Okay, so we the taxpayers, many of whom have been without jobs so long we have cashed in all of our retirement accounts, bail out UNIONS to pay pensions higher than we make working, so they can turn around and give the Democrats $100M. This is highly insulting, illegal and immoral. I hope Americans are really paying attention because if we had been in 2008 this man would never be in office now. I am so appalled. God help us.
Unions invested in those subprime derivatives and tanked their portfolios. For once someone needs to take responsibilty for their own actions. Not We The People, of course this is falling on deaf ears. Just keep cranking that press, it will be worthless paper/dollars soon enough.
When the unions began letting commies into their leadership, all the good work of the HUAC and McCarthy were destroyed. The unions are infested and infected with progressive radicals of the worst kind. They have stolen the money from the rank and fine.
Worse, while it was once only Union Leadership that was corrupt, it has trickled down into the rand and file. Teacher, auto workers, government employees are all corrupt and evil. Satan’s yeast has spread throughout the entire union system. They are pure evil.
I’m a teacher and I’m outraged. I pay union dues so that if a student, parent or administrator lies about abuse, mistreatment or some sort of violation, I will have representation. Furthermore, they usually help us with needed pay raises. Most of this money will not go to teachers. Many times when teachers receive raises the administrators’ union receives a bigger one. If the stimulus worked so well for teachers, why did California lay off nearly 30,000 teachers in the spring? Even if I did get a raise, it will be eaten up with higer taxes. Plus, states will have to raise college tuitions as well. That comes out of my pocket. We have to bust our butts every year to raise or keep tests scores up. This money will line many pockets and most will not see the classroom. I’m fed up with education being a political football.

Well, I voted against a 1% tax in Arizona, but 65% of people here voted FOR it.

NO! NO! NO! No bail out for unions! Under no circumstances should that be possible. The unions donated at least $300,000 (known, plus under the table dollars), to the Obama campaign fund. If they are in debt for pension money then they need to fund pensions themselves or cut pensions altogether. Pensions are a pyramid scheme…..can not be sustained under the ever increasing volume of retired. Funding this year? What about the next ten years? Failure every year. Pensions were designed by the illiterate union members who couldn’t figure ‘long term simple finance formulas’.

The taxpayers have already paid the salaries of the teachers and administrators and their union bosses – If they botched up their pension plans why should we have to pay them AGAIN? We shouldn’t.

Senator Bob Casey, (D-Pa.), is introducing legislation for a bailout of troubled union pension funds, which if passed could put another $165 billion in liabilities on the shoulders of American taxpayers.The Unions spent around 100 milion to get Obama elected and pledged 100 million for the 2010 elections to try to keep the Democrat/Statists in power. I say they should use that 100 million to shore up their pension plans and then maybe look into firing the corrupt union bosses and get another financial planner.
