I will spare the horrid details, but will tell you my baby died in Innsbruck, Austria at the hospital due to a totally inexcusable mistake my Dr.made.I was 5 months pregnant. I miscarried. After that, I made a decision not to have children. I was advised to report my Dr. to the police for his malpractice. I didn’t. It would not bring the baby back. They have too few doctors and nurses. Too little space. Overcrowded rooms. Inferior equiptment. Impossible red tape and on and on. The lines and waiting times before appointments are terribe. The care is 3rd class. Very impersonal and cold.They are overworked and underpaid. And, yes, I heard many stories of people dying in the waiting rooms. God help us. Socialized medicine will be the last straw.

I listened to some of the “debate” if you can even call it that. I couldn’t believe all of the entitlement raised wackos who think that this bill will cause the quality health care system we now have to just throw their doors open to everyone and anyone and be able to maintain that quality. They don’t have a clue.
Those who were in favor of this bill were either the brainwashed children of the ’60’s and ’70’s or they were the uber rich (like Pelosi) who think that they will always be able to buy the health care that they want and leave the general population to have their’s dished out to them by the DEATH PANELS that will be inevitable. They will be the ones to decide what treatment for what illness will be “acceptable” and it was pointed out to them by the minority leader before the vote.
Like Obama said “you’ll be better off to take your pain pill and shut the hell up”.
Even though the morons voted for this in the HOUSE, I seriously doubt it will get through the SENATE. SO relax, contact your state senators.
And even if, IF it does pass in the senate, there will be several Lawsuits nation wide, The bill is 100% unconstitutional, there will be so many lawsuits that it will be tied up, and come 2010 we all know that the dems will lose the majority and obama will either be impeeched or a lame duck.
You can also contact your local state HOUSE and SENATE reps at the STATE level, each state can Block this bill based on state sovereignty laws and a few have already done it as a plan B (if it does make it all the way through) But you all know it is illegal to force this on americans or make them pay a fine.
Do you really think that Millions will pay a fee? No, of course not.
It will create criminals, if and when it gets to that point which is presently illegal to force on the public, But I doubt it will ever get that far. As soon as the senate votes on this it will be gone, but if they do pass it in the senate, the day after it passes and obama signs it, there will be 1000’s of lawsuits.
But come 2010 the Repub’s will take back control.
It will not pass in the senate, and if it somehow does there will be massive lawsuits, as this bill is unconstitutional.

In reply to Whatwhatwhat. I believe the forcing of individuals to have health care or face fines and/or imprisonment is not constitutional. I am not certain this was included in this final bill. Someone else may know more. The camels nose is in the tent and will be in the sleeping bag if this passes senate. It has something to do with that wacky “personal liberty and freedom” thing! Some morons known as the “so-called” founders thought it would come in handy to limit government. But, what did they know? That was so long ago. We now have a constitutional lawyer as our president. a Not to worry, he is updating the constitution for us, along with The Czars, et al. Afterall, he is so smart and he knows best what is good for us! I feel so confident that the goverment has my best interests in mind and think they do a great job handling money and large programs!

1) The federal government is supposed to have limited powers. They’re attempting to take over 1/6 of the economy. This goes beyond the spirit of the founding fathers original designs for our government. If the states want to do this, then that is up to the individual state. For a citizen of that state that is for state government control of healthcare, that person can choose to move to another state where there is no centralized government healthcare.
2) Healthcare for all – just like food for all or housing for all – is not enumerated in the constitution
3) Forcing people to buy health insurance infringes on our liberty. ti should be a choice.
4) This infringes upon private property rights. My money is earned to help my family and whomever else I choose. We can argue about what is reasonable for my tax rate to support a limited government…10% perhaps?…but certainly not 50% (when fed, state, FICA, medicare, energy, local, sales, property, etc taxes are taken into consideration.)
This doesn’t even begin to address the issue of the federal government being competent to run something this massive. Look at Cash/Clunkers, Medicare/Medicaid, Flu Shots…..I could keep going. I hope you now begin to understand the issues we conservatives are considering as we evaluate government initiatives.

It is ABSURD & RIDICULOUS to rush through something as important as our nation’s HEALTH CARE and then say THIS WON’T GO INTO EFFECT FOR ANOTHER FOUR YEARS!!?? INSTEAD, THEY SHOULD:
1. BURN ALL THE DRAFTED DOCUMENTS (SORRY, TREES, FOR YOUR SLAUGHTER!) AND START ALL OVER, AND MAKE A REALISTIC, LOGICAL & FAIR PLAN, EVEN IF IT TAKES FOUR YEARS, DAMMIT!
2. IN THE MEANTIME, EXTEND THE PRESENT MEDICAID SYSTEM TO INCLUDE THOSE FEW MILLION AMERICANS WHO CANNOT AFFORD HEALTH CARE, SO THEY WILL AT LEAST HAVE SOME *CATASTROPHIC COVERAGE* FOR NOW, WHILE THE CONGRESS HAMMERS OUT A REALISTIC PLAN.
3. LEAVE MEDICARE ALONE!
4. IMMEDIATELY ALLOW AMERICANS TO CROSS STATE LINES TO OBTAIN INSURANCE.
5. IMMEDIATELY BEGIN TORT REFORM LEGISLATION.
6. STARTING IN 2010, MAKE ALL PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS *INSURABLE* BUT PATIENT MUST PAY AN ADDITIONAL PREMIUM FOR COVERAGE. (THERE IS NO WAY THAT PRIVATE INSURERS ARE GOING TO TAKE ON A WHOLE NATION OF PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS WITHOUT THEM GETTING *HELP* WITH ADDITIONAL PREMIUMS TO COVER THEIR COSTS!! GROW UP, YOU LOONS YOU WROTE SUCH NONSENSE IN THE EXISTING BILLS!)
IF CONGRESS DID THESE SIMPLE STEPS, *WHAT MORE* DOES ANYBODY NEED?????????

