WEIRDOS...   October 17th, 2009 - 4:01 am

These people all seem VERY weird. Probably could all benefit from some intense therapies and/or serious meds.

Noticed some things don’t add up with the video of the “accidental launch” (where the parents are counting down to Launch-time and then the balloon gets away). For one thing, Falcon appears to walk away from the parents and the balloon BEFORE it even leaves the ground, and then it leaves the ground… So how could he possibly have felt a need to RUN AWAY AND HIDE when he had not done anything “wrong” (at least not anything visible in the video)? He looked calm and relaxed as he walked toward the camera, not running or rushed or worried or stressed.

Just does not add up.

Also, seems the first thing the father started to do when they were videotaping the “reunion” with the kid was to try to get a PLUG IN ON TELEVISION FOR HIS DUMB-A$$ED CONTRAPTION!? A father in a real situation of nearly losing his young kid would NOT have SELF-PLUGGING PUBLICITY AS HIS FIRST CONCERN.

The whole thing is just too weird; hope the Truth comes out soon and if it WAS all a preplanned STUNT, hope those nutcases HAVE TO PAY FOR THE COSTS INVOLVED. Maybe everyone in TV-land who sat there transfixed and praying for the child’s safety should also be reimbursed!

I think we’re about 14.5 minutes into their 15 minutes of fame.

Hang in there folks. It’ll be over soon.

Larse   October 17th, 2009 - 1:12 pm

Of course, things like this bring out every a*hat who claims to have known these people…

Shiori   October 17th, 2009 - 1:19 pm

An ex-girlfriend – there’s an accurate source. Gimme a break. Even if this Heene guy is a complete jerk – the media needs to back off from their witch hunt. And if it’s only media attention this guy’s after, why give it to him? Isn’t that the problem? What nonsense.

SubjectoftheUSSA   October 17th, 2009 - 2:59 pm

Why should they back off, I can’t even imagine the hundreds of thousands of dollars it cost to clear the air space and chase this stupid ass balloon down with EMT’s and police, fire department, etc.. I know if I lived in that State I sure as hell wouldn’t want my tax dollars covering this idiot father. It’s pretty damned obvious it’s a hoax, look at the launching video. This guy shows his smarts if he thought his kid could be inside that POS.

pepito cojones   October 17th, 2009 - 3:19 pm

I for one believe her. Listening to him on TV, anyone could tell Heene is dishonest. Also, that sheriff that claims he could read body language seems to be a complete and absolute doofus!

WTF??   October 17th, 2009 - 4:47 pm

What’s the big deal here?

I live across town from the Hennes, and I support their right to release helium balloons into the atmosphere – WITH or WITHOUT kids attached. They are simply providing important scientific analysis of a badly deteriorating atmosphere. To think that people could stretch this out to be some sort of megalomaniacal stunt on their part to garner attention, and possibly some profit, is just ludicrous. And then there are those peabrain Reptards out there that are just trying to make this about Obama for no reason.

It’s obvious the parents love their kids and would not put them in undue danger. They’ve researched this project, and IF THEY HAD decided to allow Falcon to ride in the gondola, you should just keep your “gondola” shut. The parents felt it was safe enough. It is none of your business. I do have to admit, my heart skipped a few beats when someone said the attached box had detached from the balloon.

If somebody markets a small helium balloon shaped like this one…I’ll puke.

NEXT!?! I’m tired of this story already.

Uh-oh! Now you’ve done it. It’s probably already on the drawing boards of various balloon manufacturers and will be out in time for Christmas-gift-giving!

(Maybe Mayumi can hold the puke-container as you barf.)

P.S. Like your handle! LOL!

So Larse, when you went to the home of these people for dinner, how did they act?

Mike   October 18th, 2009 - 10:47 am

A little innocent boy, set up by his bone head Dad to lie about the true nature of the balloon flight, goes ahead and tells the truth to the world i.e. “we did it for the show”. It was all a facade and a planned hoax to get the media’s attention which would then lead to a reality or some or type TV show starring the Dad and Mom or possibly the whole family. If you noticed during the interview with the family the mother was always looking down and hardly ever made eye contact during the interview. Disgusting indeed! It will most likely be prosecuted as a 3rd degree misdemeanor though, unless other evidence is uncovered somewhere down the line. The Dad and Mom should get some jail time just for being so reckless and devious and using their kids in such a dastardly way.

This is child abuse. The poor child was vomiting on television the next day after letting the cat out of the bag from what I imagine to be an intense brow-beating session to ensure he doesn’t make another mistake.

They can not lock up this family long enough to suit me.
