‘Family Guy’ Actress: Sarah Palin Has No Sense of Humor

CBS News: The woman who played the character with Down syndrome on the episode of "Family Guy" that drew criticism from Sarah Palin is responding to the former Alaska governor. In the episode, Andrea Fay Friedman, a 39-year-old actress and public speaker, voices Ellen, a girl with Down syndrome who is identified as the daughter of "the former governor of Alaska." It was a clear reference to Palin, whose son Trig has Down syndrome.

Well, if Ms. Friedman doesn’t mind representing a crude caricature of those who have Down’s Syndrome, that’s her choice. She gets paid for representing Down’s Syndrome persons in a way she thinks is funny. But since the character in “Family Guy” claimed to be the “daughter of the former governor of Alaska”, why would anyone expect Sarah Palin to “have a sense of humor” over this? More blah, blah, blah and double standards speak from the left.

Aleena   February 19th, 2010 - 2:52 pm

The attack was in extremely poor taste. It was not funny. It was meant to be mean and personal. You shouldn’t use disabled people as political footballs. Who knows if the words of this actress were her own?

Bite Me   February 19th, 2010 - 3:05 pm

The present writes of Family Guy have no sense of humor. Only the first two seasons were actually creative. The rest is based on dopey skits and uninventive graphics.

Anne   February 19th, 2010 - 3:15 pm

What is the special needs community’s term for a “sell-out” or an “Uncle Tom”? Imagine being paid to make fun of an infant with Down’s Syndrome when you yourself were also born with the condition! The line she claims was funny can only be understood to refer to Trig.

Soy Shai   February 19th, 2010 - 3:18 pm

Hey Sai Chai the show is on FOX the most conservative network ever. You’re a fool. Nothing about the episode was even remotely political until Sarah Palin made it that way. Go teabag yourself XD

Snailmailtrucker   February 19th, 2010 - 3:25 pm

A sense of humor?

Wait until you need someone to actually stand up for you and then see whose laughing… YOU MORON!

Shamballa   February 19th, 2010 - 3:32 pm

Poor thing. The kooks have gotten to her and poisoned her innocent mind. She probably doesn’t know that Trig is a defenseless baby. If she did, then she might think twice about her words – if they were hers to begin with. Liberals disgust me.

Ray D. Aider   February 19th, 2010 - 3:34 pm

Sounds like a carefully laid trap. I don’t think it’s funny and I have a pretty good sense of humor. So what? Should we make fun of this actresses mom now? Maybe Letterman could take a poke at her.

libertarian416   February 19th, 2010 - 3:41 pm

@ Snailmaltrucker… did you miss the part where the voice actress that did the part actually has Down Syndrome herself in real life? It would seem to me that if she’s able to make jokes about it herself she can cope prety well… probably doesn’t need the bleeding hearts of the world to step in and defend her and make the world all PC and perfect.

If a fat comedian can make fat jokes and mexican comedians can tell mexican jokes, why can’t a down syndrome voice actress make a joke about down syndrome? It seems to me if anyone’s qualified to do so, it would be her.
We don’t need more people pushing for the world to be perfectly PC – the constitutional protection of free speeck was intended for unpopular speech; no one needs to protect popular speech. Incidentally, it never specifically mentions political speech, and never provides for any exclusioins; it’s a free country, you can say whatever you want.

brian   February 19th, 2010 - 4:06 pm

It is terrible that a liberal Marxist group is using this lady because she has downs syndrome. This ladies parents out to let her in on the little joke. They are laughing at her and she doesn’t even realize it. Nothing more sickening than this.

K Nice   February 19th, 2010 - 4:35 pm

What is the punch line? Palin has a retarded kid. Where is the joke, what am I supposed to laugh at?

Sage   February 19th, 2010 - 4:37 pm

Wow, they throw this out of work “actress” a few dollars to mock Palins infant son then use her as a political prop to try and justify themselves. What a gang of douche bags!

I guess her parents also wrote the letter to the associated press….

The only family guy show I enjoyed was the parodied one on South Park. Hilarious.

keith   February 19th, 2010 - 4:44 pm

The show is not as funny as South Park.

Mike   February 19th, 2010 - 4:44 pm

reguardless of what the girl says this was an attack on Sarah’s child, leave the children alone. I am sure that she would not want any of her children made fun of.

