Staffer at Dem Senator’s Office Flips Off Voters Protesting Obamacare

"Her staff is refusing to talk to us. They haven't answered the door. We've been knocking for well over a half hour. No response whatsoever," one protester said outside Sen. Claire McCaskill's in St. Louis.

I don’t know everything a senator is supposed to do for their constituents, but I do know this:
1) They are supposed to represent them
2) They are supposed to communicate with them
On the eve of this huge socialist undertaking, for the senator to not respond to the constituent is grounds, in my opinion, for an election recall.
This senate body may be the worst in the history of our once-great country. Shame on this woman, Claire McCaskill.

It is shockingly clear now that we are without representation. How much more talking and protesting which has garnered zero results are WE THE PEOPLE going to do. What next?

Phelps County   July 17th, 2009 - 5:34 pm

I am a Missouri voter and was interested in video evidence of one of my state’s U.S. senators having a staff member flip the bird to constituents.

What a let-down. There is no such gesture on video. Just a guy saying it happened. That seems debatable. If they were so keen to make video, why don’t they show the alleged bird, to make the actual event live up to the headline.

Weak. I would be surprised if a staffer of any Missouri member of Congress would flip constituents the bird, especially from inside the lawmakers’ office. That would deserve disciplinary action if the video showed it.

Instead, we have a guy saying it happened. But no video. Just weak.

Limit her term   July 17th, 2009 - 5:36 pm

The next term limit opportunity is Nov elections 2010. After that is Nov 2012, 2016. See ya there, neighbor!

Elections matter. Keep up the noise. Keep it public. Video it for obvious reasons: you may need it in court.

Throw the bums out!   July 17th, 2009 - 5:38 pm

Missouri voters! You know what to do!

voter   July 17th, 2009 - 6:00 pm

phelps county
The question is? Why won’t they open the door to these constituents? I would believe a regular citizen before I would a sociopathic politician. Polititicians are encapable of telling the truth. Thats why the majority of American citizens don’t seek office.

Phelps County…you can’t be as stupid as you sound, can you? Why are the blinds closed? Why won’t she come and talk to the people she’s supposed to represent, instead of hiding from them? It wasn’t the gentleman talking who had the tv camera it was the reporter, and the “flipping off” happened before he arrived. Is it a wonder how Sen. McCaskill got elected with people like you voting for her?????

Jamesb   July 17th, 2009 - 7:30 pm

Missouri, you voted in Sen. McCaskill as a matter of sympathy for tragically losing her husband and her son late in the campaign some years ago…enough is enough…REPLACE HER ASAP. She was probably in D.C. anyway. Those coward staffers should have come out and atleast heard out their constituents of the Sen.
ELIMINATE ARROGANT DEMOCRATS FROm OFFICE ASAP!!!!

Magyarfrau   July 17th, 2009 - 8:17 pm

This is exactly what people need to keep doing. I think people need to call, email and if possible physically pay a visit to your Congressmen’s office. We have a supposed Blue Dog Dem in Congress– I have emailed her , called her office ( mailbox always full) but I think I might stop in her office next week and speak to her staffers. I don’t expect to be flipped off– if I were, I would report it to the media as these people have. She is up for election in 2010, has already declared herself a candidate and I think she will be interested ( I would hope) in what voters have to say. If we don’t stand up , the Leftist believe they can do whatever they want. They want you to feel helpless– we are not.

stan   July 17th, 2009 - 8:22 pm

What? These little people want to express their opinions to their betters?

di butler   July 17th, 2009 - 8:56 pm

I heard when the Tea Party ppl went by her office that some of them knocked and some of the young staffers were yelling out at them to go the he(( away and to get a life. It sounds like this may be the norm. I can;t imagine who’d vote to keep that witchy witch in anyway. She acts like she hates her constituents whenever she has to see them. She generally is very rude. Whatever, I don’t live there, but I was say Bye, babe to Claire.

ssn   July 17th, 2009 - 11:33 pm

the only way to stop all these non-sense is for all the responsible tax-payer citizens to join together and stop paying income tax. It is unconstitutional for the federal governement to collect income tax. A collective tax revolt is the only way to have them start paying attention to the people.

