‘He Is on the Ground’: Tiger Woods Neighbor Calls 911

Tiger Woods Statement: This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

I can understand why Tiger Woods is protecting his wife. Thank God though that she didn’t kill him. That would have been a tragic ending for Tiger.

RightWingInc   November 29th, 2009 - 3:24 pm

His wife must have hit him pretty hard with that golf club!

It’s funny how much of the message is censored.

Sturgis Drain   November 29th, 2009 - 3:32 pm

Um..was the guy on drugs who was calling 911? Is this a subdivision of rich athletes?

JR   November 29th, 2009 - 3:33 pm

Understandably he wants to keep this a private matter, there are millions of dollars at stake in future product endorsements. Unfortunately, the price of fame is that you no longer have a private life. Tiger, you had a good ride. Perhaps you can parlay this into some MTV reality T.V. show?

Dave   November 29th, 2009 - 3:33 pm

Tiger has always been a stand up guy, so I will take him at his word.

God Bless you and your family Mr. Woods and have a speedy recovery!

if   November 29th, 2009 - 3:38 pm

Fox News, lay off the TW stories and the 2 ding-a-lings that crashed the WH party, I think Americans want to know more about the ACORN mess and the Climate Gate scandal. What about the meager 9000 troop surge in february, And the major shaft this addministration is giving to this Nation. Stick to real news please.

WilsonSpaulding   November 29th, 2009 - 3:44 pm

Doe Tiger Woods really think he can supress what happened here? Good luck with that!

Fat Gandhi   November 29th, 2009 - 3:47 pm

OK. You screwed up. Me too.

Move along media. Nothing to see here.

beau   November 29th, 2009 - 3:49 pm

Tiger welcome to the BOYS club!!!!

Garr Obo   November 29th, 2009 - 3:54 pm

Man, I wouldn’t want some of the stuff I’ve done to go public. Poor bastard has to put up with the ever-present bottom-feeders they call the media and a bunch of dumb-asses making stupid comments on websites like this. Good luck Tiger and your BarbieDoll wife.

JaneLovesJesus   November 29th, 2009 - 3:56 pm

It appears he acted inappropriately and his wife took care of business.

I say give them their privacy and move along.

Elephant Man   November 29th, 2009 - 3:56 pm

Anybody else would have been taken to jail immediately for domestic violence no and ifs buts about it. Why is his wife not arrested since it has been determined that she caused his injuries?

Stacey   November 29th, 2009 - 4:01 pm

Jeez, how friggin long does it take to get help there?

Momma beat daddy up last night!

jim   November 29th, 2009 - 4:02 pm

Now whenever they say Tiger is on the green, I’m going to wonder if he’s had an accident. But seriously, this shouldn’t distract from other events going on that are far more important – like the exposure of the global warming hoax.

Mahmoud V. Singh   November 29th, 2009 - 4:02 pm

Oh, Eldrick, hast thou fallen?
Thine lips, e’er so plump, now batter’d and bruis’d…
By the four-iron wielded by Elin.

chas holman   November 29th, 2009 - 4:04 pm

I usually have very little empathy for these celebrity types who get exposure from using such bad form.

In this case, although I care less about Golf, the man comes out and admitted he was being a goof and regrets it.. that kind of thing happens.. accepting responsibility.. full responsibility goes a long way, and that is what he has done.

(even if his wife only delivered a TKO instead of the KO it seems she may of been going for..*L*)

tyler   November 29th, 2009 - 4:06 pm

Fox news is a laughing stock. How many times do you people have to be decieved by this entertainment network? To hear fixed news called a conservative channel just shows how pathetic the tv industry is. I am a staunch conservative who despises that pathetic station. I really really hate fox news even more than liberal democrats.

cash back real estate   November 29th, 2009 - 4:11 pm

glad everyone is OK..

Ricardo   November 29th, 2009 - 4:13 pm

Wow! This neighbor is definitely an idiot! I mean … listen to this idiot! Is he on drugs? How can you not relay to the dispatcher if the person is breathing or not. Go over and look! I mean, if dumb were snow, this neighbor would be a blizzard! How stupid can you get?