Guest   February 19th, 2010 - 4:46 pm

Friedman – another German. All these Germans.
These Germans do not have much of a sense of humor themselves. Their joy is simply making fun of other people, their children and other defenseless babies.
I bet this German, Friedman would never make fun of an animal or even a tree.
Most of the attacks on Sarah Palin are from Christophobic idiots who do not know what Jesus said about the little children.
A real Christian would never have done this. I presume these people are only in it for the money, and for the “joy” that they get mocking others.
I for one have stopped buying anything Fox advertises until this ugly show is canceled.
I blame the Moloch who runs the network for not firing these egotistical merons.
Sprechen Sie Deutch? Dropfen Sie Tot.

RobbieK   February 19th, 2010 - 4:56 pm

Family Guy describes the lifestyles of the upper lower class in this country. I watched it once and it ranks with the worst show I had ever seen on television, next to Jerry Springer & anything shown on MyTV. The actress voice has “no sense of weight control”. Hey Guest, I have also stopped buying anything advertised on FOX until this goofball show has been canceled.

K Nice   February 19th, 2010 - 5:13 pm

libertarian 416,
I understand freedom of speech. but what is the joke? Wait, I think I got it! Palin has a kid with down syndrome haha. Wow these guys are hillarious. I’m not pc I just like jokes to be funny. South Park has an episode with 2 handicapped kids in a fight to the death. Now that was funny. The creator of this show is a leftwing loon, sometimes he’s funny but sometimes he is just plain mean to people that he doesn’t agree with. That’s ok if he makes it funny but hiring a retarded girl to do his bidding is wrong!

alex   February 19th, 2010 - 5:17 pm

“YOu think that’s bad…”

I think the show in unoriginal and horrible. Big deal, you’re offensive. You’ll make fun of people. So do another hundred shows. We use pop culture references in a pathetic atempt to fill time and look creative. This isn’t the 90s, they did that to an actual effect and did it more creatively not just reinact a movie scene and that’s your joke.

Hey, do something original, Family Guy writers. Make fun of the Prophet Mohammed.

BHO.Shat.On.US   February 19th, 2010 - 5:24 pm

I learned something from this. Liberalism also makes Down’s syndrome people cruel, too.

gilmore   February 19th, 2010 - 5:42 pm

So Palin isn’t even allowed the freedom to choose what is funny to her or not. She should run for President, and win, just to give these loony liberals heart failure so the world would be free of them. Now, that is funny!

Henry   February 19th, 2010 - 5:42 pm

[spoken with a bad slur] i’m an actress with words put in my mouth by sick cruel people, its not my fault I insult and attack private citizens with disabilities, I myself have a mental disability and display it everytime I speak.

DrEdu   February 19th, 2010 - 5:46 pm

So, when angry people from the Left feel themselves attacked they call ‘the offenders’ Right Wing nuts, intolerant, violent, etc…

BUT, when Sarah Palin rightfully expresses her disapproval for the type of ‘lines’ the SCRIPT makers made the Down Syndrome actress read, it turns our Governor Palin has “No sense of Humor’

The double standard and the hypocrisy from the ‘holier-than-thou’ left is once again patent.

HYPPOCRITS THAT IS WHAT ALL OF YOU ARE.
This all started with the mud-slinging by the Dems, the most immoral people I ever met, and it is now institutionalized.

To the Actress: your condition does not make you immune to being cruel and heartless. But you probably do not fully understand what you read and what you wrote.

To the Actress’s handlers: SHAME ON YOU!

From Minnesota   February 19th, 2010 - 5:50 pm

I saw the short video clip and thought this was the only part of the show that was offensive. However, a few minutes ago I read some of the lyrics from a song that appears in the episode and was shocked at the disgusting material. I won’t link it here–but for those of you who want to be truly understand how inappropriate this episode was you can find the lyrics at http://www.conservatives4palin.com/ .

Here is also an appropriate cartoon about this episode at http://drawfortruth.wordpress.com/category/discrimination/.

I feel sorry for the actress who plays this part. She isn’t aware how she is adding to the discrimination against “special needs” individuals.

I would not underestimate that Ms. Friedman knows what she was doing. She has acted and made speeches for years. She or her agent could clarify her statement further if they decide to. I disagree with her conclusion regarding Gov. Palin.