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   July 18th, 2009 - 12:21 am

To all patriotic St Louis citizens who cared enough to go out and picket…congratulations for getting the job done!

Don’t give up!

Flipping us off is what the Democratzi are doing to all of us daily!

The Democratzi are made up of “young” “irreverant” “ultra-liberal” “left wingers” who really are being misguided by all the lies and spins!

Don’t give up…keep it up! You are being effective!

ARROGANT SOBs   July 18th, 2009 - 12:21 am

What arrogance!

Oldbluesboy   July 18th, 2009 - 12:23 am

Don’t make so many assumptions about McCaskill and the staff. They were merely in there digging escape tunnels.

KNOCK LOUDER!   July 18th, 2009 - 12:26 am

KNOCK LOUDER, FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE! IF YOU KNOCK LOUD ENOUGH, THE COPS WILL COME, AND *THEN* THE CREEPS WILL OPEN THE DAMNED DOOR!

THESE SO-CALLED “STAFF AIDES” ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FILLING IN FOR THE SENATOR IN HER ABSENCE. KNOCK LOUDER.

TruthTeller   July 18th, 2009 - 12:37 am

THIS IS DISGUSTING!

Public servants, charged with the privilege and responsibility to serve the PEOPLE, hiding themselves away from the very people who they are supposed to be serving!!!

My God- is it going to take another revolution to stop this insanity?

OakvilleVoter   July 18th, 2009 - 12:57 pm

This is a big joke. But it follows a familiar pattern. Play for all the face time in Washington in front of the mainstream media, then hide from your constituents. Politicians have to be held accountable for their actions. This includes their staff as well, who I might add, are being paid on our dime. I am a Missouri resident and will remember these actions at the ballot box.

I believe that Senator McCaskill owes the people who showed up yesterday an apology on account of the poor showing of her staff. That is embarassing. Looking at the photos of the crowd, it looked very non-threatening. Mostly older folks with some moms and little kids in tow.

She also needs to answer one question. If she votes for Obamacare, who is going to pay for it? I really believe that someone is trying to bankrupt this country and most of the population is asleep at the wheel. I applaud these citizens for their efforts. We need to make a lot of noise now and keep it up for however many years it takes to flush out the system.

Above link is very helpful for contacting your legislators and expressing yourself about all the *h*t going on in our country today!

Eileen for Freedom/Liberty   July 20th, 2009 - 4:42 pm

Dear Helpful Link…thank you for posting that link…but…we don’t really know who you are or what you believe.

America…be careful about clicking on any link from anyone you don’t know from their comments or who don’t post their names!

It could be a Democratzi plant to circumvent your comments and not route them to the right area.

Check it out before you click!

Personally, I prefere to go through the search channels. When you get to the right page, bookmark it for yourself for future use and/or reference.

1. usa.gov
2. at top – site index
3. at left – fed gov
4. in middle – pick judicial or legislative (Senate & House separate here)

Just trying to make sure our comments to Washington really get to Washington!

IT IS TOO IMPORTANT TO TAKE A CHANCE!

to Phelps County…I am a 61 year old grandmother of 6 who attended the rally at
McCaskill’s office…I personally (along with others)watched as McCaskill’s
minion set about systematically lowering all of the blinds, and clearly could
be seen in the top left second floor window of her Delmar office flip the bird
right before lowering the last blind covering that window…all the while not
allowing us to voice our concerns to our elected representative and eventually
calling the police on an orderly crowd exercising their right to assemble (on
a public sidewalk) and right to freedom of speech. Bottom line, you don’t have
to take one person’s word for it…there were plenty of witnesses!