Under this pelosi debacle if you don’t buy health insurance, you could thousands of
dollars in fine and a five-year prison term. Child molesters (cletus) get a slap on
the wrist for their crime. charlie rangle still heads a committee in congress, chris
dodd is still a senator. A bunch of other congressmen are under investigation for
a lobbying scandal. Look at what is happening. They want to put you in jail for not

I will forever admire the sheer tenacity, focus, and bravery, of our APOLLO 13 astronauts, the NASA personnel, and the one man who wouldn’t settle for less than “Bring them home!”

Except for quick notes to both Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh, in response to their shows, this is the only place I post. There’s plenty of filthy garbage that gets posted here by those who despise us, and it makes me sad to see this friction between Eileen, and Mark – especially when we know this Administration, Pelosi, Reid, and some members of Congress have not only led jihad on AMERICA with the Healthcare/Insurance Reform Bill but would just as soon see us dead.
Congress isn’t listening, and I feel so helpless. You could say my reaction was just a co-dependent behavior, yet it was an honest attempt to help. I just wanted desperately – in what I thought was an appropriate way – to help still the waters between the two of our own. If it cannot be, it cannot be.
You’re right… and ‘tho the darkness emanating from this Administration on Capitol Hill is suffocating, I’m not a moderator – here or anywhere else.

Nancy Pelosi and America’s Christmas Present?
Nancy Pelosi was gloating over the passage of Obamacare in the House of Representatives by a vote on 220 to 215. She had the look as if to say, “I’ve Got the Power.”
She now says she hopes to give the American people a Christmas present with the passage of Obamacare into law. Yeah, the proverbial “Lump of Coal.” Better be careful on mentioning Christmas, a Christian Holiday; after all President Barack Hussein Obama stated we are no longer a Christian Nation. It may be more politically correct to say Ramadan. Although, then there’s the problem of separation of church and state that Pelosi and her ilk constantly spout off about when it comes to Christians?
She along with Obama is in favor of putting people in jail if they do not buy health insurance. But I thought they were firing the guards and releasing some prisoners in California? Anyway, I guess that’s one way to get them coverage by putting them in prison.
This country is one more step closer to Socialism. These elitist Democrats don’t care about the people in America they care about themselves and the control they will have if this bill is signed into law. And what gives them the right to force someone to purchase health insurance under penalty of prison? HOW IS THIS CONSTITUTIONAL?
Nancy, this monstrosity passed in the dark of night, on a Saturday only after some chicanery went on about the bill regarding abortion. It would not have passed without the Stupak (STUPID) Amendment. Stupak’s amendment prohibits abortion coverage in the public insurance option included in the House bill. It would also prevent private plans from offering coverage for abortion services if they accept people who are receiving government subsidies. It does allow abortions in the case of rape, incest or imperils the health or life of the mother.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), the Democrats’ chief deputy whip in the House said “I am confident that when it comes back from the conference committee that that language won’t be there.” So they put in an amendment in order to pass this atrocity only to remove the amendment from the final bill.
Republican Leader John Boehner could not get any guarantees that the Amendment would be in the final bill. Without the Stupak (Stupid) amendment the House healthcare bill would not have passed and this healthcare bill would have gone down to defeat.
Mr. Boehner, knowing that voting to pass this amendment was just a ruse to get the Healthcare bill passed; why did you and the Republicans vote for it? It does not make sense to me when you say you are against this healthcare bill and then vote for an amendment that basically guarantees the bill will pass.
Hey Nancy, if this healthcare bill (Obamacare) is so GREAT, why did you use chicanery to get the bill passed in the DARK of night? Why not do it in the light of day and do a power point presentation on the benefits of this plan? Why not show the American people what a wonderful plan it is? The so-called benefits of the plan do not go into effect until 2013. What’s the rush? Is it because the taxes go into effect immediately? Did you even read the bill?
This is not about healthcare for the American people. It is about power and control over our lives. It is about the loss of FREEDOM! It’s a trillion dollar boondoggle that will not improve on healthcare in this country. It’s about tax increases and the possibility of going to prison. It’s about Socialism. Obamacare is wrong for America and should be defeated.
