I will not allow anyone in my home to watch any other news; why bother when they only report half-truths, if there’s any truth reported at all.

The Obama White House has CNN fact-checking SNL sketches critical of Dear Leader, and MSNBC bathing them in a rich, soothing wash of worshipful spin 24/7–and all these crybabies can complain about is a hostile press!

Again, if Fox is so bad then explain all those lies…. Again go after the company/person but don’t rebute the facts :)

I’m a recent convert to Fox News, since Obama was elected. I got tired of all the softball press coverage from CNN. So this is how the new White House treats a news organization that dares to question them…

Fox can’t have its cake and eat it, too. If you want to broadcast propaganda, not to mention whatever you call Glenn Beck’s show, don’t expect goodwill from the White House. I think the liberal bias of the left has been countered by some on the right with blatant and brazen lies, disrespect, and misinformation. Fox, Drudge, talk radio, Brietbart…then there’s the insane WorldNetDaily…you’re all isolating conservatism by appealing tothe far rigth wingnuts. Preach to the choir all you want; that’s no way to win elections (though it’s great for ratings.)

It’s amazing that a news channel that reports the issues of the day without the leftist slant of the major networks is now being considered an “enemy” of the administration. This news blackout is a dangerous path to wander down and they may just be waking up the sleeping giant that is the conservative majority in the US. Keep it up and you’ll definitely lose the Whitehouse and Congress in the next major election and it really doesn’t matter who the Republicans put up against you.

Fox must be getting too close for comfort in a lot of areas. Not a good thing for the government to try to
silence the media. There are a lot of dark things going on in the administration and we need at least one
media outlet willing to uncover it.

Well at least 1 media outlet is calling the adminstration out. Many of us see what they along with the rest of the Dems are trying to shove down our throat. Sweeping changes & dirty tactics to get a healthcare bill among many other agenda items theough as quickly as they can. The writing is on the wall for the mid-terms & the Dems are going to lose big. They know this which is why they are slamming their agenda full throttle.

I travel in my job and you always find the TV sets in airports and hotel common areas all tuned to cnn, I have started complaining about it to management requesting changing to Fox News, most are relieved that someone finally told them to do it. Tell these people to get cnn off their airways, that you notice and take names, tell them maybe your business is not good enough for them if they won’t change the channel.

Who cares? We know what they’re up to and they are only going to lie
when asked.

I get my news from many sources. Having worked in television news, beginning in 1969 at PBS, I covered many stories in an honest and objective way. I find that the mainstream media, as some label it, do slant to the left. There are, many times, omissions of information which I can only attribute to that slant to the left. With what some refer to as talk radio, and with FOX News, I find that there is a slant to the right. However, that slant is not in news content, as much as it is in what they cover. They also seem to spend a great deal of air time, reporting on the omissions in stories covered by the so called mainstream media. Since I have an extensive news background, I do a great deal of “fact checking” on all of my news source choices. I have also found that with some sources for fact checking, I have to “fact check” their “fact checking”. The truth is out there, but you have to be willing to work for it. It also requires that you get your information from both left and right news sources. To dismiss one or the other, leaves you with only half of the story.

If a group of esteemed engineers in every field sat down and tried to figure out just how to bankrupt the United States of America and turn it into a third world, socialist nation, they couldn’t have done a better job than the Obama Administration is currently doing.

I like the fact that none of the FOX anchors have tingles running up and down their legs or have their 0-faces on whenever they give a report about our illustrious leader. Yes, some of Fox News is opinions but how much of those “opinion” shows are actually reporting hard news? We’ve learned about Acorn, SEIU, Van Jones and other CZARS, Valerie Jarrett, HR3200, Covering the Tea Parties with millions of American’s attending them and many other things through FOX that other networks are not reporting. All the other networks are doing fluff pieces and essentially lying to the American people by telling us things like “The stimulus is working”, “those who disagree with Obama are racist”, and not even covering hundreds of thousands who marched on D.C. in protest to the government spending more of our money…etc.

