I had to come out of retirement for this one. This does not surprise me in the least. If you read the Koran it clearly spells out what Muslims are suppose to do. They can all lie, cheat and steal in the name of Islam. It is in the Koran. Peaceful Muslims, if there is such a beast. will quote early scriptures to convince non-Muslims that they are peaceful. However, in the Koran, it states clearly that later verses, if they are in conflict with earlier verses are the correct version of the Koran. All the verses that deal with killing innocent people are in the later part of the Koran. It also clearly states that a Muslim may lie to any and all non-Muslims to further the goal of Islam, which is world domination. This is not made up, or the talking points of some right wing hate group. It is in the book of Islam for all to read.

My son who is now going into the 11th grade and had to do Islamic studies last year. I requested a copy of the syllabus prior to the class starting and after threats of a lawsuit (I already have one going to home school my kids) I obtained a copy. All it teaches are the early verses of the Koran, and the historic contributions of Islam in the world. What was lacking were the Islamic crusades of killing millions of people since it’s inception by Muhammad. The destruction of Israel as a prime focus of many Islamic states. (Iran, Syria, Jordan and so on) is left out. I objected to the class and my son's participation in the propaganda. And was told that if he failed to take the class by his final year, and pass it, he will not be eligible to graduate. My wife and I are currently deciding on what course of action to take in this matter. Will keep everyone posted.

Islam has been killing innocent people since the lifetime of its founder. The same cannot be said of Christianity. Plus, you are very confused on the concept of what a "Christian fundamentalist" is. If we define a "Christian" as a follower of "Christ," we have a major problem with the idea of Christians taking over the world to impose anything like Sharia law — which is what Islam seeks to do. If one is defined by a Christian by the Bible and a Muslim by the Quran, they are most certainly not morally equivalent whatsoever. They are most certainly not "just as dangerous" as the other.

If you look over all of the major terrorist attacks in the last 30 years, what do you find? You find Islam at the heart of most of them all over the world. Yet you find it necessary to blame Christianity as being "just as dangerous" as Islam. Your analysis doesn't match the facts.

Learn some history, since it was, in fact, the Democrats who were of the party of slavery and the KKK. They were not Christians. Your analysis of the Ten Commandments shows your reading comprehension is pathetic. Nowhere does it say "you must attend church on saturday [sic]." The commandment to observe the Sabbath was given to Israel, not the rest of the world, and the Ten Commandments said nothing about synagogue attendance. This is something you might have known if you actually read the Bible, by the way. Church attendance became Sunday for Gentile crowds, because it was a custom of Messianic Jews to meet with other believers on Sunday in addition to Sabbath services. Non-Jews are not required to observe Sabbath, so they didn't attend those in non-Jewish areas.

The ideas of both Adolf Hitler and Jim Jones were hardly based in Christianity. Jones based the movement on himself. Hitler had to present an alternative denomination of "Christianity." Why? Christians opposed him. The Nazis mocked righteous people whose lives were recorded in the Bible, ridiculed the Jews, and tried to exterminate the people of God. You cannot find these actions sanctioned in the Bible at all. You can find attacks against Jews sanctioned in the Hadiths of Islam, however.

"Fundamentalism" is a funny term. It refers to one who holds to the fundamentals of whatever it is that is being discussed. This means a Christian will take the Bible seriously, or a Muslim will take the Quran seriously. You are using it as synonym for "extremism," when in reality, that is hardly what it means. When you refer to Islamic terrorists as fundamentalists, you are admitting that Islam is inherently a proponent of terrorism.

All in all, you are a good example of why the left has nothing to offer from an intellectual point of view.

Hitler was essentially a Nationalist and an occultist. Christianity was prevalent in Germany, but Hitler planned on the eradication of Christianity in the Third Reich. You can not with good conscience equate the very sporadic violence perpetuated in the name of Christianity with the near daily atrocities that Islam mandates.

If you look at the history of the Democratic party and the Progressive movement and party, you will find a LONG history of racism, segregation, slavery (even after Lincoln freed the black slaves) social injustice. Wilson rounded up and interred thousands of Germans during WWI, re-segregated the military. FDR Rounded up Germans, Italians, Japanese and others during WWII for the same reasons as Wilson. Bush did not round up middle easterners or Muslims during the Gulf wars.
