Mandating coverage of pre-existing conditions is one of the worst parts of the bill. Then nobody would ever have a need to buy insurance. They just get it when something bad happens. Hence the term "insurance".

im sorry i guess i should have worded it better im saying that if someone who is willing to pay for the isurance because they lost their job or lost their isurance for some reason or another and has preexisting condition should be able purchase insurance around the same rates. if you lose your insurance and your wife is pregnant you have to pay cash or pay unbelivable monthly rates because it is considered a preexisting condition, that seems a little ridiculous that insurerers are alowed to do this. im not saying any kind of mandate is good at all and people shouldnt be forced to buy anything they dont want.
