They made it clear that the only real “impact” the energy drink had was in keeping the man awake more- self caused sleep deprivation- Yet to make it a story you had to add “Police and the Coroner aren’t ready to blame energy drinks for either a hallucination or a death, you still wonder if they played a roll”
Excuse me but would you have played the story the same if the man had been drinking coffee or espresso to stay awake. You’re average energy drink has a little less caffeine than a cup of coffee of the same size. It’s sad that the man didn’t understand that what he needed was sleep- but why try to smear the energy drink market?

I am an energy drink addict,I drink ten or so a day, very expensive. But I get my sleep, cause I take my medication to come back down. They do bring out the symptoms of my schizophrenia, while I’m on them, and more so than coffee.Yes,the main active ingredient is caffeine, but in combination with the other ingredients,it’s different than coffee, more like a little line of coke.
