When your hubby is trying to turn America upside down – from a capitalist “free” society into a Socialist “enslaved” society why would the American people want, or accept, that kind of change Michelle? You and your hubby can keep your change. The infusion of paper “money and credits” into an economy has not accomplished the theoretical results anticipated. When do you abandon a model that is shown not to work? Repeating the same action and expecting different results is … er, ah, er, well can result in disappointment.
Simple example, since you have such a religious bent having sat in the pews in Rev. Wright’s black liberation theology church for two decades, take the construction of the pyramids. Pharaoh waited until the Egyptian economy produced sufficient wherewithal, food and the other necessities of life, to support those working on the pyramids. He did not assign people to work on the pyramids “hoping” (and “hope” is a key concept for you), hoping that somehow diverting people’s efforts to work on the pyramids would miraculously create the goods and services needed to support those workers.
Now think Michelle. Green jobs. Paper transactions. Accounting legerdemain. None of these activities contribute anything to the economy that is used as a product to be consumed. Distribution of money through these vehicles merely introduces more money with the same amount of consumer goods available, so that there is (wash my fingers off with strong soap), the “I” word. (There are so many taboo words nowadays. I thought I’d warn you before spelling the “I” word out so that your delicate sensibilities might avoid it.) The “I” word represents “INFLATION.” Inflation is what usually follows when money is introduced and productivity does not increase accordingly.
No3 it’s the idea of “hopers” that introduction of money will somehow result in the production of goods that can be utilized by the striving masses. Does this occur? Has this occurred? I certainly wouldn’t be against it if it provided a remedy. Now, the solution has been tried many times. Where and when has it worked?
