I did NOT hear what is posted under the video. I heard “PRESIDENT Obama, white boy! This is totally different than what is printed above. It sounded like a black voice telling the speaker that he wanted the man’s title to be included in the speech. What’s wrong with that? He’s obviously a supporter than believes his President should be honored with the title and not referred to as Mr. How is this a racial slur? This is only a story about a misguided man than believes, albeit wrongly.

Why the silence from the msm on this racial slur? Oh, of course, because it was from a black toward a white. It only seems to work one way. Discrimination works two ways.
Jon Meacham wrote an editorial today in the NYT about the Va governor’s not including slavery in his proclamation of a month commemorating those who fought and died in the civil war. The governor is going to be vilified big time, even though he has admitted his error in that omission. Meacham went on to write about the meaning of the Confederate flag, noting in his great southern wisdom that it was the symbol of slavery and continues to be so today. He seems unaware that ill treatment of blacks existed in the north, as well. I have to ask Mr. Meacham if he was born and raised in the South, as I was. I am from Virginia and my pride in that flag was, as it was to the people I grew up with, about pride in the South, as we knew it. We never considered slavery as part of that sentiment. That pride was about my small town and small towns like it across the south, where my fellow citizens were caring of each other, where life was fairly simple and family was important. Of course there were and are elements who have misused the meaning of the flag, but I can tell you that it was not a factor in my community, as I am sure was the case in many, if not most communities in Virginia.
Bottom line, I still have pride in that flag. My grandmother lost 5 uncles in one of the battles around Manassas and I shall always respect their service. That will not change, no matter how much someone so ignorant of what it means to be a Southerner tries to blanked condemn the whole of the South.
All areas of the country have goodness in them and I’ve little doubt that the people in each have pride in who they are and how they were raised. It seems that it is the arrogant media types who would throw out the good with the bad. It will never work deep within the heart of southerners. One of the hallmarks of southern life was that we were taught courtesy toward all people, especially our elders.
To Cynthia: The speaker did show proper respect to the President by calling him Mr. Obama. There is nothing wrong with that. But funny how you gloss over the protester repeatedly yelling “white boy.” Oh, excuse me, Black people are not guilty of racism.

So how is it that President Bush is constantly referred to as simply “Bush” by the left? Why is the left so “touchy”? And how is it not a racial slur for a black man to call a white man “white boy”. If it were simply reversed to “black boy” would it not be considered a racial slur? Do you really think this heckler would be out there calling this speaker “white boy” if Obama were white? No… I don’t think so.
I think the saying is… “If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out”.
But the really big point here is not the “racism”. It is the fact that here is audio evidence of someone shouting down a “white” man that is opposed to Obama. A random video at that. Yet not one video or audio clip exist out of all the accusations of racial biggotry and racial slurs can be produced from the “Medusa Care” protest. Even though it was widely broadcast and documented the entire time by all the networks.

As far as the speaker not using the term “President”, Keith Olbermann often called Pres. Bush “Mr. Bush.” It’s just what people do sometimes, especially if they disagree w/ the current president’s policies. Are you suggesting that even in geographic areas where the population is predominately African American; the African American jury convicts based on race?