Muggins   November 29th, 2009 - 4:18 pm

The lesson to be learned here is that if you ever get beat up by your wife, drive your car over a fire hydrant and into your neighbors tree—–leave the scene. When the police try to contact you, just tell them you can’t be bothered to talk to them. As in this case, I’m sure the police will immediately assume there was no alcohol involved and will cut you as much slack as you need before talking to them.

claspur   November 29th, 2009 - 4:24 pm

A private matter? This chit is public. What happened Tigger, and who did you vote for, btw… ?
My bet is His wife is getting antsy for the money, and way-over tired of His little peener. (inter-racial marriages are alway pure chit)

( I really don’t care about this whole thing… it’s smokescreen…… FARK news to cover things that are happening behind our backs )

pepito cojones   November 29th, 2009 - 4:25 pm

Yo,Tyler, please take your medication. You’re in desperate need of it. This is a 911 tape played back for all the media to report on, you doofus!

Terry   November 29th, 2009 - 4:26 pm

tyler – well said. Faux News. Their primary goal is to be a mouthpiece for that foreign welfare state of a country that murdered Americans on the USS Liberty and committed false flag terrorism against Americans in the Lavon Affair. FAR from conservative. Conservatives are patriots, not Z1on1sts.

Terry   November 29th, 2009 - 4:28 pm

Great summary, Muggins!

Jezzika   November 29th, 2009 - 4:30 pm

Dear Tiger,

We are so glad that you are OK and hope that the News Vultures
will give you the privacy and respect that you desire and deserve.

They do not OWN you.

Tell the world to Go Away.

Ya got that, Media Whores?

STUFF HAPPENS. LEAVE THEM ALONE.

Tuffy   November 29th, 2009 - 4:33 pm

Wait…..there’s no mention of his WIFE being at the scene while this guy’s talking. I thought she supposedly “rescued” him by knocking out his back window???

jack   November 29th, 2009 - 4:39 pm

Who cares. I drove a rental van into the back of a tractor trailer in a parking lot and tore the right corner panel back like a tuna can lid.
I wasn’t drinking or on drugs I was just being careless knowing the van was completely covered and I was kind of being a little daredevilish.

I can see it now if it were Tiger. Wife tears after Tiger with family van. Tiger jumps out of the way in the last second.

WHo cares and what f’ing business is it of any of yours anyways.

You all are so skeptical. He probably wanted to go for a cruise and get out of the house. Have you ever wanted to do that? Wonder, you think he is like everyone else? Yup! He is just very good at golf dumb asses. He is exactly like you and I. He wanted to take a cruise. Or he had a fight with his wife and stormed out of the house like hundreds of thousands of other people every year. IN most communities the cops would not have been called and the person would have just called their insurance company the next day.

You people are so nozy that I bet you are not capable of forgetting about this completely and not trying to find out anymore about it. That is actually more sick or insane then anything Tiger will ever do.

Johnny Constitution   November 29th, 2009 - 4:41 pm

Tyler,

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for the depth and beauty of your post at 4:06. It isn’t every day I come across such insightful, fact-based commentary; when I do I like to take the time to highlight it for others to see.

I think we can all learn from your efforts. In a story entirely about Tiger Woods and his “driving” habits, you, a lone media watchdog howling in the night, felt compelled to interject vital, but seemingly irrelevant, information into the conversation. I do not know how we got on without your illuminating commentary on Fox News. Indeed, I wonder how long it will be before they simply board up shop, as that can be the only logical response to the facts as you have just laid bare.

It is commentary like yours that raises the level of conversation for all involved, and for that we are not just grateful, but humbled.

Thank you for your societal contribution. Your words of wisdom will be with me for years to come.

Sandy   November 29th, 2009 - 4:47 pm

I know exactly how the police should handle this!!!!

‘Mail’ him the ticket!! That’s right, rather than wasting any more time on this, just mail him the d**n ticket!! He will have to write out that check for $75 bucks and mail it back within 90 days! Then, we can all go on and continue living knowing that justice was finally done in this case…

Tiger can also sell that crappy bent up Cadillac on E-bay and use the money to fix the hydrant, pay the neighbors gardener to fix up the lawn, and then go buy a couple of Mercedes with the money left over.

Initially, this was all interesting because we thought he might really be hurt. But now it’s all just getting stupid…

John Litton   November 29th, 2009 - 4:49 pm

Amazing that he is using his celebrity to avoid (now) a third attempt by FHP to be interviewed.

To those who say that “since he has always been solid” they’ll simply accept what he says … get real. No one is above the law!

If any citizen without such status were to try this, they’d be arrested and hauled to jail.

End this insanity! A statement posted on his website is not sufficient. This is NOT a private manner. Come on Governor Crist, do your job and see that justice is done.

Jim Malmstrom   November 29th, 2009 - 4:50 pm

Pissed that he’s screwing around her, she whacks him as he’s leaving. He’s fleeing a raging woman and she uses the club on him. Dazed and bleeding, he continues to try and flee – she slams the rear window as he’s pulling away. The “courageous” assistance on her part is a lie.

