Does any of these clowns think that all those that signed the Declaration of Independence/Constitution didn’t read it before signing it? I think it was almost a mandate that they read it and understand what was in it before they did.

Here is a real simple concept: If you haven’t personaly read it, and don’t understand it, it shall not be passed, PERIOD! It is their job to understand every single bit of every law they write and pass, that way they can adequatly explain the laws to their consituants as well as the reasons why they want to vote for or against it. If they don’t want to take the time to do their jobs and do them right, FIRE THEM!!!!

Question. Is reading comprehension a requirement to be a senator? If not, I will run in my state. That was truly pitiful. So what I am hearing, is that if even they don’t understand it, tough luck for us? 99 bottles of senators on the wall…99 bottles of senators..

Liberals,and faux republicans are screwing the whole country up! This 3rd party thing is getting traction and independents, moderate democrats and disillusioned republicans are looking for a party that truly has this nations best interest first instead of political careers. I live around a lot of people that voted for obama and they are all having serious buyers remorse! And I’m surprised when I go into their houses they’re watching fox news and voicing their anger over obama’s reckless spending and screwed up priorities.

He hasn’t read it either, like Landreau from Louisiana, Baucus had his lawyers draft the freaking things and then explained to Baucus a thing or two about the bill. They’re all crooks and thieves, at our expense!

Have there ever been this many idiots running a country. The country is in chaos because congress is chaos. The economy, because congress chose to save wall street. The health care bill is being voted on, but no one has seen the bill. A president who tries to sell the bill, and he cannot. Yet, we were warned about his inexperience. God, help us all.

President Obama told ABC News’ Charles Gibson in an interview that if Congress does not pass health care legislation that will bring down costs, the federal government “will go bankrupt.”

The president laid out a dire scenario of what will happen if his health care reform effort fails.

If we don’t pass it, here’s the guarantee….your premiums will go up, your employers are going to load up more costs on you,” he said. “Potentially they’re going to drop your coverage, because they just can’t afford an increase of 25 percent, 30 percent in terms of the costs of providing health care to employees each and every year. ”

The president said that the costs of Medicare and Medicaid are on an “unsustainable” trajectory and if there is no action taken to bring them down, “the federal government will go bankrupt.”
“This actually provides us the best chance of starting to bend the cost curve on the government expenditures in Medicare and Medicaid,” Obama said.

Does he have any idea of the economic disaster he and his fellow Democrats are unleashing? Yet, he has the audacity to claim not passing it will cause the federal government to go bankrupt. Economic literacy – not something our brilliant president has. The government really won’t go “bankrupt.” It can just keep borrowing and spending and printing money. Besides, medical care costs are not going up 25-30% every year.
This might just be the stupidest thing Barack Obama has said yet.

One might wonder how spending at least $1.5 trillion over the next ten years is going to help keep the government solvent.

Are you kidding me!!!!! Did Baucus actually say very few senators would understand it, then I ask why is a bill written with such language that only the lawyers can read it.
Sounds like the biggest scam I have seen in a while and if any of us (none government) ran our companies like they run theirs, we would be out of business.
This is a joke and we need to send a message LOUD & CLEAR that this is our country and they work for US, not the corporations and we can do that by voting them out, left, right, independent,,,,,if you don’t work for US, then you don’t work.

I am beyond outrage. Does anyone remember the movie “Falling Down”starring Mike Douglas, about an unemployed engineer who went totally nuts with frustration. He just wants to get home to his daughter on her birthday. Unfortunately, nothing seems to be going right for him. First there’s the traffic jam, then the jerk Korean shopkeeper who “doesn’t give change”. He begins to break down and starts to fight back against the every day “injustices” he encounters on the journey home. Well that’s the mood millions of us in this country are rapidly approaching. If something doesn’t change pretty soon forget the tea parties, this country will explode in a rage not seen since the revolution.

“one of the major reasons obama wants this bill passed is so he has something to brag about at the state of the union address. as usual….its all about him and the hell with the rest of us”.

Remembering how narcissistic and inept the President is finally explains why there has been this horrendous push for a bill that there’s not even any time for the senators nor we the people to read and confer on before it is shoved down our throats and used to enslave ourselves, our children and our grandchildren to the government lead by the self-proclaimed messiah, Obama. My sympathies to the senators and their families for this terrible treatment of them and their families during what used to be considered America’s most holy times.

A few posts ago someone asked why Baucus isn’t in jail. The same reason Rangle (how quickly everyone forgets), Geitner, Sibileous, Dodd, Daschle.. I mean they control EVERYTHING. Including the MSM. They KNOW most people are far more engaged w/dancing with the stars, or Tiger’s perversities, and that even when we find out about their criminal activities they just have to wait it out for a couple of news cycles (now just a couple of days) and people will be on to the next salacious story. I’m hoping we are indeed waking up. Its too late to stop any damage until next November. Hopefully we can repeal some of this stuff. It IS doable.. look at Prohibition. And then we can hopefully put the criminals on trial for treason. It is clear we are dealing with anti-American politicians. I mean why doesn’t Nancy just come out and tell us to “eat cake”?