Keep up the good work FOX! And don’t give in to the pressure of the Obmama administration…keep going against the flow and bringing us the actual NEWS!

The truth offends and gets attacked when being presented. The WH is attacking those trying to speaking the truth – namely FoxNews (not everything they say is, but they report more of the corruption going on than other popular agencies). If you can silence you main opponent then you can go on doing whatever you wish.

It’s a shame that our government is resorting to these issues. They don’t agree with them so they do this….Fortunately, Fox News is more popular than any other news agency on cable and therefore reaches millions of viewers from both parties. The president doesn’t have to convince his cool-aid drinkers-he needs to convince those who disagree with him. He has been such a disappointment so far and honestly if half the stuff he believes in is passed, we are in a ton of trouble as a country…..

I stopped watching the other news programs when I became so apparent that the other news programs were expressing their opinion and calling it news.

Tanya. Your post reminded me of my biggest complaints with cable companies. They always place FOX News on what they call an “upper tier”. That means that people who can not afford a higher priced cable “package”, only get those news sources which are on basic cable. That would be new from CBS, NBC and ABC.

Why does the white house act as if they didn’t have enought support from the media when they have ABC,CBS,NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, CNN, NYT, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, LA Times working fro them and all the democrats? One little media cable compamy not in their pocket telling the truth often too balanced for me. They sound loke thin skined commies.

I question lies, untruths, total authority and dishonesty. I’m a true American. And on the left, obviously!

The risk for the White House is that FOX News tells it like it really is and this is why they are so effective against the liberal element of the Democratic Party (Obama). The actually make the president and his spokes people look bad because they can’t answer the questions that FOX presents without looking foolish. Obama wants to control the news. It worked during the campaign when he had a very liberal news media (NBC, CNN) in his pocket which helped him get those voters who didn’t really understand the issues, especially the youth vote. But now even they are realizing he may not be good for our country.

The irony that we find out about CNN’s attack on Fox, on Breitbart’s site…because nobody watches CNN. Neilsen reported that Fox News “Redeye” at 3AM gets more viewers than MSNBC does all day. LOL

I used to watch the state-run media – NBC in the 70’s and 80’s, then ABC exclusively in the 90’s. However, since 2000, I added Fox News to my news sources – ABC and Fox most of the time. As we got into the 2004 and 2008 elections, I noticed subtle shifts in ABC’s reporting and analysis. I found that many of the ABC reporters were deliberately trying to sabotage the Bush Administration. It was bad enough that the Democratic themes were indistinguishable from those of Al-Qaeda during the height of the Iraq War. But, that “cheerleaders for Osama” rhetoric was never challenged by the state run media, like ABC, is inexcusable in my opinion. Then, over the past 2-3 years, Bill O’Reilly began showing various independent studies showing that the media was moving further and further to the left. The key study he showed this past spring, I believe, was the media bias during October 2008, just prior to the election. The study addressed only one item: How much negative reporting against each candidate was shown by all of the media including Fox News. The results were jaw-dropping. For all except Fox News (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNBC, MCNBC), 20% of their stories were negative against Obama, and 80% negative against McCain. Whereas, for Fox News, the results were 40% negative for Obama and 40% negative for McCain – very even-handed coverage. If that isn’t blatant liberal bias and total disregard for the facts surrounding the issues, I don’t know what is. That is the time I shifted to Fox News exclusively. I only watch ABC once in the evening for local news. Otherwise, I tune into Fox News exclusively to know what is really going on in the world. And, I have found their analysis well-supported by facts and documented evidence, whereas the state run media use emotional arguments with an occasional irrelevant fact thrown in to “validate” their premise the vast majority of the time. I much prefer to hear BOTH sides of the issue and spirited debate with the best argument supported by the facts winning out in the end. There are always three sides to an issue: your side, my side, and the truth. Fox News is the only news organization that does that any more.