Big trouble for her but, because his philandering was the root cause, he’s stuck with having to stand by this phoney story.

rayg   November 29th, 2009 - 5:00 pm

I think elin was giving tiger a golf lesson and he decided to run cause elin got a little to carried away with her club and tiger fearing for his life decided to run cause if he got caught it might mean he would have to forfit some of his hundreds of milllions and god knows he don’t have enough already cause you know how much it costs to take care of a wife and a lover and the kids and all specially when you are as famous as he is and cause everybody knows hes close to be in down to his last billion…god how that money dissapears when your having fun…now i don’t know bout that woman he possedly been playin wit but she a hot looker but she aint blond….what is tiger thinking…it would be kewl if she could be tigers caddy and all and then when he hits a ball into the woods so to speak he might be able to get a quickie and save himself some grief. i dont know which head he is usin but hes only human sometimes.

Gary   November 29th, 2009 - 5:06 pm

Eh. Way to man up and take care of your house. Whatever happened there is his business, not mine. As a society, we crossed some line where we feel that celebrity must come with transparency and the entire concept of “none of your business” died a slow, quiet death.

This is an example of how you handle something personal and private and keep it that way. You own it. Most celebrities who go out of their way to hang their laundry in public would do well to pay attention.

JoeS   November 29th, 2009 - 5:08 pm

Tyler,
You must have your head up your butt. You are a liberal lying democrat. Fox News is the only news channel that gives both sides of a story. You will never hear anything about the global warming scam on any of the msm channels. All of the msm (abc, cbs, nbc, cnn, msnbc, etc.) are trying their best to make the USA a socialist country.

bruce   November 29th, 2009 - 5:09 pm

Tyler your a joke and a closet liberal

lauren   November 29th, 2009 - 5:15 pm

one thing i know is i would not want this idiot to be my neighbor. i would move if i was tiger

Anthony   November 29th, 2009 - 5:15 pm

Tyler, you have problems. No non Celebrity would have ever been allowed to wait three days to have a Police interview after an accident. Tiger gets special treatment…of course.

nunya bizness   November 29th, 2009 - 5:18 pm

We don’t believe this message. It is censored. It is false.

TEAM TIGER … Don’t let the crockpots bring you down.

irondog   November 29th, 2009 - 5:19 pm

Tiger is lucky he is famous, he was on pain-killers and that’s a DUI,must be nice…not to get piss tested at the hospital……………..his wife had a golf club at the neighbors house?sure she did…then pulled him from the rear window to the street,,,sure she did

Out-of-the-Woods   November 29th, 2009 - 5:23 pm

I wonder what club Tiger’s wife used to cause those cuts + lacerations? Wood? Iron?

Given the couple’s ethnic composition….can this event be considered a hate crime?

Where was Mr. Wood’s heading at 2:30 in the morning? 7/11 for coffee?

Does his wife now qualify as a “scratch” golfer?

Bob   November 29th, 2009 - 5:28 pm

This caller is pretty stupid.

James   November 29th, 2009 - 5:29 pm

This is what happens when you marry for money and looks rather than love.

Tim   November 29th, 2009 - 5:31 pm

Rich guy has a bad phone.

Randal   November 29th, 2009 - 5:37 pm

“This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way”
Kinda arrogant demanding privacy like that. The dude seems to think he can control the media, as he has done successfully for some time and enjoyed a level of protected privacy that not may others are able to pull off. An inflated ego will do that to a guy. You wanted the fame and fortune, man, now ya gotta live with it.
Cheating… domestic violence… drugs… car accidents… Tiger just another celebrity after all…

retiredat44   November 29th, 2009 - 5:37 pm

I get so f## sick and tired of celebrites and rich getting favorable treatment,, if it were any average person they would be in jail, or getting jerked by police..

Dale   November 29th, 2009 - 5:39 pm

Fore!

JP   November 29th, 2009 - 5:39 pm

The caller on 911 sounds like a wacko!

jilliangood   November 29th, 2009 - 5:42 pm

what is his real name? Not Tiger, surely.

Donk   November 29th, 2009 - 5:47 pm

Too bad she did not take him out with the golf club; when are these macho stars going to start to set a better example for our youth.

