I suspect that as long as the Republicans say “NO” to the collective nanny state the Podesta, Obama, Reid, and Pelosi keep trying to shove down our throats that it won’t be too hard for that opposition to not only work, but be supported by the majority of voters. I’m all for saying No to policies that will destroy the financial security of this country (assuming there’s any left). The president won the election, but that didn’t make him sole owner of all political decisions. There’s still other elected officials out there who’s job is to represent the people who put them in that office.
Sucks when you build your house on LIES. I am shocked how lousy they are at getting anything done. Guess those dogs didn’t bother reading up on how to drive the car once they caught it. With the majorities they have I’m surprised we aren’t all wearing matching uniforms and reading from Obama’s baby blue book of quotes.
Another chap who’s been inside the Beltway too long. Obviously considers himself part of a ruling class, and has that same malady that most of the tired old dogs in Washington have… they think they are there to lead the people, not represent the will of the people. That’s why on healthcare, they see themselves as unassailable visionaries who are going to make changes that the dumb Americans can’t seem to grasp.
They continue to try to do things to us, not for us. And recent events would indicate that the true collapse of the American system is that the benefits go to the citizens who can send people to Washington who are best at stealing back, or bargaining back, money and benefits for their constituaents that were stolen by Washington in the first place.
(Though I’m from New Jersey, where you’d think we’d have the smarts to send some of our fine crooks to washington, but instead we elect sycophants and toadies in the Senate who think the better, and more lucrative personal game will come from picking our pockets and keeping as much as they can for themselves… either in pelf or power.Perhaps the recent election of a hard-nosed Governor will pave the way for other more talented, creative and original thinkers than the Demosaurs we have now).

Coming out on 2/12 saying “I am not a truther.” is not convincing. What happened is she realized that she crapped all over her chances and tried to rectify things. too little, too late. If she really is not a truther, she would have told Beck at the interview on the morning of 2/11. She would have said HELL NO! Fact is, she never did that.

Glenn Beck has come out against those “truthers” like Van Jones who have “signed” a petition stating without a doubt that they believe that our US government was responsible for 9/11.
Glen Beck hates truthers, understandably! But he ambushed her in that interview that she was unprepared to answer without being aware it was going to be asked. She was prepared to answer questions about Texas state politics…not a major catastrophic attack on America.
He started the interview by insulting her right off the bat. Asked her to tell the audience about herself. He didn’t say give me some personal background…so she felt he was asking about her political background and she proceeded with that. He was annoyed with that answer and put her down and said…no…no…give me some personal information. And then she proceeded with that.
He was rough with her right from the start and threw her off kilter. Then the loaded question about 9/11. Please note that Glenn Beck always likes to tell his audience ‘question with boldness’ but not in the case of this candidate!
The question he asked her was if she believed that our government had anything to do with 9/11. She specifically stated that their were lots of good questions in this matter, all the evidence is not in and she had “not spent any time on making a decision one way or the other”.
America, I could say the same thing and I, like Debra Medina, state that I believe that “radical” Islamics flew those planes into those towers and have never even given any thought into our government having anything to do with it!
But some citizens have ‘questioned with boldness’ that possibility. That doesn’t mean they are criminals! Just that they are leary of their government!
Signing a document (as true truthers did, including Van Jones) saying that you totally believe that our government is involved…is not the same as just saying you have no opinion on it! She is not a ’signed’ truther!
My goodness, America, it has been over 40 years and there are still questions about President Kennedy’s assasination and who actually was behind it! The same will go on with 9/11…it will never, ever truly be settled in the minds of millions.
I myself have heard the rumors surrounding the assassination of JFK. That LBJ (our government at the time) had a hand in it, that the Unions had a hand in it (because the Kennedys and Hoffa hated each other), that the Mafia did it….scenario after scenario and it still continues today!
Americans ‘questioning with boldness’ all scenarios never, ever signing a document that one or the other they truly believe. Do I believe that my government had anything to do with JFK or 9/11? Do I think it is possible…having lived in our society today…yes I could believe anything…but do I? No!
And that is the same with Debra Medina…what is wrong with her answers. She only said, like in the JFK investigation, we don’t have all the facts of what took place…there are still many questions to be answered and, perhaps, never will be…so that does make us wrong in ‘questioning with boldness’?
The day we stop ‘questioning with boldness’ will be the death of our Republic…the day we become zombies!
And, like, Debra Medina I want to allow all citizens to question their government at any time and any place on anything. Is not that this what ol’ Glenn himself believes? Question with boldness?
So why is it that the media and Glenn Beck are coming so hard against the only ‘real’ conservative in the Texas race? Because she has the ability to be the Governor of Texas and the Republican machine does not want it to happen.