Lane Wolleson   February 19th, 2010 - 8:18 pm

So what! The liberals were able to find a person with DS that is mean and low class as they are. Big Whoop. Ms. Friedman ought to be ashamed of herself – oops, liberals have no shame either.

kmichaels   February 19th, 2010 - 9:34 pm

Since liberals rarely have much ethics or moral values, having them as judge of what is comical and just plain bad taste is just stupid. Generally speaking must caring human beings realize that some humor is just poor taste. If it was Obama being made fun of because he was black liberals would jump at the chance to race bait and call Fox all sorts of names. But since the butt of the joke is a conservative liberals are taking a different tact.

kmichaels   February 19th, 2010 - 9:35 pm

Also, since this gal was stupid enough to take the role she is hardly smart enough to judge it’s societal value.

Unfortunately, those in our society with the gift of an extra chromosome are sometimes at the mercy of those who are lacking moral standards. Sad, very sad.

Greg Zotta   February 19th, 2010 - 10:09 pm

It was a shot at Sarah Palin but I stopped watching Family Guy after the skit making fun of shaken baby syndrome, where Peter shakes a baby to death. I saw nothing funny in that, the guy is a left wing lib. I believe Rush did an episode of the show.

kmichaels   February 19th, 2010 - 10:26 pm

Family Guy has gotten more and more crude, repetitive and does things strictly for shock value. The butt of their jokes is generally conservatism and it caters to the 19% of US society that calls themselves liberal, for the most part that is. Of course, they hit both parties from time to time but generally speaking they portray anti-conservative values.

kmichaels   February 19th, 2010 - 10:33 pm

Seth MacFarlane, the main writer of Family Guy is a pure liberal democrat, lives in the heart of liberal hollywood in a 13.5 million dollar home. He is an arrogant son of a b-tch that plays off of juvenile crude bathroom humor targeting conservative values. He takes the moronic shock value approach in most of his work and panders to the dumbing down of American society. So it is no surprise that his so-called sense of humor is simply sick and twisted and reflects the lack of moral values in America. Especially in liberal America.

Bunker   February 19th, 2010 - 10:38 pm

Liberals like to use the old argument that they are “down with the struggle” and that allows them to make some of the most horrid off color jokes I’ve ever heard. They have found the perfect way to be the biggest bigots in the universe and get away with it.

Having 56 years of experience providing residential care for individuals with developmental disabilities and working with them in all aspects of their lives I am appalled at the deceit being perpetrated in yet another attempt to slander Sarah Palin. She was criticized relentlessly by the pro-abortion NOW gals for giving birth to a down syndrome child. Some were brazen enough to suggest that elimination of these individuals is what abortion is all about. Now she is criticized further for wanting to protect these people from the very exploitation that is being thrust upon Andrea Fay Friedman. She was obviously coached during her interview and her responses have surely been embellished.

LoneSurvivor   February 19th, 2010 - 11:20 pm

So, Palin needs to get a sense of humor? Learn to take a joke?

OH! THAT’s what the last over year and a half has been from the MSM and the disgusting Hollywood left (and some in the ‘republican party’) … a joke?

Yeah, in court I think it’s called harassment, among other things. I’ve seen lawsuits won or settled for less obvious insult/assault.

So this one actress supposedly believes (if we’re to believe she fully understands the context of the show and the resulting debate outside what her ‘family’ has told her) making fun of Sarah Palin is okay. Can we actually pop quiz her as to why? What was her motivation behind her portraying the part in the episode?

I know I’ll catch hell for this but: The Nazis had ‘Jews’ working the gas chambers and ovens. Carlos Santana wears a Che T-shirt, yet, he’d never give up everything he owns and move to Cuba to live among the REAL Cubans.
Just because the DS actress’s agent called and said, “Family Guy needs a DS actress voice for an episode” (What? Nobody could fake that voice?) and she ‘assumingly’ has now jumped into the debate we’re supposed to all just nod and back away?

This is atleast 3 of Palin’s kids that have been the butt of the left’s “jokes”. What’s next? Piper in some ‘gay’ jokes? Track in some IED jokes? And we’re all supposed to chill out … especially Palin. They’re not making fun of the kids. Their making fun of Palin. So, they’re using Palin’s kids as weapons. Oh, that’s okay then … Our bad.

Kagiso Edwards   February 19th, 2010 - 11:48 pm

mojo   February 19th, 2010 - 11:50 pm

Let them make fun of a black, or Jew or Muslim and see if there isn’t a backlash.

LETS TRY:
How about Obama’s kid Meliah saying, “I get my big ass and bad grades in school from my mother, the first lady of the United States.”

How about Rhamm Emanual’s kid wearing yarmulke saying, “I get my penny pinching and conniving ways from my dad, Obama’s Chief of Staff.”