Tiger should have a couple of sessions with Bill Cosby

taken   November 29th, 2009 - 5:54 pm

1. I would like to see everyone treated alike by the law. If this turns out to be domestic violence,
and the authorities follow the law, someone will receive a summons afterwards. No one has to talk to
the cops now, they can talk in court. That is, if the law is followed as it is written for ALL. They can
tell much by the “crime scene”, car, broken window, location, damages to person, etc. I think they might be
allowing the parties to “explain” what happened in their own words before they send summons, like they
will if parties do no cooperate with investigation.

2. If this is what it looks like to me and others, I hope someone gets counseling so it does not
escalate and someone really, really is harmed.

Let’s hope they get the same treatment as all the rest of us and those who are involved in
domestic violence disputes. Yeah, it would be nice when the cops came to one’s home after
a fight, if one just said: uh, it’s not convenient and this is a private matter. That doesn’t fly
people. Not at all. Someone gets cuffed or they get a summons later.

Jay   November 29th, 2009 - 5:59 pm

another example of the how the law does not apply to the rich and famous.
assault and battery charges against his spouse is a mandatory arrest.
anyone else would have been arrested immediately. furthermore, there is
third party property damage(another crime) and a driver who admits he was
taking pain medication at the time he was operating his SUV (illegal also).
i’ll bet there was no field sobriety test or urine sample taken either. if this
happened to anyone else, they would have been arrested facing multiple charges.
now, mr. woods gets three days to consult with his attorneys and
round table to conjure up a believable story before he talks to the police.
he and his wife will walk. money talks. what a crock of B.S.

Fang   November 29th, 2009 - 6:03 pm

FOUR cops are ambushed and murdered today in Washington State and this Tiger Woods nonsense is still all over the place. Just go to the ABC “NEWS” website and you will see that TIGER WOODS is the LEAD story. Enough said.

Josh   November 29th, 2009 - 6:04 pm

I find it suspicious that when it comes to famous people there is always a problem with telecommunication equipment..

Fang   November 29th, 2009 - 6:06 pm

Sorry…my previous post said “cops”. I apologize. I should of said Police Officers. Peace to them and their families.

Sai Chai   November 29th, 2009 - 6:06 pm

What is laughable (even though the incident is tragic in a lot of ways) is that the mainline media immediately flashed the implausible story that he had a “serious” life-threatening accident in a BIG SUV going less than 20 mph just out of his driveway, that he was in such serious distress that he was going in and out of consciousness, had facial lacerations, that his SUV just happened to have gouges from golf clubs, and that his “courageous” wife had to extricate him from the “serious” accident by clubbing out the windows of the vehicle. Come on… Poor “mainline” media types. They remain convinced that Americans cannot see what is right in front of their faces and is obvious.

It is also reassuring to know that we don’t HAVE to talk to police officers if we just don’t want to. Of course that goes for ALL of us, right?!?!? Uh-huh…

Rebecca   November 29th, 2009 - 6:11 pm

Why is this news? Aside from Tiger being OK, it should be dropped. I guess voyeurism is now considered news. I only clicked on this non-story to make this statement. Dear News organizations and everyone who wants to know all the details: Once we hear that Tiger is OK, everybody, GET A LIFE!

John Wayne Bobbitt   November 29th, 2009 - 6:15 pm

It’s a good thing she didn’t take his putter!

Rubicon Cross   November 29th, 2009 - 6:17 pm

The neighbor next door only proves that just because you’re rich doesn’t mean you have to be smart. Have you ever heard a more retarded 911 call than this guys? Sounds like someone just informed him of the invention of the telephone…

momatolya   November 29th, 2009 - 6:17 pm

So where, during this 911 call, was his courageous wife? Did she “rescue” him and leave the scene? Is the neighbor fumbling for words because he’s being confronted by an angry woman with a golf club? This is just so weird, but really we probably should just leave them alone and let them try to patch up their relationship. That’s what the rest of us would want the world to do.

Andrew   November 29th, 2009 - 6:21 pm

The real story here is the idiot neighbor. Either he has a very low IQ or he’s on drugs. He cannot even form a coherent sentence. What kind of a neighborhood is this, anyway?

TO REBECCA   November 29th, 2009 - 6:27 pm

To the poster named Rebecca:

This is a story because there may be domestic violence involved in the marriage of a very public celebrity. If this is true, then a crime has been committed. If a crime has been committed, then the plot thickens because Tiger refuses to talk to the police, who have knocked at his door three times trying to talk to him. Which makes one think he is covering for/protecting his golf club weilding wife from going to jail!!

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS, BIMBO?

ss   November 29th, 2009 - 6:37 pm

Tiger,
I don’t care if you screw around. Anyone that’s been there knows about what you’re going through. But it’s a little like missing a two foot gimmey put. If you miss one, no one will you even an inch again.

