like children being lied to by a baby sitter! That is truly a shame, because some of the best people this nation has ever known, very patriotic, very devoted, very hard working, reliable people, also happen to be black. (If that sounded condescending, please forgive me. It was truly not meant that way. Race is not my problem with this administration, it is its politics and the direction it is leading this nation!)
Eventually, the line between a Liberal and Conservative interpretation of the Constitution, (the ORIGINAL INTENTION of that reference!) became nothing more than an argument between Socialism and Capitalism. That is EXACTLY what the European Intelligentsia predicted it would! (What a shame, that THEY were right!)
Apparently now, a vote for a Democrat is equivalent to vote for Socialism, which is, of course, is a vote for Communism, and ultimately, exactly what Carl Marx said would come about. (How sad, for this nation, for us all! My father, my Grandfather, and my Great Grandmother all told me of the honor and dignity of the Democratic Party. How it was the ”Party of the People”. The ones for the little guy! I will never forgive them for their deceit!)
The common statement, “They think you are stupid!” is so very relative today! All that those who follow the left apparently know of our history is what is being used to degrade the United States! We can’t blame them for their ignorance! All that the Public School System will teach them is that the United States of America has been nothing but the Fist of Opression, sent by the European White Man to defeat the poor natives of a land of peaceful people! That the whole world is in such a state of repression because of a few White Men that American’s call their Founding Fathers! The beginnings of the FIRST GOVERNMENT of and for the people, is nothing more than what a bunch of white guys wanting to run a country of their own, managed to wrestle from England!

I know, also, by your comments that you are truly disappointed by what happened today in the House…as we all are!
I do not understand why these men/women elected to represent the people are doing nothing like that.
I can only attribute it to Holy ‘Christian’ scripture where in periods of time in the history of this world…GOD chose to “blind the eyes of men” against one thing or another.
I suppose that is what we should assume is happening in America today…GOD is blinding the eyes of people so that HIS will for these last days will take it’s course for man.
But rest assured…that doesn’t mean we have no hope and we should not fight on for what we think is right!
Keep on keeping on…and always know that GOD is truly in control!
He does not expect us to be “led as sheep to the slaughter”…but to be diligent in well doing to make a difference with those we can be an example too!

This is tremendously disappointing. While the democrats try to tell you that this is a “jobs” bill, no one in their right mind would ever consider that the amount of non-productive overhead in this bill wouldn’t cause a net-loss of jobs. In fact, one of the points in the 300 page addendum is that funding is available to pay unemployment benefits for the expected job loss.
So, what is it? A net job creator or a net job killer?
We also need to find out why 8 so called republicans would have voted for this bill. To what school of conservatism did these 8 go that would have taught handing over such monumental control of the economy to the EPA – a non-elected body – would be a good thing?
We can vote these people out at the next opportunity, but I’m afraid that this legislation is written so air-tight that we’ll never be able to get rid of it.
For those of you in the blue collar industries – especially those who voted democrat this past time – what were you thinking? How’s the union gonna help you out this time?

Can’t wait for the backlash from this! The economy is in the sh it can and they are putting more stress on it with their politics of fear? I can still remember when I was in the 5th grade and teachers said by the time we were 30 there would be no more fresh water to drink and no where to live because of housing shortages. F U dems. Your desire to keep the 3rd world in it’s place under the guise of global concern is the real horror.
