I think Leno showed what side of the aisle he was on tonight, he made his case for Obama as a leader, he seemed bothered by the cheering from the crowd for Glenn Beck, and when he came out, he called him “controversial” in addition to holding up his “angry” magazine cover…
Beck probably gave him his highest ratings of the month, he should have been happy…..HAP
The media is starting to come clear about who they follow and what their ideology is. Today, Chris Matthews came clean and said he was a liberal, no duh… So also did a few others. You also see the split that is growing between the media and the people. Most likely this is because the people are becoming more Conservative, while the media is becoming more liberal. Interesting how the world works and how the media is becoming the polarizing entity in this equation.

I love Glenn. He’s so real. It’s amazing how they always say controversial when it’s a conservative, but I seem to rarely hear that when it’s a progressive.
Yes Jay took the other side, hey it’s Hollywood & it’s no secret Jay is a liberal. But for the most part Jay was cordial.
Crowd seemed divided yet respectful. Controversial? Well Glenn does put a lot of people’s panties in a bunch, on both sides.
Glenn showed he was a regular guy and wasn’t this off the wall nut case that he is painted as.
If this ends up getting more folks to tune into his show, then Glenn succeeded. That interview will not hurt him in any way and it looks Glenn is getting more comfortable doing these kinds of shows.
Ratings? that is yet to be seen because it was Friday night when everybody (myself included) were out. So the ratings might not give a correct picture, one way or another.
Kudos to Glenn & Jay. I enjoyed it.
I just don’t like Jay Leno anymore. He’s become one of “them” now.
Jay’s OK. You gotta take him deeper than face value.
This was at least entertaining.
Jay likes cars, like cars. I like Beck.
I think Jay knows who he has to please. Not his fault. He can’t retool at this point.
He was mild – Beck was mild.
We’re not:

Glenn did great! I’ve been a fan of his for a couple years and this really showed his regular goofy side. He’s seems like such a nice guy, and you can tell how genuine he is, I bet he has a few more fans after this show. I won’t bash Leno though I disagree with him politically, he used to be the nicest talk show host and tries to keep it down the middle (at least more so than anyone else) so I guess that’s saying something, right? He’s also the only one that will have Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck on his show.
Good point “jason”, I hear ya.
You too “Puck 30″, I hear that too.
And “hotairpundit”, given what your saying, isn’t it amazing how less offensive Jay Leno’s show is compared to the others like meanspirited, curmudgeon David Letterman? And Leno’s a liberal …just goes to show ya.

Glenn, we love you. Merry Christmas. Looking forward to what you have planned for the new year.
By the way, we need a few specifics on that recipe.
LOVED this! I have never seen Glenn so relaxed. Thanks Jay for having him on!!! I’ll definitely see if there is a place on Jay’s site to thank him. Glenn…we need the recipe in writing! Please?
I thought the overall interview went ok, although it seems that Jay was under-prepared to delve into any of the subjects adequately. Obviously, anything outside the scope of comedy tends to leave Jay looking like a Wanna-be Intellectual, as he tends to fumble thru those subjects, barely sounding coherent. But adequate for his NBC audience I suppose.
Although I was surprised that Glenn did get quite alot of Audience support which tended to unhinge the Late Show Master, which I guess would explain why the back-up plan seems to be these Awkward cooking segments, that even Jay seems uncomfortable with. I guess Sugar cookies are more important than talking about the $105 Trillion Dollars of Unfunded Debt that we are dumping on our Kids & Grandkids!
Maybe Beck should lay off of the cookies for a while.
Maybe YOU should try to offer a more intelligent and relative response.
I like, enjoy and respect Glenn Beck and all he’s done… HOWEVER…
Jay Leno has a NATIONAL audience, mixed with liberals, moderates and conservatives, and Glenn MISSED a great opportunity to tell some real, hard hitting TRUTH to a lot of ignorant people who get their news and change their views based on what they see on late night tv.
Glenn- you could have reached (and perhaps swayed) a lot of people who will never watch you or listen to your radio show. It was cute, but sadly, a missed opportunity.
I thought Glen was great. I was glad he had supporters, but my regard for Jay dipped a bit when he launched into a infomerical promoting Obama. Glen handled it just fine. As for Obama putting himself through law school, what a joke!! He got a free ride from affirmative action, with the rest being picked up by a still undisclosed Saudi Arabian. Bush was much more of an “everyman” than elitist Obama, and without the socialist agenda.
Oh boy. Can’t wait for Glenn to mass produce the Chin Cookie and sell it on his show. Christmas Sweater, Arguing with Idiots, An Inconvenient Book…the list goes on and on. I forked our $125 last year to bring my family to see the Christmas Sweater, thinking it would be a great lesson in life for my kids…it sure was! His crying was fake, but mine was real…should have spent the money on food for the month!
Good interview.
Jay has a conditioned garage where he keeps about 100 fossil fuel burning classic cars.
Jay seems to forget that today’s liberal would love nothing better than to torch those cars of his.
I love the idea that Barack Obama came from poverty – brought up in Hawaii by his grandmother the bank DIRECTOR (the lady he threw under the bus, to divert attention from his Rev. Wright connection, by bringing up a BS story about her being a racist – whilst saying how much he “loved” her) and then off to Occidental, then Columbia, then Harvard, then the University of Chicago. Then the Illinois State Legislature (by getting every other Democrat, including the incumbent, struck off the ballet before the primary) then the United States Senate (by getting the Jack Ryan divorce claims unsealed)and getting more money per year from the banks and other such than any other Senator.
Yes a life of grinding poverty – it is a wonder he endured it. How can people possibly support a phony like Obama?
Glenn Beck has announced recently that he has been diagnosed with a condition called “macular dystrophy”.