Jim   November 29th, 2009 - 6:39 pm

When you marry for looks and money, this is what happens. She’s gorgeous and he’s loaded but my guess is the core of their marriage is very superficial. Instead of honoring each other and being there for each other, they fought. After a while, you get used to the looks and the money and when the dust settles, you have two people that really shouldn’t be together.

mattigal   November 29th, 2009 - 6:44 pm

This became public information the minute he hit the fire hydrant … the fire hydrant is public property, as is the road he was going to drive on when leaving his home … the FHP has every right to interview him and they should … as a tax payer in Florida I insist they get to the bottom of this and impose any and all fines deserved … however it is a little late to be testing for DWI? And we tax payers should not have to repair any damages caused by Tiger!

Grandma   November 29th, 2009 - 6:46 pm

If the media would go after Barry for the truth like they are Tiger, we may be able to get Barry out of our lives!

MSM….. focus on exposing your buddy Barry for the thief, liar, and fraud that he is.

By the way legally Tiger doe not have to give an interview.

Patrick   November 29th, 2009 - 6:49 pm

What kind of neighborhood does Tiger live in? His neighbor sounds like an idiot. Probably some thug football or basketball player.

Dooley   November 29th, 2009 - 7:04 pm

Circumstantial evidence indicates domestic violence. Seems to me like she should be hauled off
in handcuffs pending charges ranging from assault and battery to ADW (assault with a deadly weapon).
But wait…according to the femi-nazi sisterhood, only men commit acts of domestic violence.

Fra nk   November 29th, 2009 - 7:39 pm

Tiger got busted cheating, she lashed out and beat his face and she hit the Escalade with a golf club while he tried to escape her beatings…

BDL   November 29th, 2009 - 7:50 pm

A nice neighborhood, with a not so nice cell phone service. Whoever TG and his neighbors use as cell phone provider suck.

Lynn   November 29th, 2009 - 7:50 pm

Anthony,
This accident was on private property. No one else was involved in the accident. I can understand if his wife was upset over an affair. Just leave them alone. They have two kids and it isn’t anyone’s business. I hope that if it was a confrontation with his wife, that they can work it out.

Jim   November 29th, 2009 - 7:56 pm

Tiger Woods – Battered husband.

My question is did she beat him with an Iron or a wood? lol

BILL of rights   November 29th, 2009 - 7:57 pm

Tiger who?

Arnie   November 29th, 2009 - 7:58 pm

Hey Lynn, did you really say you could understand if his wife was upset about an affair?

So, you’re already assuming he’s having an affair and even though she hit him she’s the victim?

Wow. you’re pretty stupid and a perfect example of whats wrong with our country today.

Thor   November 29th, 2009 - 8:05 pm

This is a joke. Tiger is now hiding from the law like every other athlete/celebrity. He’s obviously letting his lawyers call the shots and that’s terrible. The cops need to advise him that if he continues to evade them, charges will be leveled at the wife who obviously attacked him. Please, don’t anybody respond to this by saying “how do you know”. Look at all the information so far and it is obvious.

Steve   November 29th, 2009 - 8:10 pm

We need more details. For example, what is the correct club selection for the car window of a Cadillac SUV?

Peter Bonerz   November 29th, 2009 - 8:13 pm

A McBlack EscelMcLade! LOL Whyte Beeotch put the correction up on they color. Let’s not try to dress this pity doll in a party dress LOL

JenC   November 29th, 2009 - 8:19 pm

Since there was nobody else hurt, it’s a private matter.
People have problems sometimes. Tiger Woods has been a stand up guy and good role model. So they may have some marital problems.
Let them work it out.
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

james   November 29th, 2009 - 8:20 pm

You think tiger woods would of have “On Star”

http://bit.ly/39oJo

roger   November 29th, 2009 - 8:20 pm

I agree with the people that say to leave tiger and the other over paid pop culture people alone!!! to bad our president lets mtv in the whitehouse and ophra for the white house christmas dinner., but tiger is a self made golfer and his dad taught him good. His dad tought him how to rise, but if you follow him and his dad, his dad didnt teach him how to fall. Kind of intresting, I remember a few of my buddies from the teen tour in so. callifornia that did coke with him…..
I do hope the best for him and his family, but no one should be so rich for playing golf… Or having a dumb arse talk show like the felon Martha Stewart or Ophra.
And Obama.