Tell a lie long enough and pretty soon people start to believe it. We must be on our constant guard against this tactic, ignore it, and use all other means to get to the truth.

See… he can get tough with his enemies….. to bad those enemies are Conservatives and not America’s enemies like: Aquavelvajad, Kim Jon il, Chavez, Castro, worlwide Communists, Islamo Fascists…..

Is there any entity they won’t polarize? Racial tension is up, there’s more acrimony between Dems and Repubs, Straits and Gays, Religious and Secular, etc. Not to mention the power that’s been handed to America’s enemies on a silver platter, while our nation’s strength is systematically diminished.

And rather than going on Fox News in order to decry their alleged ‘lies’ and ‘journalistic abuses’, they post gossip on their little blog like a clique of snotty high school girls. Or whine and spew venom with MSM-bots who will only agree with them. We want a good fight – they’re hiding behind the shrubs calling mommy for help.

These MSM and White House wieners won’t debate! They skew information to suit their agenda! They’ve been caught promoting blatant fraud and bias! They ignore stories that don’t flatter the left! They think Katie Couric, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow are journalists! They think Dubya was a monster, but adore Roman Polanski, Mumia Abu-Jamal, and Chavez [to name only three real monsters]! And now they’re crying because America is flipping the channel, and flipping the bird?

Why doesn’t FOX News have a nightly news broadcast on their regular network FOX channel (not the FOX cable channel)? If they did, they would destroy the viewerships of NBC, CBS and ABC who focus primarily on views from the left. We need balance in our network news. I had never watched Fox News until the White House starting critizing them, I tuned in to see what all the fuss is about and now I am a regular viewer.

Fox reported on the Van Jones debacle, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, and ABC waited until he resigned to say anything. Fox reported on the ACORN tapes while members of the other networks said they didn’t know anything about it. It’s no wonder the Progressives say Fox is lying and making up things. They only watch the Obama Love Network and that is what they are told. The Professor earlier commented that Fox has ratings but that don’t win elections. He’s right. So we need to get out with the info we hear on Fox, do our research on the matters and then go out and STAND UP. The Progressives do not do any research and only drink the kool aid served them from the other networks.

The real problem with MSM outlets other than Fox is that they are partisan, not ideological. If a Democrat says something it’s brilliant and right, regardless of what was said. If a Republican says something it’s foolish and wrong, regardless of what was said. That makes Fox’s competitors propaganda outlets, not news outlets that are biased to the left.

Fox itself is a conventional patriotic liberal media outlet, something Harry Truman or JFK would agree with. In the straight news shows on Fox you never hear anyone calling for a smaller government. (Straight news, not commentary shows, which are fairly right-wing partisan.) For example, you never hear Fox calling for an end to the Welfare State. There’s a simple explanation for that. It’s in the best interest of Fox employees to act this way.

Have you ever watched newsreels from the 1930s? (Thye used to show then on the History Channel.) The government is almost never mentioned on those newsreels- all the news is about the private sector. Nowadays the MSM only reports government activity, they almost never report on the private sector. (Outside of sports and entertainment.) More government means more opportunity for Fox employees. They are just playing to their own interests.

Of course, Fox outscores all the other MSM outlets combined with viewership (at least when a big news topic is at hand.) That’s because all the other news outlets are simply propaganda mouthpieces for the Democratic party. There’s no need to waste your time watching propaganda, even if you happen to agree with it.

Fox news lies 75% of the time. It is the only news channel that is outright distort and spin its coverage. There is a relationship between the popularity and in being a tabloid station compare to the “news channel” of CNN. Dan. Sorry to just get back to this site. I tend to fact check in two ways. I compare what information I have collected from all of the news sites I have visited. It’s not full-proof by any means. But I like to do that first. I also visit mediamatters.org, factcheck.org, and politifact.com. I then take the fact check information from those 3, and investigate the claims that they make, against other news sources. It’s almost an endless cycle, which takes up a lot of my free time each day. I’m am surprised at the claims that FOX News can not be trusted. I may not always like the delivery/tone of the news, but I find that other than being facetious from time to time, the information given as fact is fact.