How about Obama’s other daughter just showing up in a burqa with homicide belt around her waist, and AK-47 slung over a shoulder — no dialogue needed.

Liberals will love all that, especially since it’s art and they have great senses of humor!

How many times can you make dumb Christian jokes? They are so cliche. Gone are the days of their clever humor.

bmmg39   February 20th, 2010 - 12:30 am

Anyone beside me tired of the argument that, if you don’t find a particular thing funny, you must have no sense of humor AT ALL?

I’m sure they all have senses of humor in Palin’s family, as well, and they’re simply tired of being knocked from pillar to post, and sick of their young children being targeted, as well.

My complaint is that the Down syndrome character is an entitlement/chivalry goddess (“you should always let me go first!”); thankfully, most people, DW or otherwise, aren’t like that.

Allentown: “Do those who oppose abortions also oppose ejection seats in aircraft? EJECT! No, die in the plane – it is God’s will.”

Not sure I understand your analogy. An ejection seat prevents someone from dying. An abortion is the needless causing of a human being’s death. And, for what? To prevent a DS child from being born? That equates, in your mind, to dying in a plane crash?

IThinkINeedAPCExpert   February 20th, 2010 - 1:06 am

So then … help me out here.

Our young actress believes Palin just needs to sharpen her sense of humor and stop being so sensitive when it comes to the tard stuff. If one tard, in this case Ms Friedman, says to another tard’s mother, “quit being so retarded, lighten up a little,” then all of us should be okay with it — right?

Then further, I guess, you would advise all of us that we need to be cutting Rahm a little slack on the retard front. He merely was demonstrating his great sense of humor earlier this week when he used the “R” word to describe some fellow Democrats.

Gee, Ms Friedman, any chance you could get to work on that “N” word problem?

Gandhi's Fist   February 20th, 2010 - 1:30 am

A few things strike me about this “letter” to the NY Times. First off, this young woman must really be beating the odds for someone with downs. I’m thinking, just how does a person of distinctly lower mental ability manage to pen a missive to the NY Times and then–surprise surprise–get it published?

This is a fake “letter” written in fake defense of an unwarranted and rather unfunny attack on Palin. Libs hate her, which is, in the final analysis a good reason to like her.

poetopoet   February 20th, 2010 - 1:45 am

Here is a funny one two.

When I was young, I was so young a yearling thought I was its afterbirth.

Another? I was so fat once; a pound of my flesh was considered hazardous waste, before they knew I was a second for the remake of the Blob.

Another? I was used as a book end for the Berlin Wall, before it fell.

Another? I am so stupid, I once thought myself so beautiful Frankenstein loved me.

The willing abused, are as pathetic as their abusers.

avatar   February 20th, 2010 - 1:49 am

Allentown: I’m not that theological or ideological about abortions, but:

What if the baby was going to be born with a clubfoot? Gay? Diabetic? Black? Or, maybe you just wanted a blue eyed baby? — would those also that be “proof” of the need for abortions?

And Who would decide which fetus gets aborted — you? Pelosi? Obama? Under the health care bill, you may not be able to decide. It may be decided for you. Maybe they just say no baby for you — forced sterilization — you have a gene for high cholesterol?

As for the ejector seat in an airplane, that was just too funny! God gave us a brains to invent things like planes with ejector seats so we could use them and not have to call him long distance!

First of all, the joke wasn’t funny whatsoever -so whoever wrote it is an idiot – and no, I am not sorry calling some 39 year old with down’s syndrome an idiot if she is, in fact, the one who wrote it.
Second, Palin needs to literally ignore this type of crap – if she is going to respond to every single joke the left throws at her, she is finished.
Third, while people in the blogosphere say Sarah is not capable of being President, they really need only look at the current occupant to realize they are dead wrong. We have the idiot boy King and used car dealmaker extraordinaire in there right now and I am solidly convinced taht Palin woudld do a much better job than him.
Last, Family Guy is a friggin cartoon show with derivative humor at best. Everyone knows that MacFarlane is a huge dem/socialist. Why is anybody shocked.

bestman   February 20th, 2010 - 8:16 am

nothing new here…a hundred years ago, traveling carnivals had what were called “geeks”. Look it up. They were generally lower IQ and weak individuals, who were paid to perform acts such as biting the head off of live chickens…or allowing others to throw pies at their face. The carnival owners were no different the the producer of Family Guy. For profit, he provides “entertainment” at the expense of the most vulnerable and less fortunate. There is a special place in hell for heartless basards like him…He will surely long for the mercy he denies the likes of Trigg and the young actress he is manipulating.