Jimmy   November 29th, 2009 - 8:27 pm

It is not a private matter if Elin struck Tiger or used the clubs with intent to harm Tiger. This doesn’t have to be the nation’s pasttime unless the Wood’s have been treated differently than anyone else by the police. If Elin did strike Tiger she should be charged with domestic violence the same as any other person would be. And for that I believe the police have reason to investigate further because what’s been submitted doesn’t seem to match the evidence as it’s been reported.

Like it or not this story is around for a long time. It will be amazing if a reporter isn’t knocked to the ground this week in Thousand Oaks for asking the wrong question at the wrong time. That question is going to be asked over and over and over and over and over and over and over

Bernardo   November 29th, 2009 - 8:33 pm

Patrick,

It is Thanksgiving night. You just had a huge meal. Maybe some wine. You are asleep at home in your gated community. You are suddenly awakened at 2:30am by an SUV slamming into a fire hydrant and tree on your property. You look outside to find your world-famous neighbor on the ground and his frantic wife hovering over him. Broken glass on the ground. You call 911 and people are talking to you in the background.
Do you think perhaps – and stay with me here – that under that scenario you might, MAAAYBE, just be a bit distracted and disoriented? Or would YOU be completely lucid?

Add to that scenario that people in multi-million dollar homes are more likely to be “older” than “thug athletes”

Terry   November 29th, 2009 - 8:33 pm

Steve – an Afro-wedge

Mark   November 29th, 2009 - 8:39 pm

Good point Steve. Also, what was the wind speed and direction that night?

Skinner   November 29th, 2009 - 8:53 pm

What do Tiger Woods and baby seals have in common?

They both get clubbed by Scandinavians.

Skinner   November 29th, 2009 - 8:57 pm

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Hydrant.

Skinner   November 29th, 2009 - 8:58 pm

Tiger Woods was in a car accident. Apparently it was his shortest drive since an errant tee shot at the US Open.

Maxwells   November 29th, 2009 - 9:14 pm

Yeah, lets leave Tiger alone, stop reporting on this, stop wasting time on this crap and get to real news….

So what are “we” all doing here?

Steve   November 29th, 2009 - 9:15 pm

I think if she had chosen a club with a little less loft the SUV would have missed the tree.

jimmy   November 29th, 2009 - 9:39 pm

Wow the hydrant is on one side of the street and the tree on the other; windows on both sides of the vehicle broken; I’m thinking maybe there’s too much speculation about an argument before; maybe she caught him trying to sneak out to visit with his other girlfriend lol

leeeroy22   November 29th, 2009 - 10:06 pm

Looks like my brother on the phone is lookin for a payday. He just burned a big ol spliff dammmmmm what a buzzz killl… ohhhh the tiger woooooood!!!!

This abuse of Tiger by his wife will be small potatos compared to what’s coming out from the health insurance industry this week. The BlueCross premiums will be going up an average of 150% if health insurance reform is enacted (aka “ObamaCare”). Yes..150% folks!! Our company just got word of this over the weekend. Welcome back to the real world of higher premiums for health insurance and higher taxes to fund the growing Afghanistan war. It’s hard to believe that the very Democrats who wanted us out of Iraq so badly are now about to escalate our number of American deaths in Afghanistan. It’s insane!

YouGottaBeKidding   November 30th, 2009 - 12:04 am

“Let’s move along?” Hmm, seems like a different standard of “justice” for the
rich and famous and another one for everybody else. Now, lemme see, It’s after 2 in the morning when I get in an
argument with my wife and she chases me out of the house, swinging a golf club at
my head (irony not lost about golf club being used). I hop into my car, she smashes it with the golf club, and I floor it
to get away from the crazy broad. I become distracted while heading down the
driveway and I smash into a fire hydrant and then my neighbor’s tree, doing
serious damage to my car and some to myself, which renders me unconcious. After this, I don’t have to talk
to the cops because my lawyer says so. Ok, so far so good. Now here I am, the real me, having received three
visits from the cops over the past few months. One was because a neighbor
complained about a very small fire in the fire ring out back. Police Report inconclusive and
neighbor admonishes cops not to tell me he called them. They don’t. Two was same neighbor
calling Fire Dept. over same “problem.” Fire Dept. Report inconclusive but I must face 4 firemen in a fire truck giving me a lecture about not burning even a small amount of cardboard (two
six pack containers for bottled beer). What a waste of city funds. Then neighbor goes
to justice court and gets an injunction against me for “harassment.” Judge cooperates without seeing either report or any corroborating evidence whatsoever. Suddenly I’m an official “Defendant” (read Enemy of the State) once again. Neighbor
never even bothered to tell me he didn’t like our occasional small fire. Three
was WalMart calling cops about crank caller who claimed she forgot her small child at the store. WalMart locked down the store, cops inversed phone number left by
crank caller and come to our house with guns almost drawn because inversed
number was “similar” to our onw phone number. No apology tendered. But Tiger Woods acts out with his
wife and it’s A-ok. He doesn’t even have to talk to the cops. What a country!

