So, this victory mosque is to be built as Cordoba Initiative/Project, apparently a not-so-thinly-veiled celebratory name (in reference to historical Cordoba Spain) in/of itself at 9/11Ground Zero coincidentally symbolically opening on 9/11 and if they can't build this mosque at this site, the radicals will attack us? And will condemn us for not building it? Excuse me, but we have ALREADY been attacked and repeatedly. They already continuously condemn us and refer to our nation as the great satan. They already want us dead or converted to Islam. They are already planning new attacks on us. Moderate Muslims have done very little to reign in and publicly be outspoken against such radical acts.
Building this mosque at this site follows a tradition of building mosques at historical victory sites.
This mosque will stop nothing but building it if using radical's funding and if encouraging radicals to attend will most certainly help fast track more Islamization in America such as what has occurred in Europe. Even Europe has figured this out, albeit a bit late. Take a good look at the video of the streets in France being illegally blocked by Muslim worshippers at the mosque there in a show of their numbers. Peace in Islam means either being entirely converted to Islam or becoming subordinate dhimmi living in their Theocracy under Sharia law.
While we are at it, I want to know what the heck our Federal Government is doing spending funds assisting in building this mosque when our Constitutional separation of church and State does not permit it? No ones holy book should be burned regardless the reasons behind it. Would you like it if what ever religion you believe in some burned the holy book of the religion? It is time America stop reacting to events abroad and start leading by example. I am with you on all the other points, especially number #4. Any attack on the United States or its Citizens should be met with all force possible and eliminated. Once the problem is eliminated the forces should be brought hone immediately. This would go a long ways to let the rest of the world know that it is better to be our friend then be our enemy.
