Well said, you are exactly right. One of the main attributes that separate man from other animals is a God given higher intelligence – a brain that operates on logic. All actions and motivations can be shown to promote one or the other of the two primary forces – good and evil. Good promotes life, evil destroys it. Conservative principals logically derive from a desire to do what is good by following moral principles. Liberals, on the other hand, do not believe in moral absolutes since they do not use logic, but instead are driven by emotions. Whatever feels good, do it. 1. Call the police, have the intruder arrested, and press charges.
2. Let the intruder go with the promise that he will not do this again.
3. Realize that the intruder needs food and money and that you have more than you need. You therefore negotiate with the intruder and settle on letting him have half of what he was planning to take.

Conservatives would choose option 1 for several reasons. This country was founded on the rule of law. Theft is against the law and should not be tolerated under any circumstances. There are legal ways to obtain food and shelter; many charities exist for this purpose. To condone this activity would not help the person and would endanger other members of society. The problem would get much worse, not better.

A liberal, on the other hand, would probably choose options 2 or 3. Their justification for doing this would not be based on logic, but feelings.

Of course, the motivation for allowing the flood of illegal aliens to enter our country unabated has nothing to do with lofty ideals, but furthers the goals of liberals to enslave larger numbers of the population knowing that these people will vote democratic in order to maintain themselves on the dole.

Bottom line:
This president is evil, his intentions for this country are evil, and when he says that we are “that close” he means we are “that close” to destroying America and turning it into a third world nation. We need to understand that this government is an illegitimate criminal fraud; it violates the principles of our Constitution, principals that our founding fathers and millions of citizens have fought and died for the past 200 years. It is our moral right, indeed our moral duty, to reclaim it.

Hey Obama, you are not a DICTATOR yet. Though you are working “HARD” (hard a favourite left wing description of their biased approach to their agendas) at becomming one. You still work for us, we still pay you, you are still a public servant.

This was a dumb and largely ignorant thing to say but there are some kernels of truth to it. Plenty of research has shown over the last 15-20 years that those are registered Republicans generally have a stronger preference through for conformity, tradition, etc. This isn’t necessary a good or bad thing. It largely depends on the circumstances.

I will say though that I have been a registered Republican for nearly 20 years and I am now an independent now with a clear center-right bent. It is a pretty fair criticism of the Republican party though that over the past 20 years they have gone from a party of coherent ideas that address current problems & realities. ‘Contract with America’ certainly had some BS in it but it was largely a coherent vision if Republicans took Congress in 1994 of what they would implement. Americans understood that and appreciated it. Now? Where are the serious ideas on healthcare reform? Energy policy? Foreign policy? Some ideas here and there but largely nothing comprehensive.

Plus, the Republican party has been more and more willing to accept those with who are in the clear minority in this country (e.g., Americans are about 50/50 in believing in Darwin’s theory of evolution but those who believe in creationist story according to the Bible in Genesis is very low and generally less than 5%) and yet let them espouse their views as those they have real validity or represent any kind of real majority.

Best example of this is the strict creationists. These people are entitled to their beliefs but not to implement them over all of the opposing evidence that contradicts their ridiculous theories.

Republicans will pick up seats next year in the Congress because of historical trends and the generally weak performance of the Democratic Congress and Obama but it isn’t because they have better ideas. Less regulation of financials? Are you kidding me? Lower taxes and continued deficit spending on a large basis? Fail.

Funny how when he talks with the dems, he always turns on his jive talk. Hey Barry, heard you met with Rachel Maddow,& Keith Olbermann for over 2 1/2 hours at the WH. I believe it was Will Rogers who told a story that went something like this: A young boy in Chicago was trying to sell newborn Democrat puppies to the delegates attending the Democratic convention that was in town. He was able to sell a couple, but not all of them. As luck would have it, a couple weeks later the Republican convention came to town. Well, the boy set up shop on the corner to sell the remaining puppies, passing them off as Rebuplican. Why has there not been any media inquisition into the illegal position that Obama holds? You might want to read the comments on pretty much any news story with the exception of the section on politico. The majority of those who post comments know that this guy is a socialist. While you’re at it, might want to take a look at his poll numbers. It’s not the republicans who are the only ones living in a echo chamber. You guys just have 4 distinct echo chambers (not even counting the networks) so the echo may get a louder. Doesn’t mean more people feel that way. This IS still America, and America and socialist/marxist policies generally don’t mix.