She get what she asked for…Stupid white woman.

Ace Tomato   November 30th, 2009 - 12:41 am

This is such a goofy story. I think it is interesting because of the sketchy explanation. If the report actually came out that Tiger’s wife whacked him with a golf club and he wrecked the SUV trying to not get a club to the head, that would have been a story for a day and over. It’s the unbelievable story about his wife hauling him over two back seats and broken glass out the back window and the triple dodge of the police interview that make this a story.

Someone needs to ’splain to Tiger that if you want a story to go away, creating confusion and mystery around it is not the best strategy.

I’m not a busy body, but I know what happened.. I’m Tiger’s neighbor. I heard a ruckus and saw TW’s garage door fly open. Mrs. Woods was screaming, “I’ll knock your balls into the next universe!” as TW jumped into the car. She broke out the back window with a club as he peeled out and that’s when he lost control and crashed. She drug him out of the car and beat the sheet right out of him with the club and that’s why he was unconscious when the cops arrived. They x-rayed TW at the hospital and found a 9 iron lodged in his azz too. After things settled down I went next door and talked to Mrs Woods. She said they were both up late because she was washing and kissing his balls for luck on the big tournament coming up and that they’ve never really had a fight so don’t nobody be worrying. And that’s all she’s gonna be sayin about dat!

At 2:30 AM Tiger wanted to be the first one in line at the local Best Buy store to get himself one of those 50 $ GPS deals. He told his wife he needed one, because every time he backs the SUV out of the driveway he hits the freaking hydrant and bounces off the neighbours tree. His wife ran outside to give him a kiss good bye and hand him his favorite golf club to practice while waiting in line. Unfortunately it was dark and she tripped and accidentally dented and broke the back window of the car with the club. Tiger came out of the car to catch her, and while falling she accidentally scratched his face and kicked him in the nuts. He lost consciousness and you people are too nosy and don’t understand is not easy to drive a big car in the dark; you can’t tell the gas pedal from the break pedal. Instead of making up stories, just be charitable and contribute to: ‘GPS for Tiger’.

What do Tiger Woods and baby seals have in common?

They both get clubbed by Scandinavians.

Tim G   November 30th, 2009 - 4:48 am

I’d like to know what club she played. Obviously not a good driver.

Barry   November 30th, 2009 - 5:47 am

As far as I can tell this is what happened.

Something (probably an argument) made Woods jump into the SUV and drive off late at night. Being upset, he hits the hydrant and kisses the steering wheel on his mouth which knocks him silly. The SUV proceeds out of control until in comes to a rest on the tree. His wife gives chase in a golf cart and easily finds the wreak. The doors on the SUV are locked so she grabs a golf club from the cart and pops out a far window. She climbs in and gets to him. He probably tries to get out and walk around but simply goes down.

If she had hit him with a golf club he would be dead. That is just silly stuff. The basic stories all fit fine. There is not much mystery. The charge is driving without a seat belt and improper operation of a motor vehicle or whatever it is down there in Florida. Unless they confess, there is not much of a court case. Even if there were, the fines are trivial anyway. Insurance pays for everything and he has a good driving record otherwise so his rates will not be affected. He does not have to talk to the police if he does not want to. His attorney has already supplied all the information the police need regarding licenses, registration, and insurance. If the police want to do more, that is their problem, not his.

There seem to be people making malicious things up about this that Woods mentions. They might find themselves getting sued for that.

He’s got the great life, nice looking wife & kids, tons of money & fame and still he’s still immature. Isn’t it incredible seeing all of the apologists who want to run inference for eldrick in what is clearly an ugly instance of domestic violence? His swedish trophy wife is obviously a domestic abuser – and if she was a man there would be feminazis, vaginas and media types all over this story to the nth degree. She should go to jail, Eldrick should get the kids, and the media should be writing stories about how women are actually more likely than men to initiate violence against their spouses (which is exactly the case in America). To be honest, this ugly matter actually reminds me of the paul bernardo trial back in the 1990s (a case canadian murder case involving a serial sexual killer and sadist) insofar as vaginas or “reporterettes” in the toronto media actually tried to insinuate that bernardo’s wife, karla homolka, was really as much a victim as the under-age victims insofar as she was allegedly “compelled” and “forced” to participate in the tortures and killings by her husband; only later did we all discover that she was an enthusiastic participant who outwitted law enforcement and basically got away with murder (though its pretty easy to outwit the canadian authorities).

thank God for TMZ

@liz
“Somebody’s going to have to pay the city for the damaged fire hydrant.”

