Detroit School Evacuated After Device Detonated in Building

WJBK: Students were evacuated at Phoenix Multi-Cultural Academy in Detroit after a student reportedly detonated a homemade chemical-based explosive on the third floor of the building shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday. According to Detroit Public School officials, there was no fire but smoke did fill the air. Buses were brought in to transport the students while police and homeland security officials conduct their investigation.
