There is no doubt Obama’s team let the oil leak before taking action. The question is whether is was purposeful, to create another crisis to leverage more money and more freedoms from the people, or was it just more ineptitude, more incompetence, by the boob cluster-fork Obama administration. Nobody trusts Obama, and it doesn’t register much on the scale of unbelievabilty that Obama’s team would create another crisis like they did with the economy, with the housing industry, in order to justify further cuts in energy production and higher taxes on consumers. We know it is coming, an emergency tax for a slush fund for enviornmental disaster mitigation.

According to an article on their site it talks about how there have been 509 explosions on oil rigs since the year 2000 and some oil leaks like this have happened before but never with so much media coverage because they have capped the well much earlier. Under Bush there were quick responses.
The administration took almost two weeks to really act. NOAA knew there was a leak from day one and had written a report to Obama from the very get go and they never act. That is what the video shows. This does explain that this is Obama’s Katrina and he did a worse job than Obama but should we completely blame the presidents for what the locals in Katrina hit zone should have done or BP should have done? If yes than blame both Presidents equally, if no than the left must take back all they have said.

The report goes on to say that Transocean Ltd. operaterd the Deepwater Horizon rig that exploded and sank April 20, triggering the spill. Bp leased the rig and contracted with Transocean to drill the well.
Hayward (the BP chief executive) also said “It was their rig and their equipment that failed, run by their people with their processes.” He goes on to say “But our responsibility is the oil, and the responsibility to clean it up. And that’s what we’re doing.”

Little bit nutty there Eric. The rig going under 2 days after the blast snapped the pipe and caused the leaks. Until then the oil was burning off through the top. Then the leaks were actually in 3 places in the pipe which took a while to find since it is a mile of pipe in complete darkness. They had to use ROVs to view the whole pipe. Go back and watch the video and news reports on Youtube. The Coast Guard said they could see no oil coming out of the riser a day or two after, until the ROVs found the leaks. That was about day 6.
Of course it was stupid to assume there was no leak since it had been feeding the fire for 2 days, but that’s what the Coast Guard said. Doesn’t sound sinister as much as typical government work. There was no oil coming out the end so they thought it had been shut off. But there’s a dead man switch to trigger the shut off if the connection to the rig is broken so it wasn’t crazy to assume that had triggered. Of course it hadn’t but at most there was only a few days of slow reaction, not 9.
Feeding the crazies. That is the Fox brand they are trying to build.
Obama’s administration has done everything they can to appear suspicious in this, photo-ops, news conferences, finger pointing, and blaming the evil oil empire. I love how this guy turns every tragedy into his opportunity to CON-TROL something.