TOTUS now has the support and approval of something like 13% of the Independents. His approval is now minus 13% in the polls with numbers down as low as 42%. The school cost less than $1,000 per month for 4 years, less that the $1,250 per month it cost the City of LA to run their poor public schools at the time. What did they do with the excess money? Is no one allowed to question WHY we are on the track we are on? The birther movement is alive, not so much for some overwhelming belief that he wasn’t born in Hawaii, but more for the question “Why has he spent so much effort and money to fight release of school records (and the original birth certificate that started all the controversy)and why is he now spending taxpayer money (Dept of Justice fighting release lawsuit in California)?” Why are things like health care bill being withheld from the American people? We here in upstate NY 23 congressional district are NOT doing what we are told. The rabble is voting conservative. The rabble is assembling and tyranny will fall. In a few sentences here’s why.

The battle of Saratoga was won in large part because the freeman, and as the red coats would say “the peasants”, showed up. The forces of the crown did not face a Colonial army of less than ten thousand they faced an army that grew to TWENTY thousand in a matter of days! It was tens of thousands of people who left their homes from all over the northeast and showed up for the fight.

A fight they won and it was a pivot point in the struggle for freedom.

And again on the northern frontier of New York State the battle against tyranny is being waged again.
The Democrat party is no different than the red coats of old. They believe in the right of the state to rule over the people. Right and wrong are determined by what is best in their mind for the state. They hold to an aristocracy of political and educational elites. And the people should be thankful that the government is there to manage their lives.
The Republican party candidate in this race is a Tory. Though Freeborn and called American she has the same belief structure as the Democrat red coats, the state is the answer.
And then there is the “rabble”, that would be us. We are showing up to support a candidate (in this case Doug Hoffman) that truly supports the principles and values that our brethren of old embraced.
Folks we are here to win. And in winning change the course of our nation.

If enough of us show up, future generations may look back and say, “Once again the turning point of the struggle for freedom was won by the “rabble” on the northern frontiers of New York.”

When all the blacks get government jobs, the whites intend to stop paying all taxes immediately and watch them all starve to death without a REAL job earning a REAL income for doing REAL productive work. Hopefully, they will just go ahead and burn down the rest of Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Brooklyn and Queens, Harlem, New Orleans….and save the nation a fortune…

He took us so far off the path that to simply get back to where we were economically in 2001 is going to take 10 years or more. I supported Obama during the election. I was excited about his presidency.

I think that he has lost my support. I am American. I have friends, smart friends, of all polictical opinions. I thought this guy was going to bring us together. I voted for him because I thought he was a leader.

Tell that to Harry Reid who had a fit and wouldn’t seat Roland Burris in his now all white Senate. His excuse, even though Blagojevich was still Governor, was that he was under indictment and any appointment was invalid. It was only after Senator Dianne Feinstein, Chairwoman of the Senate Rules Committee, told Ried that the appointment was legal, did he reluctantly seat Burris.

As a lifelong conservative Republican, I cannot chastize him for that comment. He’s right and that’s what let us astray during the Bush years. Too many of our solid members of Congress sat on their hand and bit their lips over the budget bills and other legislative initiatives by the White House else be worried as being labeled traitors or Rhinos by their own party. When it was not they who were the Rhinos but those who were rubber stamping legislation we all new as Republicans wasn’t in line with our platform. The war just made it worse. No party stalwart wants to be called out as not joining lockstep with a president of their party during a war.
As nice a man as Bush was, we did him a disservice by not pushing back and forcing internal debate on what was important to us all. The Dems and Independents would have respected us more at that (even if angrily disagreeing with us)

You can criticize Obama……..I voted for him, yet I don’t agree with some of his Policies
(Bank bailouts, of Bush’s fatcats, of his Policy in the Middle East), but at least he
is intellectual, and he articulates is views………Do you remember Bush at the Podium???
