Also remember the CBO’s “budget neutrailty” and “deficit reduction” proclamation is nothing but an accounting gimick. They scored this bill based on taking revenues in starting 2010, not handing out any benefits until 2014, and then they measured the cost delta in 2019.

Having to pass this Health Tax Bill at 1a.m. in the middle of a blizzard with less than 72 hours to read the damn thing and just a few days short of Christmas should tell ALL Americans how BAD a bill this is…. If the Democrats were really proud of this bill and thought Americans were in favor of it you can bet your last dollar they would have the vote on, at prime time since they think they’re making history…..They’ll make History allright, As the worst and most corupt and crooked bunch of politicians to ever have worked in the United States of America.

The lefties are too dumb to realize that this catastrophe of a bill will make the healthcare system so costly to everyone that the government will be the only choice. They are too arrogant to realize that the American people DO NOT WANT SOCIALISM so the Dems have to use this back door way to socialized medicine.

I’m a student at an extremely liberal college and let’s make something very clear, Obama and the Democrats right now are being looked down upon worse than Bush/Cheney ever were.

All year I’ve watch my peers fight harder and harder to defend Obama and the Pelosi-Reid Party, but this healthcare bill was the final straw.

Have to agree with Obama on one thing: Howard Dean is “off the rails” and has been for a loooooong time. YYYYEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

When you stand back and look at what’s happening with this Health Care bill you realize it is NOT about improving health care at all. This is ALL about the Democrats seeking to gain more of a “foothold” into the lives of American citizens. That’s why the Democrats have SHUT out the Republicans from negotiating a “bi-partisan” bill. That’s why Harry Reid is desperately trying to keep the American public (or anybody) from reading his humongous 2000+ page monstrosity – until the very last moment – when there won’t be time to either dissect it or to comprehend it fully. It’s NOT about “sanity” or “fiscal responsibility” or “driving down health care costs” at all! It is about a gigantic “power grab” by liberal Democrats to seize a whopping one sixth MORE of our total economy. Look at what Obama has done since being in office. He’s taken over Banks, Financial Institutions, Car Companies, he’s trying to keep Union workers from continuing with their secret balloting method, he’s trying to institute Cap & TAX and give away hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to foreign countries to fight non-existent Global Warming, and now he wants to take over our Country’s Health Care System; along with his liberal cohorts in Congress who seem moon struck by him while Obama continues to pull Congress’ purse strings (and puppet strings as well) and promises them anything and everything they want just so long as they give Obama his ultimate dream of converting the United States of America into a Socialistic/Marxist entity and to keep his liberal Democratic cronies in office indefinitely. Let’s face it folks. The Democrats in Congress and this President HATE Republicans. And they HATE Independents. How do I know this? Because EVERY TIME the Republicans have sought to negotiate bipartisanship with this Administration and with Congress the Democrats have essentially “snubbed” the Republicans and/or the Independents and have shut them out of the process entirely. In some cases they try to buy members of Congress off. They bought off Joe Lieberman right? They gave Lieberman what he wanted i.e. they pacified him to get him on board this health care disaster in the making. By the way, I find it hard to believe that Joe Lieberman is so naive as to NOT see the “big picture” but stranger things have happened suffice it to say. The liberal Democrats even buy off their own ‘moderate’ party members with HUGE bonuses by giving them hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars just like they recently did with Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. And by all accounts these are illegal “bribes” by attempting to sway a politicians vote to their own side. But will Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi or other liberal Democrats involved in perpetuating these “bribes” be tried for their crimes?? Hardly.. since as we all know the Attorney General of the U.S. is none other than Barack Obama’s longtime friend and comrade in arms the infamous Eric Holder. Holder is in the Dems pocket and he’s part of the overall problem so it is my guess he would in NO way try to prosecute his fellow liberal cohorts in Congress who have committed these crimes of bribery. >> Corruption in Government at its finest suffice it to say.. and as long as these lunatics in charge stay in office America will keep descending into insolvency and going to hell in a hand basket in my opinion. 1) If the democrats had “full control”, then we would have a single payer public option now. We would have had it in August. We know that’s what they want. Anyone with access to a search engine can find many of the democrats – including Pelosi and Obama – expressing the desire for single payer. They DON’T have full control, and that’s why we have the so called “compromise”.

2) The constituency is solid against anything to do with more government intervention into the healthcare system. The democrats are fearing for their political lives. The so-called “blue dogs” appear to be using this tag to milk additional federal entitlements for their state – which in their mind gives them more leverage during the 2010 elections. What are the called “blue-dogs” are simply those democrats that are vulnerable in 2010.

So district5, your analysis is a bit on the thin side. The United States is not governed using mob-rule, yet. It is a representative republic. There was sufficient political pressure from taxpayers to defeat the various incarnations of healthcare reform up until now….so much so that your simple logic of “full control by the democrats” only went so far.

But this is the so-called camels nose in the tent. Once he’s poked it in there, it will be impossible to roll it back. The democrats knew this. This is why they have been meeting in secret and milking the tax payers UP FRONT to pay-off the blue dogs.
