If this health care bill wasn’t such a fraudelent, socialistic, underhanded, misconceived, unread ripoff of the working American family(lazy welfare recipients love it because it won’t cost them or their handout loving pre and post generations), maybe it wouldn’t be opposed by a majority of us. This was thrown together by the biggest failure of an administration in the history of the USA, and if the democrat zombie congressmen try to pass it, their futures in politics will be finished, and they know it. They have all the votes they need in both houses, so exactly why is there even a discussion?
So, now, our grandma’s and grandpa’s are “right-wing” extremists? The mothers of this country are ‘right-wing” extremists? Newsflash–no one is pissed that their guy lost the election!!! It has to do with the direction this country is going under this new administration. This effort is going to backfire–big time.
I have attended tea party rallies and I can tell you the anger is real. You don’t get middle class Americans out protesting on a whim. There is no ACORN for us. We are just fed up with the direction this country is heading.
Bush may have aimed the car towards the cliff, but Obama is now flooring the gas pedal.
This is just the beginning. We will not tolerate fools of either party who encourage wasteful spending.

While I very much support free speech, this is not it. This organized sociopathic behavior is what is known in some places as “disorderly conduct”, and is illegal. In addition, interference with government operations, such as a congressperson having a meeting, is also illegal.
It’s about time that these dirty tricks be seen not as isolated incidents of “citizens exercising their rights”, but as thuggish, mob-like dangerous actions which deny others rights. I’m no expert, but it would seem this would not fall within “protected speech”.
My opinion is that the RNC be investigated under laws such as RICO*, and if found culpable, disbanded. This constant atmosphere of intentional disruption deprives our country of the time needed to find the critical solutions we need to clean up the mess these very same people made in the first place.

I support single payer but HR 676 doesn’t fit the president’s guidelines and unfortunately falls right into the hands of conspiracy nuts who think the government wants to force them into a socialized state.
Let’s stop beating a dead horse on this one. If they want competition we can give them competition. It’s called The 5 Dollar Revolution.(check out details at The5DollarRevolution.com). It’s a single payer system that pays doctors and hospitals directly. It won’t raise taxes or add to the deficit and it will cover everyone and can grow to include as many people who care to participate.
Start with a competitive public option, show people how well it works and we will get universal care. Even those of us too blinded by propaganda to know a good thing when we see it.
The reason the middle class is getting so vocal at these town halls, is because the MSM won’t ask the tough questions, so we are taking it upon ourselves to do the asking. If the only way we can get to these politicians is at the town halls, then that is where we will go.
Keep deluding yourself if you think we are just an angry fringe mob.
Health Care is the only major service (and I do mean service as opposed to goods such as food or shelter) that sustains the life and welfare of our citizens that is based solely on how much a person makes. There is no doubt that if you have money you’ll have good health care here. But that’s the problem many people can’t afford good plans or any plan at all. That 50 million number does not include people whose plans don’t cover basic needs.
What if your house caught on fire or you got robbed and the fire department or police said sorry you’re going to have to pay us x amount to care. Why does your paycheck entitle you to health care in a way it doesn’t entitle you to better protection from the police or a fire fighter to come out to your house and put out a fire? If you are in an auto accident, are not hurt but are wealthy, the police are still going to make you a lower priority than someone who has been shot but is poor. It doesn’t matter how much you make the police will respond where they are needed most. Why is a pure capitalist model with insane pricing structures (the same procedure costing anywhere from $18-$7,000 depending on what insurance you have or if you have insurance) from companies whose goal it is to approve the least amount of help possible the way our Health Care works?
The DNC has completely lost my respect. They will never get another dime from me. I’m an Independent that lost his way falling for the Obama lies. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The irony is that we elected a man whose job is was to “agitate” communities–that is what community organizers do.
I am convinced that the Obama people see us as mobs and agitators (rather than citizens exercising their right to free speech)because that is how THEY operate. They cannot explain the movement on the right, because the only movement they’ve seen on the left since Martin Luther King, Jr. has been stirred up by people and organizations like the Reverend Jackson, Al Sharpton, ACORN and Barack Obama. They can’t imagine that citizens might actually rise up on their own volition and protest what they see as an illegitimate grab for power.
If town halls aren’t places where citizens can speak, what are they for? Are they supposed to be just one more place where liberal Democrats get to speak unchallenged? If people get permits to protest and then are called “mobs”, where can the American citizen speak?

The DNC isn’t use to seeing demonstrations like this unless they have bought and paid for the participants and bussed them in. But these average Americans have finally had enough. Let me ask everyone this question – are you willing to die because some person you don’t know, that isn’t a doctor, decides that you are too ‘old’ to live–or to get medical attention? Are all you young people who voted for Obama, ready to get taxed FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, even though your healthy? How many of you want to pay for ‘illegal’ aliens healthcare, think about it, really think about it!
The arguments from both sides in this debate have drawn “extremists” out from each side of the aisle. Liberal, conservative… Republican, Democrat… whatever. When your messages are nothing more than vapid, inane attacks and pro-party hoorah-ing it has no value and serves no purpose but to make you feel better about yourself and your position. As a fierce political independent and a combat veteran, what I see here disgusts me, but I also see it as “par for the course” from both sides. To the liberals: it’s really too bad that you’re getting shennanigans called on you for attacking conservatives for doing the same thing that ACORN and CodePink did… really… like a sibling tattling to their parents. To the conservatives: if you’re going to organize enough to track town hall meetings and the like, why simply stand around and shout? And the use of effigies and nazi symbolism? C’mon… that’s just pointlessly inflammatory.
If moderation and temperance return (ever arrive?) to thoughtful, intelligent debate in this country about this issue or any other political issue, something might actually be accomplished. The purpose of a two-party system is to create a balance and system of checks that promotes compromise. While I realize this is highly (naively?) idealistic on my part, the soundbite sniping from either end of the political spectrum is getting nothing done and simply serves to make each side out as fools.