Stacie   February 20th, 2010 - 8:59 am

Funny how many people here are angry over the Family Guy episode yet belittle the actress with Down’s Syndrome by insinuating she is not intelligent enough to make a statement on her own.

Even more confusing, why is it that the people who feign to know everything never seem to know how to spell the words they wish to use to communicate.

kk127   February 20th, 2010 - 9:17 am

Sarah Palin is a dimwit and who would ever put that much weight into anything she says. women who voted for the republican party just because there was a woman on the ticket need to learn to think for themselves. She is an ignorant and narrow minded person who could never handle the stress and workload of being the VP and she didn’t even know 10% of what you really should know about national security. She was an after thought, most of the republican party didn’t even know who she was. SO lighten up people, let’s carry on about something more scary and that would be the possibility of Sarah Palin running in the next election. GO on line study her. Read the book called Change of plan. It has input from both republicans and democrats behind the scenes of the last election. She is the scariest vp candidate ever. She knew nothing, skirted issues and questions. Who cares what she has to say.

I agree with Palin.Everyone should read the lyrics to the song these creeps used a bit of in that episode. http://www.conservatives4palin.com/2010/02/in-my-family-we-like-to-laugh-too-but.html Interesting the media skips over this part and uses a down syndrom person to bash at Palin.Well media this is not funny,FG is not funny. These people need to be called out and stop hiding behind your down syndrom actress.Who you are paying to say what you want her to say.She might be honnest in her opinion, but then she might not be,there is cash involved. This actress represents this show.Who is representing the millions of families that have special needs kids, who find this garbage offensive?Palin is and I thank her for speaking about this.

Adam   February 20th, 2010 - 10:01 am

Not only was the joke not funny, technically it wasn’t even a joke. It was really just a stab at Palin’s family. Any humor derived from it is about the same as dropping racial epithets at a Klan meeting. And the suggestion that they were making fun of Sarah, not her family– how? By suggesting that she has babies with DOWN Syndrome?

The fact is Family Guy is one of the most overrated shows in the history of television. It’s an unfunny rip-off of the Zucker Brothers and the Simpsons.

dobbs   February 20th, 2010 - 10:47 am

Could you imagine if this show was on NBC?? These brainwashed fools heads would have exploded.. Get over it.. Its just a cartoon.. They make fun of everybody and i mean everybody..

Doesn’t Down Syndrome prove the need for abortions?

———————————————————————–

No, but in YOUR case I’d re-think my opinion.

DS and the mentally retarded/handicapped were the first Hitler had ‘aborted’ … Then he went for the Jews … Poles … Hungarians … gays …

“Whatsoever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me” probably doesn’t mean a whole he11 of a lot to people like you.

smart independent   February 20th, 2010 - 11:28 am

every fat, ugly broad hates palin.

its called jealousy.

i see by the look of her face of this fat friedman cow, that she has Down’s syndrome herself.

so she can identify then. cool

frank   February 20th, 2010 - 11:45 am

I wonder if the family guy people have the courage to do:

1- a show mocking Islam and Mohammed

2- a show calling Obama’s daughters banana eating monkeys.

Don’t think so

truth be told   February 20th, 2010 - 12:15 pm

libertarian 416, you are a moron! There is a big difference between a fat comedian making a fat joke(obesity is self-inflicted, in most cases) and a bunch of disgusting lowlives using a person with Down’s syndrome to score a political point. This kind of behavior is atrocious & inexcusable!
PS: You may continue to toke on your bong, as your brain has obviously already disintegrated!

GMan51   February 20th, 2010 - 12:22 pm

Hey, Friedman, STFU you f’ing erdrat.

Watcher   February 20th, 2010 - 12:51 pm

When we fail to protect or defend the children or the most vunerable members of our society, we fail and fail miserably. Sorry, I find no humour at all about targeting a Downs child simply because they have issue with his mother. If Hollywood ‘writers’ have to resort to such name-calling, find another job because few of us are laughing. Your lack of talent is appalling.

JD MIX   February 20th, 2010 - 1:32 pm

No, woman – you just have no common sense.

