The fact that these audio clips were recorded at different levels and fidelities (before being spliced together), that there’s no accompanying video, and that the official IDF video doesn’t include any of these responses, would all seem to indicate that these audio clips are completely fake

Regardless of any perceived positioning assumed by others about Mr. Cole’s statement quoted above, he is correct.
No one here would be so foolish as to question my well and long standing view that the Israelis acted properly in this matter. Everyone knows I support this action and my reasoning if they have done any reading at all of my views. The fact is the sound bite type of recording posted here does not clarify the sources of such comments and it leads to questioning authenticity. Having the entirety of the commo being posted would clarify such and if the length is over several hours it can be spliced in with proper labeling and time stamp so that the before and after of the specific comments can be easily discerned by the sensible mind.
This video only allows Israel to be painted and surely no one wants that unless you happen to be one of the violent extremest Muslim terrorists, communist, or a neo Nazi. With Israel already aware of their dire situation and having been in a constant state of being under attack for decades this video plays well to the people who are well aware of their own situation. However, the video was sent out to the the world as a point of what is happening, not the home front. The unfortunate “friendly fire” incident of the USS Liberty is already well documented as such by both the United States Navy and Israel. The story can be found on the internet in respectable sources including the national archives along with an accounting of the mistakes made due to circumstances that led to the tragedy. Obviously the picture, not video, came from the video you posted, sort of like a file photo, but the additional audio must be from another source. That hardly constitutes Breitbart being “taken”. If they present a news story with different audio than the one you posted it’s obviously not the same one. I’d like to know more about the audio and the source.