No. This fancy community Woods lives in is entirely under private ownership. This all happened on and to private property. In fact, depending on how it was all insured, the hydrant might be paid for under the subdivision’s insurance instead. However, they will probably just forget to bother Woods with the bill for the hydrant anyway since it just does not really matter. The only concern will be getting everything fixed, cleaned up, and all pretty pretty again as soon as possible so the rich folks do not see anything ugly in their little town.

It’s cool being rich!

Ron Cornelius   November 30th, 2009 - 12:54 pm

If I cheated on my wife, I’d probably deserve worse. It’s kind of funny, if taken from a woman’s point of view. No matter how fat our wallets, we’re still subject to the same rules as everyone else. A lesson from golf, and life: DON’T CHEAT!!!

Fox news is a laughing stock. How many times do you people have to be decieved by this entertainment network? To hear fixed news called a conservative channel just shows how pathetic the tv industry is. I am a staunch conservative who despises that pathetic station. I really really hate fox news even more than liberal democrats.

You work for the Out House, I take it.

Plunkster   November 30th, 2009 - 1:05 pm

Did Elin yell “Fore” before swinging that 5 iron?

kyle   November 30th, 2009 - 1:17 pm

Hey I was a fly on the wall when this stuff went down. It’s hard to type so I’ll keep it short. The Mrs. caught tiger masturbating to Golf Magazine again and was upset because he didn’t service her for over a month. He would not stop so she hit him over the head with his favorite golf club. It’s poetic justice, end of story.

Eric forbriger   November 30th, 2009 - 1:24 pm

There is reasonable suspicion that Elin committed a crime even if Tiger remeins in hiding until the injuries heal. She must be charged. Let a jury sort it out. Elin needs a record even if it is obstruction of justiucein the event that she does it again.

Lidya   November 30th, 2009 - 1:26 pm

Tiger Woods’ serious car accident was so funny (guess wifey caught up with his lies). It was reported that Woods went for a drive after having a fight with wife Elin Nordegren over an alleged affair the golfer had with Rachel Uchitel prior to the accident. But what I’d really want to know, who exactly is Rachel Uchitel and is she Tiger Woods’ mistress??

Tyler   November 30th, 2009 - 1:50 pm

Oh Sorry, I got caught trying to make believe that I was a conservative and hated FOX News. Actually, I’m a Marxist and I worship at the greasy O’ring of Dear Leader, Obama. Please forgive me for my lame and silly attempt at liberal trickery.

Michael   November 30th, 2009 - 1:52 pm

The “private” matter became public once he got into his car and attempted to drive on a public road. It may have been a private, gated community; but, there is a lot of taxpayers’ dollars invested in it.

Reality Check   November 30th, 2009 - 2:52 pm

This is not about some golfer running over a fire hydrant and hitting a tree.

The main stream media is hyping this and the white couple who went to a party at the white house without an invitation to avoid covering:

1. Details of the “Quality Health Care being offered at an affordable Price” as defined in the “Health Care Reform” bills the Democrats propose to make law in the next week or three.

2. The details of a proposed “Cap and Trade” law being negotiated right now by Democrats in Washington DC the purpose of which is to raise energy prices so much on the cheaper, “bad” energy that the poor will no longer be able to drive or heat / cool their homes.

3. The fact that the Global Warming true Believers just had to admit they destroyed the actual temperature readings they are using to justify their theory of Global Warming. They do have all their “adjusted” temperature readings – which they ran through a series of calculations to improve the “quality” and “value” of the data – but no one can double check the validity of their ” qaulity improvements” or their “value improvements” now, because they destroyed the actual temperature readings. But trust them, they never lie, except in those few cases where they got caught when their e-mails were posted on the internet. But other than that they are completely honest and trustworthy.

Dennis   November 30th, 2009 - 3:05 pm

I guess the public can’t handle a celebrity telling them that this is a personal matter.

It’s too bad that all celebrities can’t keep from publically airing their personal problems.

I fully support Tiger Woods in this. It’s nobody elses business. He and his wife should be allowed to work out their own problems in private.
