So what of he wants his employees to speak english in front of him. They just want to talk shit about him infront of his face and get away with it speaking spanish. And the lady who is talking on the tape said ” I want to bring the community aware” and ” I have friends of all orientations”. WHAT the hell, such back grammer. and then he also said he shortened peoples names? weird, but can you really put “Alonso Armando Enrique Gonzalo Hernando” on a name tag? This is hos hotel, not their hotel. If the employees were doing such great jobs with customers, why was the property in forclosure twice. I would have fired them if they did not do what they were told, but I would have not shortened the names.

Huh? Did he fire them because the employees wanted to run the hotel the way it had always been run, or because they wouldn’t call themselves by anglican names? I’m missing something here.

Sounds like they did not like any of his new rules. The one guy seemed proud to work for a hotel that has gone bankrupt many times. I’LL work for him any day.

If they want to run the hotel with their rules, they need to buy the hotel. If they don’t like his rules, they need to find another job. It’s really not that complicated. When you’re and employee, you don’t get to make the rules. Get over it.

So he bought out the old company assets and property. Its a company buyout, you want to work for the new company and conform with new corporate headquarters and institute a successful business model. Makes sense and you bring corporate assets such as IT and Networking to run a BSA software and security audit maybe, setup the front end and back office to work with corporate home office all sounds good. Sounds like a successful model.

The bank was feeding this motel $30k amonth? WELL FEED THE MONSTER! Obviously they needed someone to takeover and reorganize

All of their customer serv reps in Asia etc have Anglo names.

Then…..

Go after this small business owner.

Out here in the heart of America we still have signs in Resturants and coffee shops, bars, gas stations, auto repair shops, etc. that say “WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE”. The signs are not for minorities. It’s mostly for idiots. Nothing is more fun than telling some stupid white liberal with New York or California plates on his BMW, he can’t eat or get gasoline here. “Move along troublemaker, your not welcome here”. They never argue (or at least they don’t argue for very long). The liberals think we are stupid hicks out here and they hate us. That’s fine, we don’t like them either and they can stay the hell away. At least they better if they know what’s good for them.

This stupid, tired old bigot should be driven out of business and sent packing. If you people with Anglo names were required to “Latinize” them for employment (Mary’s would become Maria’s, Joe’s would be José’s), I bet that you would have a different attitude.

Maybe a Muslim should buy a company where everyone would be required to change his/her name to a variation of Ali or Mohammed or face termination. I wonder what the response from the religious right would be then.

Perhaps you should ignore those who think that you are a stupid hick instead of posting dumb comments that remove all doubt that you are. The problem with your “right” to refuse service to “anyone” is that “anyone” usually turns out to be a minority that you, or your kind, resent.

My boys and I only stayed at the Paragon once because all hotels were booked due to the Taos Fiestas. This place was in the shadow of the Hotel Hacienda ( a establishment which now is “Boarded up” and shut down, due to the deplorable conditions…this place was a major crack house apartment).
Front girl at Paragon was really acting like she didn’t want to be there and rude at the same time. People smoking pot and drinking in the parking lot… the place was falling apart! No wonder it was in foreclosure!
What if person by the name of Mr. Patel from India bought this hotel and made the same request to all Paragon employees..would he suffer the same bull as the white-boy from Texas’s is????
I bet Paragon will improve the conditions for the customers satisfaction not employee satisfaction…

Speak English when you are near the boss. This should be no problem. Get over it. You live in AMERICA. In America predominantly the language is English. Get over it. If you cant get out. Go back to mexico or where ever you are from. And if you say you are from America, THEN SPEAK ENGLISH.

Being fired, filling out a new application and get rehired in a company that has been sold/or taken over is NOTHING new. I have been with 2 companies that have done that. 1 I was rehired, 1 I wasn’t. Get over it. That happens some times.

As far as the name change, I have seen it before. If they wear a name tag and their name is 48 charters long, yes, shorten it. I have seen it before. You can only fit so much on a tag. And in that interview NO WHERE did they give ANY reason to believe it was because they had mexican names.

You are here in America. Either adopt our culture, or get out and go back to your country. I for one hope you do.
