‘Every Day is a Bonus’: Honor Flight Brings WWII Vets to DC

Reason TV: In Saturday November 7, 2009 Reason.tv's Dan Hayes caught up with the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight from Wisconsin. Honor Flight is an organziation that provides World War II vets and terminally ill patients from other conflicts free travel to Washington, D.C. to tour memorials. Hayes talks with veterans who recognize that this is not only their first visit to the World War II monument, but may well be their last trip away from home.

God Bless these brave men and women. It seems so long ago to us, but to their lined faces I’m sure it seems like yesterday. I will pray for them, today especially, and thank God daily for their sacrifices for our great nation. Every day is a bonus for us all, and thanks to these brave souls we get to live it in freedom. May the Lord comfort and care for you all.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS = FEAR   November 11th, 2009 - 11:30 pm

Above is a link to an EXCELLENT ARTICLE that every American should read, about POLITICAL CORRECTNESS and *WHY* it is so prevalent today.

Quote:
“”Political correctness” – which is basically a low-grade Stockholm syndrome playing out on a broad societal stage – is actually a subtle form of brainwashing. Even establishment mouthpiece Newsweek, in its famous Dec. 24, 1990, cover story on the then-new phenomenon of political correctness on college campuses (titled “Thought Police”) conceded this truth when it reported: “PC is, strictly speaking, a totalitarian philosophy.”

Bottom line: We’re intimidated, bullied, threatened, terrorized – and so we capitulate, not just in word and deed, but in thought. Get it? ”

…”The evil of “political correctness” – the totalitarian manipulation of thought, foisted on us by twisted elitist sociopaths who hate America and everything our soldiers have fought and died for over the last two centuries, and continue to fight and die for – has to end. Now. It’s over. This nation must rise up and defy the insane thought control that is destroying our country right before our eyes.”

Thanks, WND!

These men absolutely amaze me. Every American, and all the people in Washington, should be made to sit down and watch this video. We need the Greatest Generation now–they fought and died for freedom so that we could life the quality of life we have in America, and everything the current administration is doing is a direct slap in the face of these men.

Better to fight for something then live for nothing.—George Patton