Governor Palin’s whole point is that it is time for public figures to stand up for what is right, to call out the hypocritical thugs and leftists in the media, and to bring the public dialogue – that is, our neighborly conversations from the personal to the national level – to a place of honor, respect, civility, and candor. She is the first I can remember since President Reagan, who dares to speak forcefully about simple truths and in the defense of the defenseless. Because of her PUBLIC COURAGE, I have NO DOUBT as to her ability to be an effective leader in any office in the land. Margaret Thatcher did it, most Americans assume Hilary Clinton could do it, and I KNOW BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT that Sarah Palin can do it, and do it with greatness.

kk127 February 20th, 2010 – 9:17 am
Sarah Palin is a dimwit and who would ever put that much weight into anything she says. women who voted for the republican party just because there was a woman on the ticket need to learn to think for themselves.
***************************
My, kk127, aren’t we in a mood today! Newsflash – Republicans vote on principle, not on gender. That would be the Libs you’re referring to. As for Sarah’s intelligence, try using some of your own and researching the amazing things she did in the energy industry for Alaska. Reading something besides the Dem talking points might bring your IQ up a bit.

A. Levy   February 20th, 2010 - 4:42 pm

Friedman says, “laughing in her family is good”. How about personal attacks and making fun of others? Is that good too? I’ll bet she believes being a socialist in the Friedman family is also good. How typical of the Left, and once again, from another Commiewood nobody.

dobbs   February 20th, 2010 - 5:57 pm

So now you guys are attacking a person who has DS because she made fun of palin? you people are confused.. and BTW if you watched the whole episode you will see the point of the show was to treat everyone as equals… But we know the repubs dont think that way….

Bondguy   February 20th, 2010 - 6:35 pm

OVER THE LINE DONNY!
Of course the actress found it funny…what else is she going to say????!
Come on guys it is political and thats what makes it ok so say the radical liberals but anyone with a heart knows it was mean and well over the line.
Make fun of Barney Franks having gay sex and see who laughs!!!!!!!!!!
Cheap shot at Palin.

pcnav   February 21st, 2010 - 2:45 am

This is ridiculous. This “actress” is using the same argument the “black community” uses when they say the “N” word. “Its okay for us to say it ‘cuz its about us but any other group, the word is off limits”. Just because this actress has down syndrome doesn’t make the joke acceptable.

LibertarianismLives   February 21st, 2010 - 8:43 am

Maybe I’m just stupid. But could somebody explain what the “joke” of this skit was? I’ve watched it like three times now and I just don’t see a joke in there. In fact, the skit doesn’t even make sense to me.

Jenna   February 21st, 2010 - 9:06 am

The purpose of including a Down Syndrome character in a recent episode of Family Guy was to entice Sarah Palin into a debate with Andrea Fay Friedman who would defend the episode and personally attack Palin. If a person with Down Syndrome wasn’t offended by the Down Syndrome story line, then it wasn’t offensive and Palin is overly sensitive. As an added bonus, Friedman doesn’t like Sarah Palin and accused her of using her son’s disability for political gain, a baseless claim only a disabled person would dare to make. Friedman was paid for her role in Family Guy, so it was a foregone conclusion that she didn’t have a problem using Trig Palin’s disability to poke fun at his mother. As for the unprovoked attack on Palin’s support for the disabled? Friedman works in an industry where roles for Down Syndrome actors are scarce and she would like to work more. What better way to attract the attention and gratitude of those in the entertainment industry who take delight in using Sarah Palin and her family as a punch line?

tatertot   February 21st, 2010 - 12:53 pm

Making fun of people can easily cross the line between humor and evil. It is pretty easy to know which side is which when you are the butt of the joke. The left makes a living making fun of people, especially political candidates they disagree with. It is part of their evil Alinsky tactics. And a handicapped child is just great sport for them!

Sue01   February 21st, 2010 - 3:51 pm

Oh, she is also retarded. I get it, she was making fun of herself and her disability. If it were me, I’d slap the s### out of the writer for demeaning me and those with Down Syndrome. But, hey he’s surely a Uberlefty BDDer who thinks his crap if funny. Let’s see how he likes low ratings? Shall we????

It’s absolutely hilarious that someone with a mental disability understands the joke Family Guy was trying to make better than all of you who *aren’t* mentally disabled. I don’t think the joke was particularly funny, but not because it involved someone with down syndrome.

Who knew that it would take something like this to show how people like you *really* feel about the mentally disabled: that they’re easily controllable, not-very-bright, and unable to think for themselves. You criticize Family Guy for “taking advantage” of this actress because you believe she can’t take care of herself because of her mental disability. So, by your logic, Palin is taking advantage of Trig – and even moreso because *he’s a baby!*

Do you not see the hypocrisy here? Are you all REALLY that dumb?
