Say their are 50 million uninsured. A one dollar tax per year on 330 million people equals 6 million dollars worth of insurance per year for each of the 50 million uninsured. If only 44,000 died due to lack of health insurance, that means everyone else who died had health insurance? Well – according to the census bureau, someone dies every 13 seconds:

Well – there are 60 seconds in an hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for a total of 31,536,000 seconds each year. Divided by 13: 2,425,846 deaths in the United States each year. That’s 2,381,846 deaths each year by people who have health insurance.
Now – let’s look at something else – let’s use the high estimate – assuming 60 million people do not have health insurance – and 44,000 of them die each year – do you REALIZE what percentage that is? It is .07% less than 1 tenth of one percent!!!! Now, if we estimate 300,000,000 people living in the US – the overall death rate comes to .7% that is a stark difference!!
