I think that a lot of the criticism that Obamacare has generated is a bunch of BS. HOWEVER, this workbook is absurd in the way that it is described. My husband is a veteran who uses the VA system, and so far we’re very happy with his level of care. If/when he is scheduled for such counseling, I’m certainly going to go with him. Nobody is going to persuade my husband that his life is not worth living.

Jason, thanks for the reference to Obama’s questionaire.
I believe that sitting down with Obama’s questionaire while one is in good health and leaving it as a direction for future action when one is sick, is a dangerous thing to do.
It’s one thing to be sitting down to a steak dinner and saying to yourself, “Well, self, if I’m ever in great relentless pain and discomfort I want the doctors to shut me down. I’m not going through that.”
But when it gets down to it pain will not trump the will to live. I’ve seen a couple of hard nosed, shut me downs, fighting to stay alive under horrific circumstances.
The socialists, with their questionaires, always think they’re brighter and better than real human beings.
This guy is spot on. There will not be a group who ruthlessly decides against the will of the patient, that the patient must die. No, the so called “Death Panel” will persuade the patient that the quality of their life is not worth continuing. Dr Kervorlian was sent to prision for this type of assisted suicide behavior, now assisted suicide could be legislated into American healthcare policies
