Nice Bible knowledge… you got the story wrong. But hey, liberal/progressives are trying to rewrite the truth, so why not start with the Bible? Ain’t gonna’ happen….I suggest you read again the story of “Lot” and see what really happened.

Those who want to preserve the America of the sort envisioned by the founders have a problem: The ranks of the “good guys” are rife with post modernists, Gen Xers, humanists, atheists, progressives, quasi-conservatives and other such, who reject the necessity of God.

These interlopers are all characterized by one outstanding thing. They reject the foundational idea of the Declaration. That there is a creator and there is a higher authority than man.

It’s too late to save America as it was, except by a major civil conflict, protracted and costly. On the other hand, purists have nowhere else to go. There is no “New World” anymore.

The only way to convince Americans not to live under socialism is to let them live under it for awhile. Don’t worry. God will beat the stupidity of out the nation by giving it what it wants.

Just read the comments here yourself. Who are these people who pass themselves off as “conservative Americans” who want to “save” the Republic? We don’t need God? We don’t need morality? What!?

America, you have slumbered too long. There is no way you can compete with the indoctrination centers being run by the Marxists under the disguise of public schools and universities. You are partially correct. However, the founding fathers did not have in mind what we have today with multiculturalism. But, a cursory examination of history easily disproves any notion that Christianity was not central to the national culture.

ANGRY FLETCH:

The problem I have with the Pledge of Alegiance to the Flag is that:
a. It was written by a socialist named Francis Bellamy who preached that the government should indoctrinate children to NEVER RESIST.
b. It originally said nothing about God….Socialists believe Government is God.
c. It contains the word “indivisible” and if you believe in State Sovereignty and State’s Rights (see 10th amendment), then you must hold the ultimate check to Federal Power is for a State to seperate itself from the Union.

I am a Christian, but I disagree with your statement that Thomas Jefferson was a Christian. He was a Deist, not a New Testament Christian. Jefferson rejected the supernatural parts of Scripture….little things like the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Please research and correct me if I am wrong.
Still, because he was a libertarian State’s Righter, Thomas Jefferson was still the best President the US ever had, and was heavily influenced by Christianity, though not himself Christian.
