Sotomayor has a track record of having 60% of her appeals decisions reversed by the high court. Could you hold a job with a track record like that? Could you even get a job with that kind of record? She has no clue what the Constitution is all about.

I guess the other judges,all those on the lower courts and four on SCOTUS must be racist also,since they ruled the same way Sotomayor did.

She followed the law as given in article 7 of The Civil Rights Act of 1964.The five conservative Justices made new law in their interpretation of article 7.Sounds a little like Bush v Gore to me.A little bit of judicial activism.

SCOTUS overturns about 75% of the cases it hears.Out of nearly 400 of cases,SCOTUS heard five,three were overturned,that gives you your 60%.
Every justice on SCOTUS has had their rulings overturned before sitting on court.
I hope the conservatives keep bashing her so they will lose more of the Hispanic vote than they already have.

Don’t confuse the right wing nuts with facts. It just upsets them and they soil themselves trying to respond! The fact is that after she is confirmed (and she will be) she will help shape the court so that decisions like this could be 5-4 the OTHER way. And the best part is that there is absolutely nothing that they can do about it!

Haven’t heard of “Goggle.” Did you mean “Google?” As for your judicial activism remark. Yes, the libs attempted to support the racism of Sotomayor via judicial activism. Had only firefighters of color passed the test and were denied promotions, they’d of bankrupted New Haven with lawsuits. Don’t think so? Then you most certainly are NOT keeping it real. Think of those decisions as a liberal form of saving face, even though racism lost this time out.

Fortunately, Bush selected strict constitutionalists rather than judicial activists (which–by the way–Sotomayor admits to being) and justice was done.

As for Bush/Gore. The recount done by a truly anti-Bush newspaper, namely the Miami Herald, found that in a strict audit of the results, Bush won, SCOTUS not withstanding.

Sotomayor, will be confirmed, as the dems are morally bankrupt and see no problem with a judicial activist and unabashed racist like this woman, who has spent the largest proportion of her professional career practicing identity politics. To me, she’s a Klan member, complete with white hood and noose, whose soul purpose is to enforce some sort of “getevenwiththem-ism” even though 95 percent of white folk had nothing to do with the oppression of minorities. To here most identity politic supporters, you’d think every white American ran a profitable plantation staffed by slaves. In fact, less than 5% of the population are even descendants of those people. Yet, this is the mental illness that is the liberal mindset.

The dems have to go, Sotomayor is a fine example as to why America needs a conservative in the White House. The question you really have to ask is why did those black firefighters fail the test? It was modified by a consultancy who screen it for all ethnic and racial bias. My guess is, they didn’t work hard enough. The test was as equal as possible, what wasn’t. was the cultural predisposition to hitting the books. You can speculate on why that is, but most–who’ve ever hit the books–know the answer.

The facts speak for themselves. BTW: Laziness wasn’t the cause, it was the sub-cultural nature of 70% of black households which typically are headed by a single female. Make fun of it, but in intact households, the homework gets done and discipline is enforced by the dad. Take him out of the equation and you get those firefighters who cannot pass a simple test. Bad habits develop and–as we know–habits make you, as well as break you.

Further, any group, from any ethnicity suffers the same fate, if they come from a broken home. Imagine how bad it is when 7 out of 10 of your friends are in the same boat. Perspective goes out the window and underachievement becomes endemic.

Laziness? Talk about defensive! How about manning up and taking responsibility for your failures?