I wonder if the Obama administration knows the difference between a political campaign and actually fulfilling the duties of the Office of the President, even understanding the important line of distinction beteen the legislative, judicial and executive brances? I am a retired journalist, and I must say it is unbelievable the White House has taken a position of declared war on the Fox News Network. I keep my tv on differing news channels from the time I arise at 5 a.m. until I retire for the day around 11 p.m. (I have also been a registered Democrat for over 40 years, not that it matters here). Without question, Fox News does by far the best job of having guests (strategists, pollsters, pundits) who debate both sides of the political issues. MSNBC never gives anything but the leftist side and CNN rarely has anyone on to represent the right. But over and above that, for an administration to pledge a battle with any news organization WITH TAXPAYER FUNDED employees is beyond the pale in American history. That is the kind of crap you find in Russia, China, and Hitler’s Germany. Why is Gibbs not telling his superiors this will only backfire? Or is Gibbs not that intelligent? I USED to watch CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, and Fox. I stopped watching MSNBC when it became clear during the campaign that it was just the Obamapologist Channel and that CNBC was the Obamanomics Channel. I stopped watching CNN when Anderson Cooper used sexual innuendos to describe the Tea Party Americans. Now I watch Fox exclusively and get most of my news from the Internet.

Call me crazy, but I like the old days when a President understood the first amendment to mean “free speech” not agreeable speech, “freedom of religion” not a particular religion….etc, etc, etc.

The Constitution is not that tricky to understand and I would think a Constitutional Scholar (which is almost laughable) would understand this. I just figured out–OSO is not an American. Americans do not use the term shagging to refer to sex. To Americans, shagging is a kind of dance, usually done in the pavilion at the beach. I never watched Fox News until the White House started complaining about them, out of curiosity I tuned in, now I am a regular viewer.

It just goes to show you when children have no discipline and guidance they tend to run out of control.. and that’s what this administration of preschoolers seem to being doing more and more each day on the backs of the American people. When they don’t get there way, they pout, shout and hope someone will back them up.. when they want their way, they stomp their feet, and cry,whine until someone notices and gives in..

I believe that the term “liberal” was made into a perjorative by Reagan so very few people, even those on the left like me, call themselves that today. Many Democrats probably call themselves moderate or conservative but they still vote overwhelmingly Democrat and/or for liberal candidates. Democrats outnumber Republicans by about 6 percentage points. Obama still has something like 85% job approval among Democrats and he’s pretty much splitting Independents down the middle. In short, you may have the numbers when it comes to titles like conservative versus liberal but you don’t have the numbers to win elections anywhere but the deep south.

Under the FOIA, a president can consider his PERSONAL papers and records to be included under the Presidential Records Act of 1978, that was amended by Bush to include previous and incumbent vice presidents. Obama has added to it, by being able to claim executive privilege for ANY past or present presidential record. Under FOIA this includes his personal papers, including from before his presidency commenced. He should have his private papers declared as separate, but then they would have to be subject to being opened up to public perusal, if they are located at a University, College, or Business. By not declaring them personal, but instead, Presidential Records, he can block access to this information until the EO is rescinded or changed by a following president.

Of course, he doesn’t want the truth about anything getting out there, and Fox is the ONLY channel who has the b*lls to do the hard work.

There was a very interesting observation made on FOX news yesterday, 9/12 that questioned the rate at which the TARP monies, 787 Billion were being spent/not spent. It appears that the Obama adm. is hoarding these monies until mid 2010, and then unleash torrents of money to drive up economy just before mid term elections. Any one have input similar?