Glenn Beck has come out against those “truthers” like Van Jones who have “signed” a petition stating without a doubt that they believe that our US government was responsible for 9/11.
Even though Glenn Beck has earned a reputation for his “crazy” conspiracy theories he has been consistent in rejecting perhaps the most infamous conspiracy theory of all.THE BIRTHERS!!!!
When other conservative talk show hosts like Rush Limbaugh and Lou Dobbs were welcoming the birthers with open arms Glenn Beck took a stand against them calling their theory simply crazy and destructive to the conservative movement and the dumbest thing I ever heard.
I mention that because from your post,I get the impression that you are a birther.Perhaps you will praise Glenn Beck for standing up against them

I listened to Beck interviewing Medina on Feb. 11. I also read the transcript of the interview. Beck was clear in his questions to Medina, he wanted to know if she was PERSONALLY a 9/11 truther. Why she was not able to state firmly that she is not a truther, if indeed she is not-—well, that’s just baffling. Beck’s interview took place in the morning. On Feb. 12, Channel 13 reported that Medina said no policemen were killed on 9/11 and she has questions why only firemen were killed -— 13 pointed out that is not true-police were killed on 9/11.
Also on Feb. 12, Medina included a statement on her website stating that she is NOT a truther, and made several appearances claiming same. Bottom line, if she is not a truther, why was it apparently difficult for her to reveal it to Beck in the first place?
Before all this fiasco began (which, incidentally SHE solely created), she had my vote and my family’s votes. Now, we stand confused about her, and she has our questions.
Looks like we’ll go with Perry in the end.

Dear Lawley at 11:21 am…I am sorry to hear that because a vote for Perry will be a continuance of the former President Bush and the present President Obama…one in the same..all Bilderbergs fulfilling their agenda to take America down from within to usher in the “New World Order”…first proclaimed by the first Bush!

This interview was a setup by a man I used to admire for his “questioning with boldness” Glen Beck! It is obvious that his pick in this race is Perry…remember him commenting after his interview with Candidate Medina how he could ‘french kiss him”?
So if it was not a setup to discredit this very worthy change in Texas politics as usual, why is it that sources from station KLIF reported that people have been receiving robo calls from the Rick Perry campaign accusing Debra Medina of being a 9/11 Truther. People started receiving calls 7 minutes after the interview ended.
How could those call been prepared to go out…with that message…just 7 mins after that interview…unless it was known that she was going to be asked that question and how the result was being manipulated?
I rest my case…Glen Beck is not really who he says he is…but Debra Medina is everything she says she is…and one of them is not a 9/11 truther!

Dear Lawley at 4:04 pm…thank you for that information…but it does not sway my thinking that she is the best candidate in your race for Governor.
You…know I know that there were police officers and fire fighters in those buildings when they collapsed and I know that no one came out of that building when they fell.
I do not know why she stated what she did…except that she had already stated that she had not thought about it and I do believe that! I think her mind is set on Texas politics and her message and this was just a way to throw her off guard in her campaign!
I don’t know her personally, I am not a citizen of Texas, but I am concerned about getting average citizens into leadership at the state and federal level.
I heard about Debra Medina and her run for Governor…I went into her web site to see what she believes and does not believe! I viewed the debates on You Tube and other interviews that she has had and it measures up to what I want for my government also…and I stand by her!
I find this all unfortunate…and as explained…I believe that Glenn Beck was sent emails about some in her campaign that might believe that our government was involved in 9/11…I don’t know if it is true or not. I have no way of knowing that…but one thing I do know that all that is hidden will one day be revealed!
And those emails could have come from the opposition…to stir up trouble for her…which they did!
It was a loaded question by Glenn and the answer to me was manipulated to hurt her run for Governor.
Just 7 mins after that interview was over…Gov Perry was doing robocalls on it! That sounds to me like a setup…and that should concern us more than a misguided answer to something she has since stated is not her view.
I thank you for your information…it has not deterred me….I hope that others in Texas make up their own minds and are not influenced by the propaganda of the opposition in the Republican party that does not want average citizens to win over their ‘polished’ good ol’ boys!
