When your physician cares less about remembering your name than about making his or her daily quota of patients…

When American medicine comes to fully resemble Canadian, European and Australian medicine…

Here we are, nearly 145 years after the end of the Civil War, and a U.S. President — who, ironically, is also black — has just taken a huge stride towards reinstating slavery. If health care is a right, then that means that someone is obligated to provide it, whether they want to or not. Do you really want to be treated by a doctor with a gun — metaphorical or otherwise — to the back of his head?

Hey B. Holland……you might want to wait to celebrate on Obama making history happen. So far most of his history is based on him telling whopping lies and then making excuses when he doesn’t deliver. He claimed that a stimulus bill had to be passed ASAP to keep the unemployment rate from getting above 8%. Unemployment soared as high as 10% and as always there’s an excuse for every lie he tells. Well, we didn’t expect, OR we miscalulated, OR we expected, OR we didn’t think (obviously), etc. Although I’m libertarian, your comments “racist , homophobic , anti – American republican club” doesn’t prove any point. At least Boehner and others were trying to do what the majority of this country wanted and that was to knock down this bill. Not only for republicans but for democrats and independents that also thought it stunk. Repubs didn’t stand to gain anything from voting “no” other than doing what the majority wanted. Not so with the Dems. I believe Stupak just got some money to refurbish three airports, not to mention the other bribes to other holdouts. You do realize that the rest of the states have to pay for these incentives, or maybe you don’t. Can you not comprehend that there’s a problem when this was an unpopular bill with the majority of this country as well as some of the Dems. It has nothing to do with greed either but rather in trying to keep this country from sinking. When they start twisting arms and paying bribes, that’s a real good indication that it contains some serious crap. Where is the bribe money coming from, could it be from stimulus money that’s sitting in the cofers instead of going for what it was promised? Only in America can 500 plus politicians (minority) rule over a majority (people). Something’s wrong with that picture but I’m sure there will be a fix in November. American citizens voted them in and they can vote them out. Lastly, this bill had to be passed ASAP, however, it won’t go into affect for 3 or 4 years but that could be good because by then this garbage can be reversed. In the meantime, the increase in taxes are going to start immediately. You may say that you make less than what will be taxed but you will pay in some fashion. You’ll pay more for groceries and anything else that you buy because businesses will have to raise prices to offset their tax increases. Reality has a way of sneaking in and messing up your fantasy world.

They will add 15,000 new IRS employees to enforce the unconstitutionally mandated annual healthcare premium. I know a doctor in our town who is a Canadian citizen. I asked him about the Canadian health care system and he told me it is very good. I wondered why, if Canadian health care system is so great, why he has been practicing here in the US for over 20 years. I did not bother to ask him. I think I know the reason why.

Government confiscation of firearms would be difficult. We have a nifty organization here you may have heard about named the NRA. Millions of us belong to the NRA and we are very, very, serioius about our 2nd amendment rights.

If this bill is so great, how come ALL the Democrats did not vote for it? How come it was so tough to enlist the ones that did vote for it?

Do supporters of big government really think the politicians care more about the people than the people care for themselves? The United States is the best country on earth because it is different than the others – it is not perfect, just the best. People who say they don’t believe it threaten to leave, but they don’t. Why wouldn’t they when, according to them, so many places on earth are better? The answer is because they don’t believe it either.

Leaders from all over the world come to the United States for medical treatment when they cannot get it anywhere else. With the passing of this bill that may change. We may not have it to offer.
